Step1: Thread the power cable through the hole, with the smaller end of the cable exiting the front.
Step2: Plug the smaller end of the USB cable into the thermostat base.
Step3: Press the base onto the stand until it clicks into place. Secure with the provided screws.
Step4: Press the thermostat display into the base. You should hear a click and the display snaps into place.
Step5: Connect the larger end of the USB cable to the plug and insert it into a wall outlet. The thermostat will turn on.

Nest Bracket Should Have Horizontal Screw Mounts, Not Vertical
I was initially perplexed on trying to mount my Nest into this tabletop bracket. This is because on my Nest mounting bracket, my screw mounts are vertical, and this Nest bracket is designed to be secured with horizontal mounted screws. Weird. I thought I had a Gen 3 Nest unit, but maybe not? Well, I was able to make the tabletop stand work by using some self tapping screws to mount it vertically, as it should be. So check your bracket before buying and make sure it is a horizontal screw mount. I attached a picture from the installation instructions from the manual.Otherwise, it is a very nicely made and good looking tabletop mount for a Nest. I’m not sure why my bracket was different (so I don’t fault the manufacturer), but I’m glad I got mine to work in the end. I would not necessarily advise others to do what I did, just make sure your Nest bracket is designed for horizontal screw mounts.

Why is this product missing the most important piece and gives no clue how to correct it… plus the screw holes are in the totally wrong place. Oh, AND good luck finding the required back plate because it doesn’t exist or just isn’t purchasable….

Nice weighted stand for the nest Thermostat
Great stand to put the thermostat onto a desk or nightstand. Nicely built with solid screw holes. It looks really nice on my desk, and holds the thermostat nicely, and fits nicely. Simple to setup.
