Nice display, reliable product
These thermostats are my go to for new installs and changeouts. They are easily installed and customers like the well lit LED screen. I’ve installed a ton of these things and only have had one fail after a little more than a year after install. I’m satisfied with that for the cost and I always carry a box in my van. Only thing the product doesn’t come with batteries so I care a large pack of those as well. Great product overall though.

A decent basic thermostat with easy to read display
This is a good option for those looking for a basic thermostat with a large display, and front access batteries in rental situations. There is really no complaint about it for the price, installation is easy as the back plate comes off and all the wires go to it and can be swapped out if damaged. I really like the front access battery change, so people do not damage the pins when removing the thermostat to change batteries. For those on heat pump installations, be sure to read the manual as one will need to provide a jumper for the compressor to heat. For the price its really decent and has desirable ease of use features for the price point.Edit:The newer version in the single pack has an even larger display and uses AA bateries instead of AAA like the older and 2 pack version, also a bubble level is included on the base for an easier install. These seem like great upgrades over the original, for some reason the 2 pack sill comes with the smaller version

Easy to use and temperature control is accurate
Very nice basic thermostat. No wifi, programming, subscription , or app on your phone needed. Just a basic set the temperature and it works. It sets up easily and holds the temperature well. Be sure to read both the installation and user instructions. There is information in the installation instructions that are not in the user manual that is necessary for setting up and using the thermostat. Although you nay not need/want to change the factory settings.

Simple and Works Well
This digital thermostat replaced my “analog type” thermostat.My (previous) “analog type” thermostat had an internal metal coil which I found to be very inaccurate.I find this digital thermostat to be much more accurate.Its measurement and display of the current temperature is more accurate.The temperature (when my furnace turns on and off) is more accurate.- – – -This digital thermostat has a CALIBRATION featureallowing me to displace the current room temperature up/down (a maximum of) four degrees.I had to adjust the “current room temperature” display, down four degrees.Meaning; Without this CALIBRATION adjustment,this digital thermostat showed 74 degrees when my room was actually 70 degrees.See page eight of the “Operation Manual – 701” > CALIBRATION Setting.This “CALIBRATION Setting” is very useful.- – – -Operation Note: This thermostat’s digital display has very helpful backlighting.The first time you press the Up or Down button,the backlighting turns on.Then press the Up or Down button (again) to make temperature (or other) adjustments.After about ten seconds (of no usage), the backlighting will automatically turn off.- – – -Note: I only use this thermostat for heat (on/off).Not for fan control. Not for cooling.I have a 2022, single stage furnace (used for heat only).My 2022 furnace has a (contemporary) digital controller/display.

Excellent thermostat
Great thermostat with very normal design (a good thing).Installation is easy. All connections are standard. The screen is particularly attractive and easy to read due to the large numbers. The screen lights up a nice shade of indigo blue for a few seconds when touching any button. At rest, the screen shows information, but is not lit. This thermostat has a compartment for 2 AAA batteries but using the batteries is optional — the thermostat takes power from the AC unit, and the batteries are there for backup in case the power is off at the AC unit (e.g. during a power outage or AC unit maintenance). Appearance-wise, it’s good looking with a clean modern white design. One nice touch is that the thermostat is perfectly silent and doesn’t click when commanding to turn on/off the AC unit.If you like your thermostat to be normal and easy-to-use, this is the one.

If your house’s old digital thermostat that only has 2 wires from the wall (old capacitor thermostat) is no longer working, this product is the solution without needing to go manual thermostat which has no display. The battery slot is in the front, so you don’t have to take off the whole thing to change the batteries.
