This Smart LED Desk Lamp is a really versatile and functional addition to any workspace. The clamp is very easy to install, fits desks of various thicknesses securely, and feels very stable once in place. The gooseneck is 360° rotatable, allowing you to direct light exactly where you need it. The handwave sensor is convenient for quick on/off or adjusting brightness, and the lamp offers five color temperatures (2700–6500K) that make it easy to customize for reading, working, or relaxing. The brightness is strong without being harsh, and the eye-caring feature is a nice touch for long hours at a desk. A practical, well-designed lamp that combines convenience, stability, and flexibility.

I want to start by saying that once you get the light together it is fine. The on/off hand wave is easy, but the brightness control takes time to get down. This would be a good light for cooking or working on things where your hands get messy. I’ve clamped it to a work/build table that I use different greases at. The color temp changes are a nice added feature too.The assembly can be frustrating though. The lamp portion threads into the arm and the power cable spins and gets kinked up many times and when you go to unkink it the lamp will start to unthread. Here’s what go me through it.1) unbag the hex key and grub screw (2 spares, nice) before starting the assembly. Keep it within arms reach.2) attach arm to clamp and pull the clamp handle away from the cable hole and tape in place.3) Pull the cord through the base and let it dangle straight down.4) Start to thread the lamp onto the top of the arm and do not loosen your grip, if you do the head will unspin do to the cord also spinning inside. YOU will need to spin the cable from the bottom occasionally to keep turning the lamp head.5) Once you get the lamp head threaded, hold it place and use the grub screw and hex key to lock it into position.6) Finish spinning the power cable at the bottom to get rid of the tension.The product photos are misleading for the height. The tallest you can bend this to a horizontal angle is 22.5″ (57cm). That will not be over your head or large monitor. I am 5′ 9″ and at it tallest bend it is directly in line of my eyes. I position it at an angle and it still casts light to see across the bench.
