Works great for Clovers!
I’ve bought several of these for my Clover POS merchants since they’re significantly cheaper and better than the ones the processors send out with the Clover systems. They’re super easy to use, reliable, durable, and they scan multiple items very fast.I will say the last one I ordered did have some kind of malfunction. Worked great for the first few hours then the hot key stopped working so the button had to be pressed every time to scan. I called the seller and they tried to help me reprogram it but it didn’t work. They sent out a no cost replacement and it was there the next day! Great product and customer service.

Robust 1D/2D barcode scanner with USB cable
This 1D/2D barcode scanner comes with a USB cable (uses a unique connection on the scanner end of the cable). Thus by default when you plug it into a typical computer, it will appear to be another keyboard device. This means you can start scanning right away and what application and field has the focus, will receive the input of the barcode value that the scanner has read. To see this in action, you can open Notepad or any other plain text editor as an example, and just start scanning codes. You will see the codes typed in as quick as you can scan them. Scanning is very quick and robust. It read all the test barcodes of various formats I threw at it super fast. Orientation of the barcode did not affect recognition too much as it easily still scanned barcodes that were at odd angles. I was able to successfully scan barcodes from the screens of a few phones I tried, but scanning from a monitor was they only time it did not seem to pickup the barcodes well, or at all. Otherwise scanning was very quick and robust. With the right cable, not included, it can also function as a serial port scanner. This is essential for some applications which allow scanning activity independent of keyboard and mouse activity. The pinout for the cable is provided in the PDF manual, but note that the RS-232 serial port on this scanner uses TTL level voltages. Devices which use the full RS-232C voltages will need an appropriate interface. The scanner also supports a point and shoot mode which is handy for scanning specific barcodes on a label or sheet that contains multiple barcodes. The point and shoot mode allows you to aim and select the specific barcode you want to use.The PDF manual for the DS9208 (Zebra/Symbol/Motorola) contains a ton of additional information on configuring a large number of options that the scanner supports for optimizing performance.
