Smart outdoor string lights that make the patio feel like a party on command
I hung this 24 foot Monster set over our deck to add color for weekend cookouts, and I ended up keeping them on most evenings. The bulbs are bright, the RGB+IC effects can flow along the strand, and the warm white looks pleasantly neutral when I just want a calm glow. Voice control is handy when my hands are full of grilling tongs, and the app opens up deeper customization. I value the efforts of other honest reviewers and wish nothing more than to pay their efforts forward in hopes of faithfully guiding others to informed decisions.The Good✅ Bright, vibrant bulbs with RGB+IC effects, plus adjustable warm and cool whites for normal evenings or party mode.✅ Easy control, I used Alexa and the app to set colors, scenes, schedules, and to group with other lights.✅ Weather resistant build, the cable and sockets feel stout and have handled rain and dust without drama.✅ Sound reactive mode, fun for playlists when the neighbors are already out on their decks.✅ Expandable coverage, one adapter can run up to 24 bulbs total, helpful for longer railings or a pergola run.The So-So➖ App required to unlock the good stuff, the inline controller is limited, so plan on pairing.➖ Bulb spacing is about 2 feet, fine for a perimeter wash, a little sparse if you want restaurant dense twinkle.➖ Lots of flashy effects, I saved a couple favorites and ignored the carnival presets.➖ Color picking can be finicky in the app, it takes a moment to get a consistent hue you like.The Not-Good❌ Individual bulb control did not behave the way I expected, per bulb tweaks were limited compared to the marketing pitch.❌ Matching one exact color across all bulbs is hit or miss, I noticed minor variations that stood out on single color scenes.The DetailsSetup took me about ten minutes, including mounting cup hooks and pairing on 2.4 GHz Wi Fi. The strand has 12 bulbs over 24 feet, with thick insulation and molded sockets that feel ready for year round use. Warm white is pleasantly even, and the RGB scenes with IC “color flow” can chase along the line for holidays. I used schedules for dusk on and grouped them with other outdoor lights so everything comes up together. If you plan to cover a larger space, add the second strand right away so you can tune both at once.Control is where these shine, provided you live in the app. Voice commands are fine for on, off, and switching scenes. The app handles scene edits, timers, grouping, and music sync. The inline button is serviceable in a pinch, but it is not a replacement for app control. My only real gripe is granular control, I wanted exact per bulb color edits for a team colors night, and the tools felt more preset driven than surgical. For everyday ambiance, they do the job well.Final Rating: 4/5 (decimal score: 4.1/5, bright and durable with strong smart features, held back by limited per bulb control and occasional color uniformity quirks).

Didnt work for what I needed.
Can only connect and control 2 connected sets. Bought 3 sets not knowing this to connect together but then discovered in the app it only works with up to 2. Was too late to return by the time I discovered this to return.. Now sets 8n boxes waiting and hoping they update the app software to support 3. They aren’t very bright but work ok at night.

Misses the mark for me
I hoped that these string lights would work well for me because they are smaller and lighter weight than some. They do seem to meet that criteria, but the tradeoff is that the light string does not have quite the ambiance of most string lights and look a bit toy-like. The lighting options are also too gimmicky. You have to pair these with an app to control the functions, which are a lot of flashing and different colors/patterns. I honestly don’t know why anyone would use most of those. I think these would be better if they had fewer and more basic functions and could be controlled by a remote instead of an app. Also, if you have not used string lights before, note that these bulbs are spaced 2’ apart. That may be too far apart for your needs.
