Fantastic product, reliable, well priced.
These are AWESOME. The light output is so even. None of the typical “hot spots” you get with LED strips that use larger SMD’s like 5050’s. The what I’m assuming is silicone diffusing layer over the top of the chips makes for a really nice even light output. The amount of light they provide is really nice as well. The adhesive could be of better quality, but with high light output LED strips of any variety you can seldom rely on the adhesive to hold them alone. They always seem to expand once they get warm which causes the adhesive to work itself loose. I put a section of them in a 1/2” U channel from the hardware store, and printed some brackets that cap the ends while allowing me to be able to rotate the strip 90° for use as a benchtop work light. Works phenominal because i can direct the light right onto my work area without being blinded, and the aluminum channel works well as a heatsink for them. A small m Meanwell PS, and a PWM dimmer works great for dimming them. I typically just solder directly to the strip after removing the oxide from the copper pads with an eraser, go over it with a flux pen and quickly solder pre-tinned 20ga silicone wire. I seldomly trust the connectors that sometimes come with any strip light. If you can solder, connecting to these is very easy. If you start trying to go to cheap on LED strips, I’ve noticed the quality begins to suffer. The color output of the strips is very consistent at least within the same spool. Will definitely be using more of these in the future.

Great Quality Light
Great quality light which is perfect for under cabinet lighting. This was easy to install and looks great. It’s bright and a high quality light strip. Would happily buy again for future projects

Like a tube
Yeah these are awesome. I did a section of the “Christmas” light style, and took them down but these are super smooth looking. like a tube. If you get really close and are extremely critical you can sort of make out the individual bulbs, but these are as good as it gets for tape lights I think. The strips are super sticky and tough. the installation is a breeze. be careful to MAKE SURE you keep red with red and black with black. I swapped them at some point and it took a large effort to correct. Also get a transformer without a fan. I got the cheap one with the fan – sent it back and got the silent one. The fan in the bigger transformers is super loud. I did almost 200 feet of these in a single room. Did 4 loops with wire going back to the transformer so I didn’t get a voltage drop toward the end of the loop and they are stunning! love them. I got the 500 watt transformer just to be safe. Im looking around the house for another place to put these. The color of these is perfect too, warm but not yellow and super bright. there is a slight hesitation when I turn them on, but that is not the lights its the transformer.

Nice LED! Don’t get confused like I did. Buy a 50 watt power supply.
Very bright and nice!ONE ISSUE OF CONTENTION/CONFUSION:This is going to get a bit long and technical. Bear with me. I’m a noob when it comes to electronics and LED lighting. I’m trying to follow the best recommendations from various websites and Youtube videos, and it’s taught me just enough to be dangerous. I’m going to tell you about a misunderstanding I had, in case you are prone to stumble into the same incorrect thought process. For this product both the Listing Title and the product Parameter Table say the 16.4 FT DC24V 336 LED/m strip needs 8 watts of power per meter of LED strip (8 watts per meter x 5 meters = 40 watts total). BUT THEN there is this little paragraph over in the right column in the “About This Item” section called “Power Calculation” which is written in a confusing manner and seems to say “8 watts per meter is not enough for this strip … it actually needs closer to 30 watts per meter because voltage drop needs to be considered.” At least that’s how I read it. Looking at it again for the 15th time, another way to read it is “due to voltage drop, you won’t actually end up with a total of 40 watts, you’ll end up with a lower amount closer to 30 watts.” But I took it the first way and thought it was telling me I need 30 watts per meter. And if that is the case, you would need 150 watts total (30 watts per meter x 5 meters = 150 watts). And then you’d want to increase that by a safety factor of 20%, so you’d end up at 187.5 watts (150 watts divided by a 0.80 safety factor = 187.5 watts).Due to this correction/recommendation/misunderstanding I purchased a 200 watt power supply (rounded up from 187.5 watts). But then when I received everything, I hooked up the LED strip, got out my multimeter, and measured the amperage draw: it was only 1.43 amps. Which means the LED strip at full power only needs 34.32 watts (1.43 amps x 24 volts). 34.23 watts divided by 5 meters = 6.864 watts per meter. So the amperage measurement I took with my multimeter indicated my LED strip was pulling even less than the “8 watts per meter” mentioned in the listing, and a *hell* of a lot less than the “30 watts per meter” I thought the “Power Calculation” paragraph claimed! What’s my point? If you read that paragraph the way I did, don’t worry about buying a 200 watt power supply like I did! It won’t hurt anything, but it’s WAY overkill. And if you need a dimmer knob, don’t get worked up thinking you have to find a knob or switch capable of handling a minimum of 6.25 amps (150 watts divided by 24 volts) or a minimum of 8.33 amps (200 watts divided by 24 volts). You can get away with a dimmer knob that carries a max rating of 2.4 amps. It will work. According to my measurement, the strip only pulls 1.43 amps. And even when you build in a 20% safety factor, it only pulls 1.7875 amps (1.43 amps divided by a 0.80 safety factor = 1.7875 amps). Or if you work from the nominal “8 watts per meter” in the listing title, you only need 2.0825 amps when the 20% safety net is factored in (8 watts per meter x 5 meters = 40 watts; 40 watts divided by 24 volts = 1.666 amps; 1.666 amps divided by a 0.80 safety margin = 2.0825 amps).I know that was a lot of numbers and I hope I didn’t lose anybody. But suffice it to say, don’t get confused by that “30 watts” paragraph. It isn’t saying “30 watts per meter.” Base your calculations off of 8 watts per meter, add in a safety factor to make sure you’re not maxing out your components, and you’ll be fine. Get a 50 watt power supply. That’s the one you need. For everybody who knew better, feel free to laugh at me. It’s OK.For everybody who was confused like I was, don’t sweat it. It happens. Buy this LED strip. It’s nice. And pair it with a DC 24 volt, 50 watt power supply. The end.

