Track power consumption, Set power schedules.
I originally ordered 4 of the plugs and after 6 months of testing, i ordered another 16 of them. These things are awesome! I use Alexa and I’ll say 1 out of 436 times, she’ll fail to shut it off but repeating the command fixes it. I have had ZERO issues with a single outlet. They’re really simple to install. Plug them in. Hold the button for about 10 seconds and then navigate over to your VeSync app and follow the directions. It will actually take two minutes from opening to completing the setup to start using.I Highly recommend giving these a try. No issues. App is super easy to use and friendly. Can use timer schedules and tell Alexa to turn it of or on. Again, i now own 20 of these through my house. From the Lamp in my kitchen turning on at 6 pm and off at 9pm to my dyson vacuum charger turning on only Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 5:30 am to 7:30 am to save the battery life from staying always docked and plugged in.Cons to this device? I’d have to be super picky and completely unhappy with life to list anything here. Maybe it’s too big, but then where would they put the stuff needed to do the amazing work this is doing. Oh it clicks to loud when it turns off and on. But that’s better for audible confirmation it did in fact do what i told it to do. Also better than having a sounding tone.If you’re looking at buying these, buy them and know you’re getting your moneys worth compared to the prices of making your home a smart home!Edit: After reading other reviews, I’ve decided to include a video showing just how easy it was for me to set these up. I’ll say it occasionally would take a timer maybe 60 to 90 seconds for it to actually connect to my Wi-Fi but Patience is a virtue with technology because use and “reliable” feedback will help these things grow.

you need this wifi outlet in your life
I love this wifi outlet! So much so, that I’ve gone back several times to buy more. It’s easy to set up just using your phone. It doesn’t require its own special hub, and works with Alexa/Google.I first looked into these so I could set my Christmas lights on timers. I used to use those manual timer ones where you press in the times you want it to turn on…but its not really fun when the lights don’t turn on when they’re supposed to and so you find yourself wriggling behind the Christmas tree or other odd corner to get to the plugs.I love that these can be set on timer, or that I can turn them on and off at the push of a button from my phone, or via Alexa!I don’t just use them for my Christmas lights–I use them for bedroom lights too, because who wants to jump out of bed to turn off the light switch and risk stubbing their toe on the edge of the bed in the dark?! Not this girl. I also use one in the bathroom to plug in my hair appliances (curling iron and hair straightener), because while I am usually good about unplugging those things right after use, it gives me greater peace of mind knowing I can switch off the outlet from my phone just in case and not have to worry about whether or not I forgot when I am gone for hours at a time!I love these outlets so much for their affordable price point and functionality–that they were one of my “favorite things” that I gifted to my friends during our annual favorite things party last year! 🙂

Little hard to setup but worth the efforts!
The setup was a bit of a pain. Loose WiFi router and loose connectivity but not the power not sure if it effects the timers I setup. Follow the suggestions on the app and here in reviews it will some headaches when setting these up. You have to be patient, you have to connect to 2.4 if you’re running dual bands. I set the first one up using adhoc mode. Works flawlessly the others were a hit miss. The best way is to connect 2.4 WiFi and set them up with the Vesync app. It seems like it stalls but then they just start working.Using one on my freezer just to see how much power it pulls. 60-100 Watts less than a dollar a week.Used one on the Christmas lights with timer, it was cool to see how much juice the lights sucked down for the beautiful light they produced!!! Pulled it off and running it on the TV 235 Watts while playing PS4 WTF!!!Using one on my veg grow room. Pulling 648 Watts costing 10 bucks a week on a manual timer.Using one on my Bloom room. Pulling 400 Watts using timer on the plug. Works great 12 hours of light no issues costing me 4 bucks a week.I have 4 more going to give them to my Mom to try so she can monitor her power usage. I don’t have an additional use for anymore at this time.
