[Multi-Ecosystem Support with Matter] An Aqara Zigbee 3.0 amera Hub G2H pro), the Zigbee Presence Sensor FP1E features Matter-over-bridge support and is also compatible with major third-party platforms, like Homekit, Alexa, Google Home, Home Assistant and Homey. (Note:only supports connectivity with Aqara Hub but not other brands hubs). Zigbee2MQTT and comparable third-party USB dongles are not officially supported by Aqara. Full product functionality may be limited or unavailable.
[mmWave Radar for Accurate Detection & Wide Coverage] Based on mmWave technology, the mmwave presence sensor FP1E achieves more precise detection compared to most PIR motion sensors. It can detect subtle movements of stationary individuals, preventing false reports in cases of inactivity. Additionally, it reduces response delay, ensuring faster and more immersive automation triggers. It enables a 120° field of view (can reach 180° in close range), up to 6m, covering an area of 35 ㎡, enough to monitor a room in your home.
[Enhanced Precision with AI Technology] Empowered by Aqara Lab’s AI technology, the smart motion sensor can proactively identify and eliminate interference sources like small pets in a space to prevent false alarms. In addition, the AI Spatial Learning capabilities allow the presence sensor FP1E to autonomously to adapt its detection sensitivity to your room, enhancing detection accuracy
[Easy to set up & Installation ] Simply plug the Human Presence Sensor into a 5V/1A DC adapter (not included) for quick and easy setup in minutes. An Aqara Zigbee 3.0 Hub is required (not included). Its intuitive APP interface makes it easy to use without having to worry about adjusting sensitivity or dealing with sources of interference in your space. Magnetic and adhesive brackets make it easy to mount on a wall, ceiling, or corner.
[Smart Automation with Detection of Moving and Still Status ] Use it with other Aqara devices for smart automations. The Presence Sensor FP1E accurately detects a human’s presence, whether moving or still, within a space, as well as the duration of their status. Unlocking a wide range of automation possibilities triggered by moving/still (Aqara Home app exclusive feature). For exemple, the FP1E works as a reminder of prolonged sitting: if still detected for over 30 min, then send a notification, and change color of light strip.

An incredible preence detection system With great settings
We purchased this device so my wife would know if I was in bed sleeping while she was at work. The functionality, connectivity, and compatibility made it a very easy installation and it is a dead simple way to detect the prescene in a room. The companion app allows you to really fine-tune the settings to what your perfect use case is. Excellent to ensure lights are turned off through automation when no one is in the room. The amount of smart device routines this enables feels endless.

Hubitat users: Good newer device for automation Zigbee
As others have said, this is a bit of a PITA to set up and pair. You have to pair it twice without removing it from the system after the first, no repeaters, use the built in driver, and get very close to the hub to avoid repeaters when first set up. Other than that, once set up and working, it’s pretty terrific. It detects occupancy, not just movement. It is Zigbee so it reports quickly, reports no movement after about 15-20 seconds of no occupancy. this is not a ‘presence’ sensor in Hubitat terms which refers to being present in the system at home. It refers to being an occupant of a room. It has no illuminance sensor so you can’t set it up for control based on illumination. At the current discounted price of about 40, It’s a good sensor. At 30 I will buy another or two. Third Reality’s motion sensor is 15-20 and a good value for a MOTION sensor. This is NOT battery operated or battery backed up and has a hard wired USB A plug with a 6′ (approx) cord, so you will need a power source for it. They say 1a (5v) works. I have mine on a 2a – hard to find just 1a these days, and they are inexpensive if you can. It also re-connects quickly if the power goes out. I found that out when moving it from the ‘setup’ location to a distant location (with repeaters). All in all not too bad. It’s not THAT new (2023) or so and has built in drivers in Hubitat – no need to download other drivers.

Finally, Presence Detection That Actually Works! (Worth the Investment)
I’ve been using this Aqara FP1E Presence Sensor for six months now, in fact, I bought a second unit because the first was so reliable. Setup was a breeze, and the versatile mounting options made it easy to place exactly where I needed it.What truly sets this apart is the rock-solid accuracy of its presence detection. For my home office, where I often sit still for long periods, this sensor has been a game-changer; it never fails to detect occupancy even with limited motion. It’s consistently on point, quickly responsive, and the adjustable sensitivity is perfect for ensuring it works precisely for my home’s specific needs. I wasted money on a few cheaper brands before this, and none of them came close to this level of consistent, daily performance. It has been absolutely worth the investment!

NEEDS Aqara Hub for Homekit compatibility but GREAT once it is working
It is erroneous to say this sensor is Zigbee 3 compatible or HomeKit compatible UNLESS you have an Aqara hub. When I added the sensor by itself to my SmartThings system, it showed up as a “Zigbee Connect thing” or some generic nonsense like that. It did nothing.I thought the Zigbee 3 note meant I could use this with HomeKit through SmartThings, but no. It specifically says “Requires Aqara Zigbee 3.0 HUB ” and they mean it. Once I bought the cheapest Aqara hub (around $29 when I got it), it still took some work and updating firmware to get it all working, but now it is flawless; I have a simple sensor that will turn lights off when I am not in my office. Also, I don’t think this will work in “HomeKit compatible” mode in the Aqara app. I tried it, but the sensor would never pair with the hub. Then when I redid it in the Aqara app with an account (not HomeKit compatible mode), I was notified to update firmware, and things all worked. Once it was set up, it worked great. But the Zigbee 3 note is really about what Aqara hub to get, not hubs in general. So, honestly, I would recommend this if you have an Aqara Zigbee 3 hub or you just add in to the cost the extra for the USB stick Aqara hub. It’s an actual “presence sensor” not just motion detection.

Inconsistent and cannot be calibrated.
I wanted to like these, but the fact is they are inconsistent and pretty much impossible to diagnose or configure. Example: I want a presence sensor to detect when I am in my home office/ where much of the time I am sitting at a desk. I have it set up overhead with a clear sight to the desk. The problem is it will work fine for a day and do 100% what I want: showing detected while I’m working….clearing when I leave. Zero issues. Then, day 2, day 3, it will start showing clear even while I’m there. Same spot for me and the sensor. Same activities. Even with a 2-5 minute buffer, it will still cause my light to shut off.The remarkable thing is when it bugs out it will show motion detected and show the right distance, just never trigger to occupied. Resetting it seems to help, which suggests this is a design flaw/software bug, but I shouldnt need to constantly reset an expensive sensor.

Very good MM Wave presence detection
As a home assistant user, I wanted to automate the garage lights to stay on when someone is in the garage and turn off when no one is. This device has a sufficient range (6M/20Ft) and detection cone (120 Degrees) to cover a North American 2 Car Garage. It can detect a person through car glass. Caveats: it cannot see through metal garage doors, it does not come with a power brick, you will need a USB-A Power brick, or consider a power receptacle with a USB power source in addition to the standard power plugs. The device can detect movement through drywall, and you can decrease the detection distance.

Works great and get my system back up and running. –
Works great

Passt so grade ebend.