Bright, uniform LED strip lights that deliver—just bring your own power adapter
These high-density COB LED strip lights produce bright, consistent daylight-white illumination with excellent color rendering (CRI 90+). The light output is smooth and uniform along the entire length, making them perfect for indoor home decoration or accent lighting.Installation was straightforward thanks to the flexible strip and adhesive backing. The only downside is that the package doesn’t include a power adapter, so you’ll need to purchase a compatible DC24V power supply separately. If you don’t mind sourcing your own adapter, these strips perform exceptionally well and look fantastic when installed.

I have used other types of ribbon LED before, this is far superior! I have used the type with individual LED emitters, the maximum density type, but still got “shadows” on the back wall. This has excellent “even” light, and is a great “working” light. I use it personally, and have great reviews from the other kitchen I have used it in now. It will now be the “go to” product for the foreseeable future! I used it inside of channel. In the past I have had call backs with cleaning “kitchen grease soot”, I suggest you do as well. Especially near the stove. I mention this for this point, in past as mentioned I have used the “other” type of LED strip, when you put it in channel with a diffuser, the light is reduced so much, it takes away much of the “working light” aspect. it is still okay for ambiance, but not much else. This product does not have that issue. Using the channel & plastic cover will increase the longevity, as it is possible, to clean the diffuser!

Pros- Even lighting- Bright- Good adhesive- Long length- 12v power sourceCons- Gets pretty warm- No included controllerIts a beautiful light strip that provides even, uniform light and is accurate for the kelvin colour i chose. It really makes the colours pop for anything on the countertop so i guess it has a good colour rendering index too! Love them!

You’re going to need your own 12V power supply and your own LED driver to make use of this, this particular listing is NOT for a typical “kit” like you’ll find most light strips sold with that include these basic needs to use the light strips being sold. It’s just bare wires at the end of this strip ready to accept 12V DC.This light strip itself is easily the nicest white-only dimmable light strip that I’ve used, and it better be for what it costs I suppose. While other light strips that look like you get a huge amount of length for little money tend to space out the actual LED emitters on the strip way far apart which gives you more of a spotty illumination this strip is the exact opposite – the LED density here really high to the point where the strip appears as one continuous line of lighting especially at the higher brightness levels. Because of this and because I think the emitters themselves are just generally better quality than most, the brightness is also really good. I think this is the first light strip I’ve come across that I might actually be satisfied enough with the output to use as under counter lighting – the output of everything else is just not up to that task. The quality of the output is really just top notch.
