Very Impressed by the Quality
These are high quality permanent multi-color, bright and programable decorative lights. They were easy to install considering I was up and down a ladder for nearly 5 hours, but following the instructions made installation a cinch. The 3M adhesive pads made placing the individual lights a snap, but be careful if the temperature gets too cool or the humidity too high. The last dozen or so lights had trouble sticking as it got dark and cooler. Applying each light with the adhesive pads required keeping pressure on it for about 30 seconds. Then the longer they’re attached, the stronger the adhesive bond becomes. Our lights have been up for 5 days now. Other great features in this kit were that several splice kits and extension wiresbwere included. I wish I would have known that before purchasing though. If you’re not good at stripping wires for splicing, a wire stripper tool would be helpful. Look for one for this type and size of wire. Once installed controlling and operation is really cool using the smartphone app. We’ve been having fun and keeping our neighbors guessing by changing the light colors and patterns daily. These Govee lights are not cheap, but the quality makes them worth the price, and the Pro series lights allow you to cut, splice, and extend and arrange them better. Definitely plan and measure your installation before ordering.

Bright and pretty makes your house pop
These are fantastic super bright great color easy to install, they come with lots of extra parts. For the best appearance I used the 2in part of a 2;x4 for spacing off the wall. The app to control the lights is full exciting different options. Truly make it your own. Great quality!

Worked perfectly
Very easy to install. Great lighting quality, easy to control, and looks great. I have I have hardie plank, which you cannot really screw or nail into. The tape sticks real well. The timer works great so you don’t have to remember to turn them off. I wanted lighting around my house that can also take the place of Christmas lights, which it works perfectly.

They’re rocking our house
This light set is absolutely outstanding . If you want to or are as OCD as I am & go out of your way to hide (fish)the extension wires & splices , your install will be well worth it . A bigger plus , installing wire molding between the lights to hide the wires not only looks professional but also helps to keep the HOA police off your A$$ .Part of the fun of controlling these lights is experimenting with the app & setting up your own programs . The App itself is easy to use & there are a few YouTube videos online to aid you setting up programs .

Great Lights, but one unfortunate Issue
These lights are simply amazing. While some people say it takes 5 hours to install, I found that it was more like 10 after securing each light with a clip and keeping everything evenly spaced. Only issue so far and is the lights wont work after splicing a 3ft extension with two strands remaning. Powered up each strand separately, but unfortunately I will have to await Govee Support. Few pics of the lights after stringing half the house. Good build quality, secure packing, bright and colorful, mounting was easy after cutting a wooden guide block, and the app works well. Will update my review after receive further Govee support regarding the splice that is

Great lights!
They’ve been great. I’ve had them up for over a year now. The app isn’t too bad, but admittedly isn’t intuitive, but there is a very supportive community on FB. Customer service from Govee is excellent!! After 6-12 months, I had a section that weren’t working. They had me do some troubleshooting, and then sent me a full new set!They look great! I get tons of compliments.

I’m tired of buying Christmas lights; bulbs burn out, strand goes bad, putting up, taking down etc. Bought these and done! These lights are awesome, bright, programable and year round use. I’m very please with my purchase. Many compliments from my neighbors and believe a couple will follow up with them also. My son and son in law purchased for their homes.

Poor Adhesive Quality, Great Lights
The lights are amazing. Good quality, brightness, etc. They do everything you want lights to do.The backing adhesive used to affix the lights to the soffit is horrible. We found out that Govee recently updated their installation instructions to recommend installation during warm weather and with a hair dryer as needed after other customers’ complaints. Of course this was not updated in our installation instructions.It was 65-degrees at the time of installation and the adhesive would not hold whatsoever. We tried using an air dryer, which did help some, but the adhesive still did not hold well and lights kept falling under their own weight. We used cable clips from the hardware store as well (the clips they sent are terrible – traditional cable clips are far easier).Govee needs to either A. Change the adhesive and conduct thorough testing on different soffit materials or B. Manufacture the lights with a tab on two opposing faces with screw holes. Use of fasteners rather than adhesive would be a sure way to address the issues I have with this product.Advertising this product as if installation is easy is ridiculous. We spent probably 6 hours over 2 days to install 60 feet of lights. It took me about an hour with shingle clips and traditional lights last year. And I’m praying that they hold up tonight – I don’t even know that they will.Do not get this product if you value your time, money, and sanity. I would love to love this product, but the poor adhesive quality is a massive shortcoming that I can’t overlook.Edit: Govee offered a full refund for my troubles. My review was not intended to get this from Govee, nor did I expect it, but I am very satisfied with the customer service despite my poor experience with the product.I do still recommend caution for other potential customers. I recommend trying to adhere a strip of M3 tape to your soffit prior to ordering to verify if the adhesion will be an issue for you.

Great product, so many lighting options in the App. Get the Pro lights, way cleaner install as you can trim it along the string, otherwise you have to tuck lights under soffits. Lot’s of color options and overall solid and durable. Make sure to install in a place where the lights can reflect off of something. Neighbours have been asking about it and want to get the Govee lights too. Our street will be lit up!

Lights came well packaged. I laid them all out in the house and tested and measured everything before mounting them. Quality seems good but I bought the extra warranty anyway. The kit had splicing ends and 3 good extensions that came in handy. Mounted them up at 10cm from the house (to the light body). This seems to be a good distance to get the effect on the wall.The kit could use more of the flat wire mounts. We ran short and bought some cable mounts from Home Depot.I really like the look and the effects. The app could use some fine tuning and the on/off timer is out to lunch.Hey Govee, I saw on Etsy some guys 3D printing mounting brackets for the “Pro” lights. You guys should be selling your own version. I would buy them.I really am impressed with the end result and I might buy some more….Update: 2 months of use. Some light colors are now dim. Working with Govee to fix. Communication is very difficult.Update: Feb 2025 – Govee sent me a new controller, no charge. The problem is fixed. Working good.I have asked them if I may purchase a spare controller……
