Turned me into a morning person
I have a long history of not waking up in the morning, and need multiple alarms to MAYBE wake up. If you are debating this clock, get it.Long Review:Me and sleep have a complicated relationship. I am a chronic insomniac, and a night owl. This has been the case since I was in elementary school, which unfortunately only got worse with time. I have set multiple alarms for myself since I was 10, and have been known to fall asleep in the shower or at the bus stop, both while standing up. I just accepted the fact that I was a night person, and needed a job with night shifts. My most recent attempt to try and wake up on time, prior to this clock, was two alarms on my smart watch (the only reason I bought the darn thing), three alarms on my phone with different tones, and an alarm on my tablet across the room. This still didn’t work 100%.I also need pure darkness to sleep. No light whatsoever, not even the moon; I use blackout curtains and put electrical tape on any electronics. I decided to give this alarm a shot, purely because of the sunrise light feature. A hail mary, if you will.The instructions that came with the alarm clock are easy enough to understand, and I took some time fiddling with the different settings and the ambient light feature. That, and the white noise options, are pretty neat but were not factors in my purchase. Same with the wireless charging (which works with my Zfold 4 and Jabra earbuds), the speaker, and the USB port. What I needed was the sunrise alarm, and the noise.And oh my lord the NOISE. You have plenty of options for the sound of the alarm, and I chose the jangly guitar and put it up pretty loud. It’s enough to startle the living daylights out of me, first thing. I may have conditioned myself accidentally to pay attention to the light slowly getting brighter and going from red to orange to white, simply because of the noise of the alarm. Eventually, my eyes would snap open every time the color changed gradually, as it’s closer to a sudden shift from red to red-orange rather than a true gradient, especially if you set the timer to 45 minutes like I did.Now, after having this clock for about 3 months, I have been waking up with absolutely no issue. I am awake before the alarm goes off. I am awake before my alarm is meant to go off on days that I have off, and the clock isn’t even set. I haven’t hit snooze on this thing in over 2 months, because the snooze function is even worse than the alarm going off itself; it will turn the light entirely off, and when it’s time to go off again the light will suddenly become the sun in your room in a matter of 2 seconds, going from night to day WHILE that noise is playing. I don’t have it set to max volume, either, and you can hear it go off across my house. Unfortunately, the snooze button is SO EASY to hit, because it’s on top of the clock, and is one of those touch sensitive ones without a button. The button to turn the alarm OFF is on the bottom, and I have to count out 3 from the left to turn it off. It’s a process to make sure you turn this thing off, it isn’t easy, and that’s what I love about it. I wish I had discovered this clock 20 years ago. Definitely worth the money spent.

Cool light show. Felt like it lacks versatility
Honestly. Not as impressed as I thought I would be. Sure it works with Alexa. Which is cool but I had a much cheaper version of this type of clock that just linked to my phone. I could use it like a speaker. I was able to play music at night off of it. Maybe I don’t know how it works yet and I’m just not seeing it. But I think if it has a speaker you should be able to play music off of it via Bluetooth through your phone if you wanted to but you can’t. You can only play what’s on the app or FM. The sounds on the app are limited and honestly only found one sound I liked. The rest are just noises. Like my fan makes noises. I want a melody. But I do like the lights. It’s a great night light for my son. Just wish it had more versatility through the app and with Bluetooth. Also it’s my own fault but is says works with Alexa. Not that it is an Alexa. So you still need an Alexa to link to it to give it voice commands. Not that big of a deal as most people probably already have one. Just a note for anyone wondering what the features are. For as expensive as it is. I just feel like it’s lacking a lot.

Difficult to set alarm
I hate this alarm. The first one I ordered didn’t work at all. The next one worked, but figuring out how to set it is really a chore. The first night, it blared loud at full blast and a bright white light at 5:30 am. Not the gentle wake up I was planning for. The second morning had the wrong sound but okay lighting. I’ll be returning this.

Bad Tech, Stay Away
The thing turned on at least 11 times after I set it up, each time I turned off the light. At bedtime, it turned on twice while I was trying to fall asleep, minutes apart from each instance. Bad tech…
