Easy to read and nice looking
My husband has vascular dementia and he gets very confused about what day and time it is. A family member who is a social worker, recommended a clock like this and I was fortunate to find this one. It is perfect! It is clear, and easy to read. It gives all the information he needs to get through the day. He now will look at it and feel good about waking up knowing what day and month it is. I liked being able to pick out the frame so it blends in with his room decor. I don’t want his room to look like a hospital room, and this really looks nice. I will get another one for our family room where he spends a lot of time. It looks nice, has everything he needs to keep him aware of what day and date it is, and helps keep him on task all day. I actually have had days when I have had to look at it to keep me on task too. I highly recommend it .

Great product! I often wondered what day it is and what the date is… got out of my chair and went to look at the calendar. No help, doesn’t tell me what day it is! Oh my phone has the info… now where did I put my phone? 🙄This product tells me all I need to know!! Also appreciate the chimes on the hour (during the day only) and the …. can’t remember what I was going to say. Oh yeah, it automatically dims in the evening. The chimes were a little loud so I put some tape over the speaker and the flashdrive hole. We totally enjoy this product… helps us keep things straight in this crazy getting old and forgetful stage of life!!!

Great clock, easy to read, but could be difficult for some seniors to navigate settings.
The clock was promptly delivered and was well packaged. It appears to be of high quality and works as advertised. It is very easy to read and I will be keeping the clock for myself. HOWEVER, I really ordered it for my elderly mother in law, and as an alarm clock , it is useless for her . Although she does not have dementia, the clock is way too difficult for her to use as her alarm clock. The setting buttons are on the back of the clock, meaning you have to flip it over to find up, down, right, left, ok, etc. to set time and function, flipping back and forth to get the right settings. You even have to turn the alarm off by pressing a button the back of the clock, again flipping or turning the clock to do so as the buttons are all flush with the case. As I said, I’m keeping the clock because it works fine for me, but be aware, it may be challenging for some seniors to navigate the menus.

Great choice for vision-impaired mother with dementia!
I bought the 12 inch clock for my mother, who has dementia and is severely vision impaired-impaired. It is easy to set up and easy for her to read, and helps her a bit with her disorientation since it can show the day, month, time, and time of day (morning, evening, etc). Though costly, it is worth it! There is a small internal battery that keeps track of the time when the device is unplugged (though the screen is blank), so I don’t need to reset it. After owning it for 11 months part of the screen went blank. The company honored it’s one year warranty and sent me a new one. I hope that eventually they can design a clock like this that runs completely on batteries and does not need to stay plugged in ; it would be better to have one less electrical cord and make the clock more mobile.

Quality Clock for Cancer People Too
This clock is wonderful for cancer patients too. Sometimes people undergoing chemo and are on strong pain meds get confused. This clock reassures them of the day, time, and month. We appreciate that none of the packaging or clock say ‘dementia’. This clock works excellent, quality made and gives the patient dignity and security.

Die Verpackung wirkt hochwertig, durch genügend Polsterung kam die Uhr unfallfrei an.Auspacken, Stecker rein und los gehts. Die Einstellungen sind sehr einfach machbar. Grundprinzip: einmal auf den Menü Knopf auf der Rückseite des Gerätes drücken und mit “hoch”/”runter” durch die verschiedenen Einstellungen scrollen und mit “rechts”/”links” die Werte entsprechend einstellen. Standardmäßig war bei mir Englisch eingestellt, das war aber sehr einfach auf deutsch umstellbar.Die Display ist ausreichend groß und auch für schlechte Augen sehr gut lesbar. Man kann das Display durch eine Timer-Dimmfunktion für einen definierbaren Zeitraum abdunkeln. Ideal, falls die Ihr auf dem Nachttisch steht.Weiterhin können verschiedene Termine / Erinnerungen wie Medizin- oder Essenseinnahme programmiert werden. Zur gewünschten Zeit ertönt ein Alarm mit der entsprechenden Meldung. Eine weitere gute Hilfe für vergessliche Menschen.Es sei noch angemerkt, dass der Verkäufer sich sehr um seine Kunden kümmert: In der Verpackung lag ein Feedback Zettel bei, ebenso wurde mehrfach bezüglich der Zufriedenheit nachgefragt. Ho acquistato la versione a 12″.Il prodotto è in plastica bianca e tutto sommato si presenta bene ed assolve egregiamente al compito.Il display lcd, ed i caratteri sono enormi e si presta bene ad essere usato anche a parete.Il problema più grosso è che non c’è alcuna opzione per regolare la retroilluminazione risultando estremamente luminoso, anche con l’attenuazione notturna attiva.A livello software poteva essere fatto un pò di sforzo e permettere un po di regolazione dei colori dei caratteri.L’alimentatore switching, allegato è in versione inglese senza connettore intercambiabile, e quindi dovrete acquistarne uno oppure comperare un adattatore uk-eu.La cornice è molto ampia (circa 2cm per lato). Sarebbe stata più elegante se fosse stata più piccola.A mio modesto parere, il prezzo è un pò sopravalutato.*** UPDATE 02.04.2020 ***L’orologio perde di precisione. Va avanti di 1 minuto ogni 15gg circa, il che mi costringe a correggere l’ora.Chiederò un intervento in garanzia.
