I’ve been using this 2500 Sq.Ft Dehumidifier in my basement for the past five months, and it’s been an absolute lifesaver, quietly pulling 34 pints of moisture per day without a single hiccup, keeping the air fresh and mold-free across the entire 2500 square feet. The convenience is unbeatable with its drain hose setup, three modes, adjustable humidity control, timer, and auto defrost features that let it run seamlessly in any room from the basement to the bedroom, plus the sleep mode ensures it’s whisper-quiet even at night.I do wish the water tank had a bit more storage capacity for those super humid days, but overall, it’s a fantastic, reliable product that has transformed our home’s comfort—highly recommend it for anyone battling dampness!

Efficient and Built well
I purchased this to keep my tool room at a consistent humidity level due to the high precision tools I own. I’ve bought dozens of different brands of dehumidifiers over the years, ranging from $100 to several hundred dollars. Overall, this one is in the top 3.I can easily recognize quality, or lack thereof. Cagstul has taken the time to built a high-quality product. The build quality seems second to none, from the easy rolling castor wheels to the quiet yet extremely effective compressor. If you look at the electrical ratings, it’s efficient for its size. It’s also one of the quietest that I’ve used. It is so quiet in fact, that I can barely hear it running. A small hum is all that can be heard when it is working.I like the compact size that allows it to stay unnoticed in the corner of the room, and that the fan blows straight up and not to the side.The tank is easy to empty, or it can be permanently drained via the included drain hose. I recommend the latter since the tank is small and doesn’t hold more than a couple of glasses worth of water.The status light makes it easy to get an instant “we’re great / we’re okay / we’re in trouble” reading without having to go all the way to the unit itself.Controls are easy to use, although the graphics were at first a bit confusing. The raindrop icon means regular de-humidification mode, while the T-shirt means continuous drying. Unfortunately this is not listed or clearly explained in the manual.There’s a reason that most reviews are excellent for this dehumidifier. If you are looking for a top-of-the-line dehumidifier, I don’t think you can beat it!

Smaller dehumidifier than expected, better customer service than expected
First thing to say: It works and it’s quiet.The basic problem with this dehumidifier is that the tank is too small and too flexible. I had it in the basement and couldn’t carry it upstairs without water spilling. There’s no handle on the tank. I was keeping a bucket near it and emptying it into the bucket and empty the bucket upstairs. This minimizes spilling but doesn’t eliminate it. The auto-shutoff works, but the tank gets filled to the brim. When used this way, since the tank is flexible some spillage is inevitable.The instructions are almost non-existent. You have to be able to read icon-ese to control it properly. There’s no icon-ese Rosetta Stone included. You can tell when it’s full, however: Part of the case is green when it’s operating within the set humidity , but red with the humidity indicator reading “FL” when the tank is full.I only recommend this product when you have a way to use the (included) drain tube, and therefore don’t have to empty it manually multiple times per day. I have a large sump pump well and am now draining into that.That said, the manufacturer’s customer service was beyond exceptional. They sent me the icon-ese Rosetta Stone (pictured below) and offered to do more than I wanted. I had to up their rating for that, but still hope they stiffen up their tank.

Compact, Quiet, Capable
Obtained this unit to replace an 8 year old dehumidifier. This one is a third of the size and weight which raised doubts about its abilities. Once powered on, the fan was significantly quieter which also implied relative weakness. Doubts were quickly alleviated once in use. The digital display of ambient humidity was very accurate, being consistent with a nearby hygrometer which matched it’s readings. In a 750sq ft basement, humidity was reduced from 73% to 61% in a few days. 24 hours of use resulted in an output of 1.5 gallons of water, about one cup per hour. The tank is listed as .53 gallons so continuous drainage through the included hose is a useful option. Controls are simple and straightforward and the lighted display is attractive. Dehumidifier compressors are reportedly damaged when power is abruptly cut off. It seems this unit has a gradual shutdown to possibly prevent such harm. The attached video shows the slow shutdown. It’s nice that the ambient humidity is still displayed with the power off. This compact unit has a lot going for it. So far the only thing I miss about the old one is being to confirm it was working by just opening the cellar door and hearing it. This one is too quiet!
