Ease of use and programming
This is just what I’ve always wanted: A lock that doesn’t have a key access, just a push-button code to gain access through a door. This rugged and well-built lock is easy to use and program, though the slim size might not work with a deabolt hole previously drilled out, or a door handle hole previously drilled out. The mechanism is only 1 7/8 inches wide, and most deadbolt and regular door latch knobs are 2 1/8 inches wide, and no cover plate was included. The best part though, is no batteries need, purely mechanical in use.

POORLY DESIGNED, DO NOT PURCHASE!!!
I have installed keypad locks in the past that use batteries in 20 minutes or less.I thought because this didn’t use batteries, it would simpler.I was wrong.Unclear and poor instructions. After researching it tells you how to change the handle so that it can swing the other way but then you realize it is not moving the latch. After further research it also tells you that even though you can change the handle to swing the other direction, it was designed to swing only one direction to work with the latch (toward the striker plate).Poorly designed.DO NOT PURCHASEIf you decide to purchase anyway,1. Be aware that if you are replacing an existing regular lock, an additional hole will have to be made to accomodate this lock.2. Be aware that the “code” is any combination of the numbers selected, not only the sequence you have selected.

Solid reliable mechanical locking for keyless entry
This thing is built like a tank! The all-metal construction feels solid, heavy, and well-finished. It looks just as good as it works, which is a nice bonus. In a world full of smart locks, it’s easy to overlook mechanical keyless locks—but honestly, they’re incredibly reliable, especially in extreme weather or tough environments. No batteries, no apps—just solid, dependable security.Setting the combination was super straightforward. Just remove two screws to access the backplate, follow the clear instructions provided by the manufacturer, and you’re good to go. There’s even a small screw in the handle joint backplate that lets you switch the handle swing orientation if needed or remove it completely to allow the handle to swing in either direction—nice touch.I installed this on my home office door to keep guests out of a space where I keep sensitive documents and personal items. With a bit of drilling using the included template, everything lined up perfectly and it’s been working flawlessly since.Highly recommend if you’re looking for a secure, no-fuss lock that feels like it’ll last forever.

Feels solid…
This lock is pretty much what I have wanted, but while installing I did run into some issues. I have installed many types of door knobs and locks in the past. The trouble I experienced while attempting to install this one was that my door already had a larger round hole in it from the previous normal door knob. This lock housing is narrow and does not cover the hole so I needed to prepare another cover to close the existing hole in my wooden door. The other issue was the interior knob only operates in one direction and my door is one that opens outwards from the left side of the door and the way the knob of this door lock is, it’s not round and it’s a lever so using it upright would require me to turn the lever towards the door frame to open and that would make it have clearance issues for the hand that is turning it. I decided it needed to be installed upside down for the lever to turn in the direction away from the frame and avoid the hand hitting the door frame. The major issue I experienced was lining up the lock on both sides of the door. They provide a template, but the template will only work on a specific width door so adjusting it became the issue. Again the challenge was because my door already had existing holes from the previous knob. After all of that, my door with the cover that I had to seal the hole ended up requiring use of the extenders that come with the lock. In the end, it did not work out well as the extender pieces seems to have stripped while installing. I could not get the lock installed and ended up having to cut off the extenders with a saw since it was stuck partially mounted on the door. Surprisingly, this was so easy that it took about 10 seconds with a thin metal saw blade. This then made me realize that it would be so easy for anyone with a hacksaw to slide it between the lock housing and the door to just saw away and totally remove the lock. Last thing to note is the housing is mostly aluminum. I had this sitting in the sun and it gets extremely hot to the point that you cannot hold it. If the lock is being installed in an area with direct sunlight, it will be extremely hot when you have to push in the code & turn the knob to open it. Other than my failed attempt, the lock itself worked when tested and felt good.

Simple to install and program, very strong keyless lock
I got this for my detached garage. I pull my car into the garage with the remote then exit through a regular door to go to the house. I didn’t want to mess with keys so this was exactly what I was looking for. It was easy to install and doesn’t require any batteries. The keypad is easy to program and it automatically locks within a few seconds of the door closing so you don’t have to worry about whether you are locked up. The chrome color looks good with my hardware and door color. I’m glad it is rated for below freezing temperatures and extreme heat as this outside door is always exposed to the elements. It gets direct rain, snow and wind and in summer there is no shade. I am very pleased with this keyless lock.

Works well on a locker.
I ordered this to replace the old style “lift and pull” latch on my gear locker. This was easy to install with small modifications to the locker door, and works well. It feels very heavy duty, and would probably work just as well outdoors in the elements as it does inside my office.
