Good first impression so far
I’ve only used this for one day so far, but first impressions are good. Setup was easy, and it mapped my home quickly. The suction is strong, and it did a nice job picking up dust and hair.The mopping feature worked better than I expected for light cleaning. I’ll need more time to see how it performs long term, but so far I’m satisfied.

Hands-Off Cleaning Made Easy
I’ve heard a lot about how smart robot vacuums have become, so when DREAME L40s Ultra went to sale during the holiday season, I decided to give it a try. I upgraded from a Dyson handheld vacuum, and so far, the experience has been nothing short of amazing.The vacuum easily maps my floors, vacuums, and mops with impressive precision. The best part is how truly hands-off the whole process is – everything is set up through the app, and the robot takes care of the rest. Once cleaning is finished, the DREAME L40s Ultra automatically empties the dust bin, refills the water tank, and cleans and dries the mop on its own. It’s made daily cleaning effortless and incredibly convenient.

Overhyped by Youtubers, Issues w/ the Basics
Purchased this based on the glowing review from Vacuum Wars and I’ve been pretty disappointed. The basic vacuum quality is inconsistent, unless you have it on the max setting I’ve found that it regularly misses pieces of debris on the floor along its path. The mop heads are always attached and while the cleaning dock works well, they brush against any carpet when the robot drives over them. It’s not very good at raising them. Gonna just wait for the next generation of robots from the dozens of companies that offer almost identical ones now.Edit: Knocking off another star. The logic for which rooms it cleans is messy. For example, I’ll select the following order of rooms to vacuum/mop at the same time: Kitchen, Dining Room, Living Room. Instead of doing the kitchen first, it will go and clean just the carpet in the Living Room first. I understand why (pads get wet only after carpets are done) but then it’ll use up most of the battery doing all the carpets first, half finish the mopping, and charge for four hours when my first priority was cleaning the kitchen.I’ve used Roborocks for years and have never had issues this frustrating. Was expecting way better with Dreame given all the hype but it’s been nothing but annoying.

Skeptical wife is finally sold! A game changer for dog owners.
My wife was extremely hesitant about getting a robot vacuum; she didn’t believe the technology was ready yet. With 2 dogs, 2 boys, and hardwood floors, our house is high-traffic, and she used to vacuum daily just to keep up with the dog hair. I did a lot of research and landed on the Dreame L40s Ultra AE primarily because of the RGB camera combined with Lidar and AI navigation. I am happy to report that the research paid off.I set the robot to run daily while my wife is out dropping the kids off at school. The results were immediate. Her cleaning effort has dropped to zero. She comes home to shiny floors—no dog hair, no muddy puppy prints.Performance & Design:• Navigation: It mapped the house quickly and flawlessly right out of the box. It hasn’t fallen down steps or gotten stuck on random furniture.• Engineering: The design is impressive. It uses magnets to isolate mechanical components, meaning there are very few exposed gears to get clogged or broken by the elements.• The App: Very straightforward. It sends helpful alerts for refilling tanks or emptying the bin.Real World Test:We had one “failure” where the kids left a wad of paper on the floor. The robot sucked it up, realized it was stuck, and sent me an alert immediately. It took exactly 5 seconds to clear the obstruction.The Only Con thus far:You have to use their proprietary detergent. However, from what I understand, this is standard for high-end robot mops to protect the internal lines.If you are on the fence or have a skeptical partner, this is the one to get.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Powerful, Smart, and Worth the ResearchAfter shopping and researching on Amazon for over a month, I chose the Dreame L40 Ultra (19,000 Pa) and have been very pleased overall.My 3,400 sq. ft. home is handled well. It mapped the house quickly and accurately, and I love being able to create multiple zones and choose vacuum only, vacuum & mop, or mop only for each area.It performs great on hard floors and standard rugs, including two 12×14 rugs. The only reason for four stars instead of five is my 10×10 multilevel shag rug, which is very thick— the robot struggles, vacuuming this rug.The app is feature-rich, so be patient while learning it. Once you spend some time with it, the control and customization are excellent.Overall, this is a powerful, well-designed robot vacuum and mop and a solid choice for larger homes.

The package is heavy and full of stuffs thus better 2 ppl to carry. It created the map while cleaning at the time for 1st time. It’s pretty quiet (not scary to pets at all) with such high power compared with my old ones. Also, it lights up in the dark area(nice for me to check the cleanness as well).With the multiple purpose cleaner filled, my wood floor looks even shinier. Just 1 thing to mention, the QR code to connect is located within the inner side of the robot cover which’s not so convenient to scan while the robot is in the station for 1st time. As long as connected, it’s all good. Overall did a great job that saves my life and make it possible to clean the hard to reach area like under table, cabinet and beds. Go for it, if you’re looking for high value mop + vacuum robot.

This is my first robot vacuum, and I’m seriously impressed after a week of use! Setup was super easy, and it leaves my floors spotless every time. It handles pet hair really well — perfect for homes with furry friends. The base station does a great job cleaning itself and runs pretty quietly. I’m also surprised by how well it gets into corners and how easy it is to set up different zones and floors. Overall, I’m really happy with this purchase. Solid 5 stars!

The Dreame L40s Ultra AE is a powerful and convenient robot cleaning tool. It is a great addition to my home. Setup took just minutes, and the app makes mapping and scheduling simple. The mapping feels accurate, and the robot moves smoothly without getting stuck or confused. Suction is strong enough on both hard floors and carpets, and the dual spinning mops work great with noticeably clean floors. The base station really adds to the convenience. It empties the dust bin, washes and dries the mop pads. The robot keeps my home clean automatically, free me from the labor work and saves me time. It’s really useful for me.

When charging the robot has a very loud buzzing noise. Its very annoying to hear so if you want a quiet robot charge do not get this one.

This robot vacuum’s obstacle avoidance is much better than the one I used before, and the suction power is impressively strong. It even manages to pull up dog hair from my carpets, which is something most vacuums struggle with. I also like that it uses a built-in light in darker areas, which seems to make its cleaning path more precise.That said, I did notice one issue that could be improved. My entire floor is carpeted, and at first, I didn’t attach the two mop pads at the back. Without the mop pads installed, the vacuum couldn’t return to its base station at all. I had to put the mop pads on before it would dock properly. Since my floors are carpet, this isn’t very practical. It would be much better if the vacuum could return to the base station even without the mop pads attached.
