Works well, needs lots of batteries
The right kind of annoying 👍 Uses lots of AAA batteries though, hopefully next version uses a Lithium cell, or has option for regular AA batteries.

Nice Basic Robot
I needed help. I like to sleep, and sometimes things like work get in the way of my sleeping. In general I enjoy alarm clocks of various sorts. Rather, I should say, I have had alarm clocks of various sorts, since I get used to them and then I just turn them off and go back to sleep. I would get to the point that I could get up, walk across the room, turn off the alarm clock, and go back to bed. Or I would just hear the alarm and ignore it until it stopped. With some alarm clocks this can take 10-20 minutes. This is the mark of a true professional Sleeper, like myself. When Clocky arrived, I was skeptical, but the little robot looked quite friendly. With the operating manual, everything was simple enough, and easily programmed. Clocky came to me all the way from China, but he was the genuine article. I set him down on the bureau in my bedroom. “Hello, Clocky!” I said. He was silent.”Clocky, is the alarm active?” Still, no reply. He was not very friendly to start out. Very quiet. Not like Siri. I double checked him, and everything seemed to be operating properly though.Well, the next morning at 5 am, he suddenly broke the silence. My god, he was speaking in tongues at top volume. The constant variation in tone, pitch, and pattern was disconcerting, even … alarming. I literally leapt out of bed and walked over to where the little robot was whirling about. A gentle pat on the head soothed him instantly, and he quieted down. I went back to sleep promptly, only to be awakened mere minutes later when he let out another series of cacophonous wails. Again I ran over to him. Now he had hopped down on the floor, and had got part way under the bed. This time I picked him up firmly and poked him in the right eye. He quieted down in a hurry. I was wide awake now, heart racing. I could almost hear Clocky saying: And why consider the mote that is in my eye, but not the log in your own? He was quite right. I got up to face the day.The little robot has fast become an essential member of the household. No matter how many times his alarm awakens me, I never become accustomed to it. On one occasion, after jumping from the bureau, he developed a rattle, but a quick disassembly proved it to be a loose fleck of solder that had broken off, and all connections were in perfect order. Except for his piercing wail in the morning, he remains taciturn, but I think now this simply reflects his serious nature.

Don’t…. just don’t
I JUST WROTE A WHOLE REVIEW AND THE APP QUIT ON ME SO Y’ALL ARE GETTING THE TLDR VERSION OKI AM NOTORIOUS FOR SLEEPING THROUGH ALARMS SO PLEASE TRUST ME ON THIS:-do not waste your money or time-it worked for a couple months than crapped out on me (the interface started seeming a bit different and glitchy, and then the alarm itself stopped working, it would start the alarm tone at the correct time but after like 0.5seconds the noise would turn off and just end the alarm)-even though it did work, the way it woke me up made me so grumpy and angry that I would go back to sleep on purpose bc I could not start my day like that-it literally corroded the batteries in a matter of just a few months…. I’ve never seen that happen before unless the batteries have been in the device for years-currently am trying out the JALL wake-up light alarm thing and I like it so far, it has more features, (i think it could use a few more but im high maintenance) it uses not only noise to wake you up but also manipulates your natural sleep/wake cycle (circadian rhythm->pineal gland->melatonin->ecetera) to allow for a more peaceful awakening.AGAIN, COMING FROM A NOTORIOUS ALARM-SLEEPER-THROUGHER: I’m not joking the brightness of the light makes a chemical difference in your brain to help you wake up easier (and trust me on this bc I spent years learning crap like this with my bio/human science major and psych minor)so I guess this isn’t TLDR REALLY but if you wanna join me on my search for the perfect alarm and want to SKIP THIS USELESS STEP, you can meet me at the next step with the Jall wake up alarm thing with the bright light and we can suffer through this together

Cute alarm clock
He’s cute, he’s loud, he rolls around in a circle, and you have to get up out of bed to turn him off. As advertised.

My six-year-old told me very seriously that he’s a “deep sleeper” and needed something really strong to wake him up in the morning. We decided to try Clocky, and honestly, it’s been both hilarious and effective. The first morning, the alarm went off and Clocky immediately rolled off the nightstand and started zooming around the room. My son had no choice but to jump out of bed and chase it — and it actually worked. He was awake, laughing, and definitely not snoozing. The alarm is loud (in a good way), and the fact that it physically runs away means there’s no chance of hitting the snooze button by accident. It’s become a fun part of his morning routine, and he actually looks forward to “catching” his alarm clock. For kids or adults who sleep through regular alarms, this is a clever little solution.
