The float in the base controls the auto shut-off function to stop the machine. There may be a slight delay in the shut-off time, but there is no safety concern. Additionally, a red light will indicate when the machine turns off due to a low water level.

Perfect light weight, easy to use, well priced humidifier
Works like a dream. A simple easy to use fairly priced humidifier. No leakage. Portable and easy ro clean. It is whisper quiet without the distraction from lite knobs etc… Perfect for a bedroom. I wake up without that awful dry mouth. It even seems to be helping with my severe dry eye. I am delighted with my purchase and would recommend it without hesitation.

Better than a whole home humidifier and much cheaper!
A dozen years ago my wife and I put in a home humidifier. It never lived up to our expectations. The solenoid was breaking every two years. Then you had to buy filters and those were a pain to replace. Meanwhile it couldn’t get the humidity in the house much higher than the low 20s. We finally gave up.So on a lark I picked one of these up last year. The humidity in the house with the heater and no humidifier was in the teens. I put this on the kitchen counter to see how well it worked. We got low mid 20s for humidity. Encouraged I bought a second one and put it downstairs. So with two of these running we’re sitting at 30-35% in the house which is just under 3,000 sqft. Much more comfortable!These are so quite. Quiet enough that you won’t have trouble sleeping with it in the room. It’s automatic shutoff when it runs out of water means you can fill it up and let it run during the night. A full tank should last you through the night. We generally fill these up in the morning and they last until evening.This works like a dream and for the price it sure beats a whole home humidifier. I recommend these highly.

Good humidifier, but inconsistent mist output between units
I purchased two of these LEVOIT Top Fill Cool Mist Humidifiers at the same time. One works perfectly and produces a nice, light mist on the lowest setting that increases gradually as you turn the dial up.The second unit, however, seems inconsistent — even on the lowest setting it releases a much heavier mist than expected, and on the highest setting it’s significantly stronger than the other identical unit.Overall, I like the design, quiet operation, and top-fill feature, but there may be some quality control variation. Hopefully customer service can resolve it.

Simple, effective humidifier
Easy to use, very quiet, lasts 1-2 days. Couldn’t say better things about this humidifier. Small but mighty, it easily fit on my shelf, was easy to fill up. The humidity dial works perfect, and even on high it can easily last 12 hours. Very happy with my purchase, keeps my room humid and comfortable for this dry Decemberm no night light but I didn’t want one anyways. Easy to fill and refill. When dumping out old water, easy to dump water in trash and clean filters on the plastic part of the container.

Great Simple Humidifier
Smallish size, but not so small that you have to constantly refill. Very simple design, one knob to select level of mist. You can turn to choose which direction the mist sprays. Top fill, easy to reach internal parts for cleaning. VERY quiet. Automatic OFF when empty is a nice safety feature. I currently own two – one for plants and the other for comfortable air in the bedroom overnight.

Quiet and effective, solid buy
In the winter my bedroom gets extremely dry, so I need a humidifier. I had one that worked well but made loud gurgling sounds which were annoying at night. So I looked at reviews and decided on this model. It is easy to fill without removing the tank, is very quiet and has no annoying power light. It brings the humidity up to a comfortable level and has a large tank that only needs filling once a day. I also have Levoit air filters and am really happy about the quality of Levoit products.

Great product for the months you can’t open windows or in areas it’s super dry
We have a levoit air purifier so we figured we’d get the humidifier as well. I hate having to keep windows closed and the forced air on but the season leaves us with no choice. This device stops my skin from getting so dry I look reptilian and it stops my nighttime coughing.Pros: VERY easy to clean compared to other humidifiers i’ve had in the past.Easy to operate and quiet – you wouldn’t even know it is operating.Large reservoir means you can run it on auto all night and it cuts in and out as neededCons: I haven’t been able to get the automatic timer function working through the app. It either just turns on and stays on until it runs out of water or doesn’t turn on at all. This is one of the reasons i bought this model- so i could set it and forget it.Aside from that I recommend it, being able to use the app to control it is great when you and your partner keep very different sleeping hours and the reminder to clean it is great too.

Nice humidifier.
This personal humidifier works well. No smell. Very quiet. The directions for cleaning could be more clear, but it’s pretty easy to clean.One thing to be aware of..you will have to change the water filters & change them often. I have city water but my filter turned brown in 5 days. So I tried distilled water & it still turned brown in 8 days, which is mysterious to me. That seems very quick to need to change a water filter, especially with distilled water! Just be prepared to buy the filters to go with the humidifier.Also, the water reservoir is not as securely sitting on the base as I would like. You will need to keep it away from children. Easy to dislodge from the base.The ability to fill from the top is a plus, though. All in all it’s a decent humidifier and the price is quite good.
