Doxie Pro DX400 – Duplex Document Scanner and Receipt Scanner for Home and Office with Amazing Software for Mac and PC

Good quality and fast scaning.
The Doxie pro is doing exactly what i need it to. Setup was easy and scanning is fairly quick as long as your paper is in good condition. But even for paper thats in bad condition, receipts or other items the single item feed mode works great but obviously not as quick because you have to do them one at a time.Image quality and readability of all documents was good and i didn’t even choose the highest settings. It also auto cropped and straightened all the documents.The size and weight are good for a scanner that can scan 20 normal documents at a time. When its folded up it’s fairly compact.Id say the value is priced a bit high at full price. But I got this used(like new) for $150 and I would say thats a good price for this scanner.

All the features we wanted with a small footprint
We have limited desk space but needed a scanner to operate our “paperless” office. So I reviewed all the scanners available on Amazon and found Doxie. I have never heard of the brand but with great reviews I did a deep dive. It had all the key features:- Multi-page document feeder- photo or thick original alternate feed- automatic single-pass front-back scanning but ignores blank pages- simple intuitive app where multiple scans can be converted into multiple formats all at onceBased upon checking the boxes I went for it. On arrival I was pleasantly surprised:- setup was sooooo simple and a great quick start aided in the process- footprint was even smaller than I envisioned. Our desk space is still open for work- after hundreds of scans, it still hasn’t pulled through two pages at once and unlike the other feeders I have used, the pages pull through straight so no crooked scans- clarity of the scans is excellent- file sizes are less than expected even with high resolution – less space used in our cloud accountI tend to be VERY critical as I have run technology companies in the past and have a product development background. This product has truly exceeded my expectations.

J’ai acheté ce scanner pour les besoins quotidiens de ma petite PME.Chaque jour je dois scanner le ticket ‘Z’ de caisse, les rapports de télécollectes, les factures etc…Ce scanner est de bonne qualité, très facile d’utilisation grâce à l’application fournie, et d’une rapidité incroyable. Il est de taille très réduite mais a toutes les fonctions d’un grand.

I rate the DoxiePro as an excellent scanner, portable or not. It is far easier to use than my HP Printer flatbed scanner was and honestly think the end result is a crisper, cleaner image. Once you get used to it, you can plow through tons of receipts and papers in no time. We will be travelling in our RV and there is simply no room for a carton of receipts, documentation, etc. Using the DoxiePro, I digitized all important documents we may need, all tax-related receipts, etc. Because the scan area is not fixed, you can scan some odd lengths of paper – like one of those weirdly long receipts you sometimes get. The software is quite powerful, for example you can set your own “custom” scan profile; sometimes you may want archive quality single sided but other times a quick duplex scan will do nicely. You can crop, rotate, boost contrast, etc. and save the scan to an array of formats included. The software also has a neat staple function where you can scan various single sheets, click on the ones you want to group together and “staple” them into a single document. Conversely, if you scan double sided and want to delete blank sheets that may have been created you can “unstaple” the document, delete the unwanted sheets and put it back together as one document. There is so much more that I haven’t explored yet. The scanner is very portable and can be tucked into a cupboard along with my laptop and pulled out when needed. I should note that the DoxiePro is a corded model which works fine for us as I cannot envision when we would need to scan anything while on the go. The available protective shell case is sleek and compact, keeping the scanner, cords and maintenance kit in one place. The customer service is unparalleled; my few questions were answered immediately and they continued to follow up for some time to ensure everything was going smoothly. I am proud to support a Canadian company that produces such a high quality product and would highly recommend the DoxiePro.

Die Verarbeitung des Scanners ist für den Preis entsprechend gut. Die Qualität der gescannten Dokumente ist auch gut. Ich empfehle in der Software für den Scanner nicht den automatischen Modus für grau, schwarz und Farbe zu verwenden und die Farbwahl manuell einzustellen in ein eigenes Profil anzulegen. Somit lassen sich die unterschiedlichen Hintergrundfarben von Vorderseite und Rückseite von einem Dokument so ziemlich ganz vermeiden. Dieses Problem wurde schon in einer vorherigen Bewertung angesprochen. Die Software selber ist sehr schlicht und einfach gehalten und ich hatte mit dem Betriebssystem Windows kein Problem. Die Installation hat nur etwas gedauert. Der Einzug funktioniert sehr gut, nur sehr selten wurden mehrere Blätter auf einmal eingezogen, dass passierte aber nur bei sehr dünnen Blättern und habe diese denn einfach einzeln gescannt.
