Great, for a year.
I love this little coffee pot but… count on a years worth before having to buy another. Let’s be completely honest, for a programmable coffee pot, that brews just enough, this little pot is amazing. Geez I sound like an infomercial…Coupled with a Mr. Coffee removable ground holder, there’s nothing more you can ask for. Its one of the smallest coffee machines on the market, taking up very little counter space. In comparison, its about the size of a toaster only vertical. Lightweight and easy to pack up in a camper, hotel room, tent with alternative power, etc. Both the water intake and grounds go in from the front, both very accessible. No little triangle hole to hit at the back of the maker itself. No moving it around to find a button or flip a lid up, or pulling it out to see what youre doing.I brew 3 cups every morning. Fresh, aromatic,…the best part of waking up…right, moving on…I have coffee waiting for me every morning, each pot just as good as the next. But with all good things comes an end. The programming usually goes about the 7th month mark…by the 8th month, the thing perculates like its taking it last dying breath. Put 3 cups in, get 2 cups back. Ive tried cleaning, running vinegar thru it, nothing helps what Im assuming is evaporation…maybe?. Granted Im not as crafty as my father, who would of had the entire thing in pieces on display on the kitchen table, meticulously cleaning each part before reassembly. But I digress, when it gets to that point, plan to spend another $30, dont forget the removable basket and no, dont bother hoarding the glass carafe just in case it breaks…well, ok, maybe if your susceptible to dropping things. If I had 1 thing to gripe about, its the pour lip of the carafe. Pour too fast and it spills all over the place, which seems to be an issue I personally have with many different style pots. So yeah, for the money, this machine is definitely worth it.

Needs A Bigger Water Receptacle, Water Viewport Should be in Front
DELICIOUS HOT ☕☕☕☕☕This little coffee maker is almost perfect. It makes good, hot coffee fast. I don’t use the timer so I can’t comment on that. The pitcher works fine. I think Hamilton Beach only has a couple of things to consider further with this one, which aren’t really that big a deal for me so far. To address these things in a model update would make it even nicer. It needs a bigger water receptacle; the inside of the water chamber at the top where the water is poured is made in such a way that the water has to be added slowly enough so none will spill out over the sides while you’re pouring it in – a minor inconvenience for me in a small coffee maker (I only make 1 or 2 cups at a time). If you have unsteady hands it could be a bigger problem for you, especially if you make a full pot every time. Hamilton Beach would have to make the opening big enough so water for 5 cups could easily be poured in with little overflow risk. The graduated water viewport would be better and easier to see if it was in front and not on the side, and made of clear plastic. It’s awkward to pour the water and then have to crane your neck or turn the coffee maker to make sure you’ve got the right amount of water inside. The coffee maker is designed small enough to fit conveniently under kitchen cabinets and to have the water view in front makes more sense. Also with the port in front, it’s a quick reminder if you like to set up your coffee maker the night before, that you already have water in. If the coffee maker was a little wider I think they’d have enough room to place a nice clear viewer in the front of a newer model – I personally have eyesight issues.Overall I really like this coffee maker. It performs very well and makes coffee very fast. I have a reusable filter basket for it I purchased separately on Amazon which fits perfectly, is durable and works fine, and is not expensive (search for 4 Cup Reusable Filter Basket by BRENSTEN, on Amazon; you can buy just one if you want).I’d tell anyone it’s a good coffee maker but would explain that it still isn’t perfect, but close.

I use it several times each day
Good little coffee machine. The only problem is finding stores that sell the small filters. THIS machine does not include a reusable filter.

Perfect little coffee companion 💕
Very well designed, works perfectly, and so cute! I’ve used this for 3 or 4 days and so far I’m thrilled with it compared to my old Mr. Coffee that was also a 5-cup size (it was probably 8-10 years old and suddenly broke last week). It has a smaller footprint and way better design – I love the way you pour the water in front and that the pot doesn’t dribble or spill like my old one did. My 4 cup paper filters from the grocery store fit perfectly. I’m really happy (so far) that I picked this one!

Great coffee maker for many reasons
This little Hamilton Beach 5 cup drip coffee maker is great for one person or two! Does not take up much room at all on kitchen counter, can set to start brewing at your preferred time, easy to clean.

I have no idea how small the manufacturer’s coffee cups are, but I like two good mugs of coffee in the morning, and that’s exactly what this unit delivers. It’s easy to set up, easy to clean, and (critical for the pre-caffeine brain) easy to operate. It takes up very little real estate and is nice looking. I did buy the metal filter baskets and they’ve worked great.

I was looking for a coffee maker to fit in a small space and it works great. It fits easily in the space and has some neat features, including programming your coffee or just starting it anytime. Also, it has an automatic 2 hour shut off so if you forget to turn it off, no problem. The coffee maker is easy to clean and I would recommend it.
