Excellent keyboard.
Just got this today. At first blush I love it. Very nice key action with good key travel and a good feel. Layout is excellent, much better than the keyboard it is replacing. (The old one went haywire.) Backlighting was very annoying, but easy to turn off. I am sick of wireless keyboards that keep losing connection intermittently. This keyboard is wired, so that’s not an issue. Be aware that it has a USB A cable, so if your computer has any other kind of USB connectors you’ll need an adapter. Worked right out of the box. (As soon as I figured out how to turn off the backlighting: F5 key.)Edited to add: As the room got dark, and it started to get hard to read the keys, I turned on the backlighting and it’s great. In a bright room, it’s best with the backlighting off. In a dark room, it’s best with it on. Reconfirming five stars.

One of the Best Keyboards for Mac
Most manufacturers, including Apple, now only offer Bluetooth keyboards, which, in my opinion, is a real issue. Latency issues when connecting and the occasional inability to recognize the keyboard during an emergency restart can sometimes make the user experience frustrating.Another problem with Bluetooth keyboards is their battery life. For heavy users such as journalists and academics, these keyboards often have a relatively short lifespan—around three to four years at best.This Macally keyboard is designed for those who write long texts and will appreciate its comfortable typing experience. It also features a sufficiently long cable to be used with a Mac Pro. My only minor complaint is that the Caps Lock indicator is located to the right of the keyboard rather than on the key itself—I personally prefer a small LED directly on the key to indicate when it’s activated.Another great feature of this keyboard is the ability to adjust, disable, or fine-tune the brightness of the backlit keys. Many other manufacturers make their backlighting too bright without offering a way to modify it.Overall, having tested numerous keyboards, including Apple’s, this one is by far among the best I’ve ever used. I also appreciate its reasonable price given its quality, and the construction feels solid and durable.

I am so happy that I purchased the Macally Backlit Mac Keyboard. The keyboard is better than I imagined. Because of the easy touch of the keys on this keyboard it allows me to type even faster. Macally Backlit Wired Keyboard for Mac
Nice keyboard for my Mac mini M2. I like the feel of the keys and has all the appropriate Apple (special) keys.I especially like the backlighted keys feature as my office is sort of dim. I also like the seperate number keys to the right side. I only wish it had adjustable legs to get a little tilt, and it does seem smaller than my other PC keyboard. Still a very nice and reasonably priced keyboard with backlighted keys.

Surprisingly great keyboard for my iMac desk setup.
Searched high and low for a keyboard that I could use with my iMac that wasn’t $100-200 and this is the one. Pros: It’s relatively inexpensive. It’s backlit so it makes using this keyboard easy in low light situations. It’s got a similar look and feel to the older original MacBook keyboards which I always liked. Lighting evenness isn’t perfect below the keys but the letters on the keys light up very clearly. I find it comfortable to type on. For me, the bigger point is that this is a wired keyboard so, no constant charging, no dropped Bluetooth connections, no usb receivers or dongles to interfere with startup and security. I can live with a single black USB cable going across a few inches of my desk when the trade off is that it is ALWAYS on and ready to go plus it’s got every Mac shortcut a Mac keyboard has plus a few extras. So far it’s been 110% reliable. Believe it or not, this has replaced my Logitech MX Master keyboard which gave me nothing but trouble in almost every way. A great full sized illuminated keyboard for fifty bucks.

Nice little keyboard with Mac funtions
I prefer a lighted keyboard, with keys that integrate with my Apple computers. My old Logitech keyboard was working fine, but some of the keys were wearing thin on top, blurring the characters. I prefer wired peripherals, because wireless gadgets usually involve batteries, and this Macally checks that box. It has the Mac functions, and the keys light up. It’s working fine, but we won’t know about reliability for a few more years. The keys have a good feel with a modest thunk to confirm that you’ve pressed it adequately. Some keys, notably the numbers, momentarily dim when pressed. But there’s an inconsistent brightness between the various keys, and some bright spots where the light is more intense around certain keys, especially the return and shift, that I find more annoying than helpful. I’m finding the Macally a bit small, at 4 1/2 x 16 3/4 inches. I’m wishing I had searched a bit farther and found a board more like my clunky old 7 1/2 x 18 in. Logitech, with Mac features. If you would like a lighted keyboard that’s thin, compact and crammed with features, you might like the Macally. The price is very acceptable, and the quality appears to be good.

Great Keyboard!
So far, so good!! This keypad is just what I needed for my mew iMac desktop. It is a good size and I love that the numbers are on the side (as well as at the top) of the keyboard. I am new to Mac products but this keyboard is helping me learn better about the shortcuts and things I need to know.

Looked at a 100 different options to use with a new Mac setup. If you’re using it with a new Mac mini or something along those lines don’t forget to buy Type C to USB a adaptors to plug directly into mini. Backlight is unbelievably beautiful, better than my first MacBook Pro backlit keyboard. Key stroke is like a refined MacBook 2013 – It’s seriously good. 10/10. Cable is hellishly long.

Somebody said Macally makes the best keyboards. Then I decided to try them. and YES…..This is a rock solid keyboard. Use it on Windows 11, as I do IT support many hours a day. The keys are phenominal, soft, solid and remarkable good quality. Keys can easily be remapped. The white LED backlight is useful, yet not disturbing.
