    Incredible Product
They can be pretty sensitive when trying to set up with the app and require 2.4 WiFi but have not had issues with them. I love the scheduling and being able to adjust these to different white hues and different colors. I bought 1 initially then another 2. I have one on each side of the bed for my wife and I to use but are also in sync. Great product. The only bummer is that Siri does not work with the Cync app and there’s no way to link them. None of this requires a paid subscription. Lot of reviews from people who clearly struggle with technology.

    Highly recommend
I put these all over the house. Amazing price and easy to set up and use. The app is super easy to set up. Works great. Amazing quality lights. Very low delay. Look amazing and connectivity is great.

Full Color or color temperature settings. Can be dimmed to 1%
Easy to set up with the Cync app. Requires a Wi-Fi connection. Works well with Google Home app. Reconnects automatically after a power outage is restored.

A nice quality of life upgrade to my home.
I’ve been buying these lightbulbs for various locations when the need comes up. I continue to buy this specific model because I can manage all my GE smart devices from the app. Out of the maybe 12-15 light bulbs I have, one has died. It happened to be one of the first ones I purchased about 4.5 years ago. When it died, I called GE and they replaced it. We love the color changing and ability to easily go back and forth between a color-wheel of sorts, and a warmth/coolness slider in case you don’t want vibrant green lights all the time. I give the bulbs four stars because the app itself could use improvement and can be buggy. Also, sometimes the bulbs will show offline even though they’re not, and if you try to turn it on, off, and back on again, it’ll work. Often there’s a 2-5 second delay from the toggle to the bulb, which is to be expected with bluetooth delay. If you have to factory reset these bulbs, that can also be challenging since you have to correctly turn them off and on in correct timing to do so. Other than those few minor gripes, they do what I need and are a nice quality of life upgrade to my home, and a fun little spice to my game room.

One of the best smart bulbs in this price range
One of the best multicolor smart bulbs I have used in this price range. I mostly use the whites and the brightness is sufficient. The color mode is significantly less bright than the whites. The mobile app, at least on Android is well made and the setup is super easy. I have multiple of them and I never noticed that one of the bulbs was unable to connect to my WiFi as the other bulbs provide a mesh network for bulbs that are not able to connect to the network for some reason. It just works without the need to fiddle with it. I wish they came with support for 5GHz WiFi. Having to split the network every time for setup is a bit annoying but once it’s done, I just merged the bands back and the bulbs have always worked. I have noticed that the Google Assistant sometimes forgets to operate 1 out of the many bulbs I have, but a quick nudge from the GE app restores the sync.

Easy to set up, convenient to use
I bought two of these just to try them out and I’ve been so happy with them, I just bought two more. Some other smart lights I have tried out (Philips Hue) use Bluetooth only (unless you buy a proprietary smart hub for $80), but these Cync bulbs use wi-fi and work with Google Home without having to buy a hub. These are very easy to set up! The Cync app is great, has all sorts of fun color effects, and also has the ability to create “routines.” However, since I am mostly just doing on/off or bright/dim at specific times of day, I found it easier to use Google Home app to automate these. That app will also let you adjust the color, but it won’t do the special effects. And since it connects over wi-fi instead of Bluetooth, you can control the lights from anywhere over the internet. I can even control the lights with my smart watch. With Bluetooth, you have to be a short distance away from the light, and it can be a pain to connect.

Bulbs work good with Alexa, but app is terrible
My first time installing these was pretty easy, I just downloaded the app and followed the instructions and was able to connect them to Wi-Fi alright. They responded well to the app and I could do lots of stuff like change the brightness and color, save specific colors, change individual bulb settings, etc. the reason I bought the bulbs though was so I could set a schedule that would turn them on at a certain time with a certain color. It wasn’t too difficult to setup a schedule, and there were videos online to help, but whenever I set the schedule it didn’t go off. I started with ones just a few minutes in advance so that I could see them going off to make sure they worked, but they just weren’t coming on at the time I told it to. Eventually I set one and let it go for a bit, and it eventually came on like 10 minutes later. So I realized that they actually were working, the time just want synced well on the bulbs.I then tried to factory reset the bulbs to see if setting them up again would fix the time issue. This process wasn’t to bad but you have to watch the video to figure out how to reset them. When I tried to set them back up though, there was always one bulb that wouldn’t connect to Wi-Fi. I tried like 5 times resetting them and trying to set them back up, and each time one of the bulbs wouldn’t connect. I eventually let it alone for a day and tried again, and thankfully it worked. I figured out that if I let the bulb run for too long I think something with it being to hot interferes with the Wi-Fi setup. So if you are having problems with connecting the Wi-Fi, let it cool down a bit and then quickly set it up right after you turn them on.Still after resetting them several times, there was always some weird problem with the scheduling feature that wouldn’t work the way I wanted them too. So eventually I just connected them to Alexa and setup a schedule through the Alexa app. This has worked fantastically and without any problems. You might have to set multiple schedules in order to accomplish something though because there are less features you can do through the Alexa app. For example if you want the light to come on at a low brightness and ramp up with a different color, then you have to use two schedules for changing the color and doing the brightness ramp. Also note that if the bulb has physically been turned off with the switch, it must be turn back on for a few minutes before Alexa can find it and control it.Overall these bulbs have done what I need them too through the Alexa app, but I have not found the Cync app to be useful beside just changing the brightness and color manually. If these bulbs are on sale they may be worth it because they are cheap, but I would look elsewhere first for a bulb with a better app integration.

I bought these to set up in my room to wake me up in the morning with light. It worked perfectly. The only thing is, you have to keep your lights on from the switch and only turn them on and off from your phone. But it’s easy to get used to.
