Comparable to Hue and Wiz at huge savings
Lights were incredibly easy to set-up using the Smart Life app for iOS. The lights also offer Hue or Wiz compatible color choices including whites in different hues.Set up: As is typical with most smart bulbs, the power has to be recycled three times to put them in set up mode. I was able to install all seven candelabra type bulbs and have the app recognize them the first try using the apps add lights and then auto search method. As opposed to only powering one at a time to add into the app as has been my experience with other brands. If you have a router with 2.4 and 5 ghz option, make sure your phone is connected to your 2.4 ghz connection for set up.After setting up the bulbs I renamed each bulb “master overhead 1” through seven and then created a group entitled master overhead. This allowed me to turn of the entire collection of bulbs -with a single command – you can also control each bulb in the fixture separately. However, and I mention this again below, when you import the bulbs by discovering them in the Alexa app you will see all of the bulbs but you will have to organize them into a room or group again in Alexa. In fact, if you don’t want to create a group twice and only plan on using the Alexa app then you need not do this for the Smart Life app.To add the bulbs into the Alexa app, I opened up the Alexa app and went to devices, add, lights. I selected “other” for brand and then selected the auto discover function. I have to say that I have had smart bulbs for several years now and being an early adopter the Alexa app did not initially seem to recognize or import bulbs so easily but Amazon has really improved the app. So this was smooth sailing.I also purchased these bulbs for my dining roomchandelier because of the availability in the candleabra style. Hue sells a candleabra bulb with a single bulb costing approximately $49 each. The price, quality and functionality make purchasing this brand a no brainer – unless you like wasting money. Personally, since Philips launched its Wiz series, I have stopped buying Hue bulbs altogether. Additionally, my Echo show has a built in hub which makes things so much easier as you don’t need a Hue bridge. In addition to these bulbs, the Smart Life app seems to have the ability to control just about every smart home device under the sun. However, I am not sure if Amazon would recognize them all or if you need a special hub as is the case with some products. For me, the whole point is to have voice control over the lights with an Echo dot, or show. The Smart Life app is a little bit clunky as far as picking colors and automating settings – but again, if you can also control them in the Alexa app then it’s a moot point. Again, the Alexa app will not import “groups” from Smart Life so you will have to create your own rooms or groups within Alexa to have voice control over a group of bulbs. Ergo, you can skip grouping the lights in the Smart Life app because you will just have to redo it in Alexa.

Great price for great product!!!
I have always wanted to try Smart lights since I got Alexa few years ago but I never got time / chance to order or look into it.With the pandemic going on, I had some time in my hands to look into electronic products that works with Alexa and came across to these light bulbs. The price was perfect 3 for $30 and worked with Alexa. So I decided to give it a try. They are pretty small compare to the bulbs that are sold in Home Depot. But I personally prefer small bulbs as they don’t stick out from anywhere and can be used in different settings / rooms easily.Once you download the smartphone app and set it up according to the directions everything seemed to work just as they promised it would. You could give command to Alexa to change the light colors or turn it on or off, or you could just use your smartphone app to control the light. This feature makes it worthwhile when you are not home or about to get home. One of the best thing is that it has so many different colors to work with and you can dim it to your needs when you needed.

Great smart bulbs!
Those bulbs are great.I purchase a lot of bulbs for my apartment and I needed some to install on my ceiling fans as they needed smaller bulbs.Installation: The installation was super straight forward. I downloaded the app, added the bulbs and connected with my Alexa account.Alexa: Alexa commands are super integrated and easy to use. (See the video)Quality: The quality of the bulbs are pretty good. I purchased the 8 pack and will buy 4 more to the other room.App: The app had issues to connect with Alexa, but because I added later those bulbs with the other’s company app I didn’t have issues from there. Also, for the regular light bulbs I have purchased with another company, and it was great too, but the cool thing I found out is the fact that I could also add those lights to the other company app so I can have all my lights into one place (its much easier).

Using since Oct 2020
Purchased these in 2020, the bulbs themselves are good, not very bright but all functions work well.I recently had to change my WiFi & had a lot of difficulty finding the correct app to reinitiate connection. 1 smart Life app had a ridiculous amount of adds & a fee to use all functions, it would not connect to the light.Luckily I found an old tablet with the original app still installed & got it set back up with no hassle, however I’m weary to update the app now in case it is now fee based/ad riddled, there a several negative reviews on the app as of April 2024. Guess time will tell how much longer I can use this light on the old version I have.

These bulbs are a waste of time
Worked fine for a while, but they’ll randomly stop working with my Alexa and I’ll need to re-link Smart Life to my Alexa app. Now it’s not working no matter what I do. Before when i would re-connect the lights the app would create a temporary 2.4 gHz wi-fi network for me to use to connect them, but it wont even do that now. Tempted to buy different bulbs and just throw these away. So many problems just so I can sometimes say “set the lights to 50%”. Waste of my money and my time.

Cool WiFi candelabra bulbs!
I installed these in the coach lamps outside my overhead garage doors. I’ve used smart WiFi bulbs before but they always had a standard based. Unfortunately, my coach lamps require a candelabra base and the reviews I had read about other similar products were very discouraging.I installed these bulbs a week ago and they have been great so far. They installed easily, they work well with the SmartLife app, and connected easily to my WiFi network (I had also been concerned about the network connection outside of the house). It took a few tries to get them to synch with Google Home and Google Assistant but they now respond to voice commands.I can set up a schedule for the bulbs, check their status and turn them on and off remotely, and change their colors to match the holidays. Just what I wanted.
