Make excellent tasting coffee every time!
Makes a great tasting cup of coffee every time! Extremely pleased with this purchase. This GE Profile grind and brew coffee maker is excellent and very happy we purchased. reading previous reviews helped me decide to purchase and very pleased with this coffee maker!! While the price is rather steep, this coffee maker actually pays for itself with what we were spending on Neapresso single serve pods and also from wasting half pots of coffee brewed with our former coffee maker because the coffee from our old machine tasted bitter after sitting for even a short time. Like another review stated I too had the cuisinart grind and brew machine in the past and this makes superior tasting coffee. The one “negative” is that it is just slightly too tall to fit under our kitchen cabinets. it is 16.5 inches tall and we have 16.25 inches of clearance between our counter and kitchen cabinets. I read this in another review as well which was helpful. I would suggest making this slightly shorter but over all highly recommended this coffee maker to any serious coffee drinker!! we love our morning coffee and this new purchase has added a step of additional satisfaction to our morning coffee routine and drinking!

Stylish and makes a great brew
I love the style. I also love grinding my own beans for the best cup of coffee and this machine doesn’t disappoint. I recently had to toss my Cuisinart because it started leaking and had a hard time finding one with the built-in grinder so I could use beans or pre-ground coffee. So far, I’ve used the single cup setting at 8 oz. It ends up being more like 6 but perhaps that’s the way it’s designed so that you have room to add stuff. This morning, I used the carafe setting and set it for 4 cups, figuring I’d have some leftover for lunchtime. Oddly enough, my 4 cups was only about l.5. Can’t explain that one but since I’m the only coffee drinker at my house I’ll just keeping adjusting til I get it right.It is a little messy to use and when you open up the basket area to dump your grounds be sure to have a paper towel to catch the drips. Overall, a very good cup of coffee so I’ll just adjust the serving size for my needs.

Disappointing and requires constant attention
The GE Profile smart, grind, and brew coffee maker is a solid, well-built device with good potential, but it ultimately misses the mark on convenience. It requires far too much attention to detail for an automatic machine. I set it up once, only to find that it needs to be reset and adjusted almost every time, which is frustrating and time-consuming. For example, I make 8 cups of high-quality coffee requiring three scoops of coffee to be ground, and the machine says not enough coffee. Other times the machine grinds the coffee beans but doesn’t brew the coffee. All this requires more attention it’s not automatic. Mornings are busy, and the whole reason I bought an automatic coffee maker make excellent coffee without the fuss—not to reconfigure settings the night before or wake up to no coffee brewed. If you enjoy fine-tuning parameters daily, it may work for you, but for true “set it and forget it” automation, this machine falls short.

Worth The Money!+
I consider myself a coffee fanatic, I bought this machine for my coffee bar to replace my old cheap one. This not only has better technology than my old coffee machine, but it brews better coffee. The settings are pretty straight forward and the Gold setting is FANTASTIC. Brews smooth and good coffee that compares to pour over from a top teir coffee shop. I do notice that when I take out the old beans, there is a bit of grounds on the top of the filter, but it’s fairly easy to wipe down and worth the good coffee. And the stainless steel pot means I won’t break my coffee pot while I’m stumbling around for my coffee in the morning! 10/10.
