Do not buy this camera!
The worst camera out right now. This camera constantly goes off line. I unplug it and wait 30 seconds and plug it back in, it works for a couple of days and then goes off line again. Now I have a fancy and expensive paper weight.

This is my favorite HomeKit camera and I’ve tried almost all of them.
I love this camera. It is reliable, nice looking, and with your account you can chose between two types of security. Professional monitoring $10/mo. or self monitoring $5/mo. I live in a dorm type situation so this gives my room added security. It uses your phones location to auto-arm and auto-disarm when you exit or enter your geofence. However I have one complaint. If the alarm is triggered, the siren doesn’t automatically go off. You get a notification saying there was movement that triggered your alarm and then you have to manually press the siren while looking at the livestream. I think there should be a setting so that when the alarm is triggered the siren immediately sounds.

ecobee is my go to for smart home security and HVAC control. Always great quality products and great customer support.

I’m a fan of ecobee because of their quality made products. However, the subscription based storage is unacceptable. I know the subscription is not just for storage but also for other features of the camera that will be activated, such as fire alarm monitoring.

Looses connection often, and slow to respond for automation. good picture and features. Hopefully firmware upgrades could improve it.
