Buying more—Already in my cart!
I bought this for a lamp that has a smart plug and is connected to my Alexa. I love lights, particularly colored lights and I have some string lights that I leave up year-round and I was going to play this lamp off of the string lights. First, uses the Smart Home app I already had on my phone for the string lights, even though I thought they were a different manufacturer so when I screwed it in, it flashed and the app found it right away. Once you put in your Wi-Fi and password, you can then begin using the light. The first feature is you can control the color temperature of the light. I know people find this useful for daytime light versus nighttime light so during the day you might prefer a cooler blue light and at night time to read, you might prefer a warmer more orange light. I also found the bulb quite bright, and you have the option to dim it in the app. Whether I used Alexa to turn off the light or the app to turn off the light, it remembered my brightness setting. Next we come to color … there’s a lot of individual colors that you can choose from. It was very easy to pair a complementary color to go with my string lights. There were some pre-program scenes in the app; I did not find these nearly as robust as in other apps, it’s just a lightbulb, not really comparable to string light party lights, but you might find an option that might work, so that didn’t really disappoint me. But the reason why my cart is now filled with these bulbs is I changed my mind. I have three recessed bulbs in my kitchen on a traditional switch. They have 40 watt equivalent LEDs. For a small investment, I can get these lights on a timer, a dimmer, change their temperature, and change their color individually for the holidays. And when it’s time to clean my kitchen (ugh) I can crank up the brightness and actually see what I am doing. Even if I don’t use the color feature that much, just having my my kitchen lights on a timer I can operate from my phone that I can set up without help is worth it. Highly recommend!

Don’t Waste Your Money or Your Time
I really wanted to like this smart lightbulb, but it was nothing but frustration from the start. The setup was supposed to be easy with Alexa, but all it did was flicker and never connect properly. The instructions were microscopic—you practically need a magnifying glass to read them, and even with reading glasses they were a struggle. After wasting time troubleshooting, I finally gave up. I’m returning it. Definitely not “plug-and-play” like advertised.

Alexa compatible and super easy set up
I bought this smart bulb to connect to a smart plug lamp using my Alexa. So far, it has exceeded my expectations in every way! Setting it up was a breeze—it uses the Smart Home app I already had for a ton of other bulbs and switches that I use. Set up was a breeze and the app found the bulb instantly when I screwed it in. I just had to put in my Wi-Fi and password, and I was good to go.One of my favorite features is the ability to control the color temperature. You can switch between cooler blue light for daytime and warmer orange light for nighttime reading. The bulb is impressively bright, and the dimming function works seamlessly through the app.Even if you don’t use the color features often, the convenience of scheduling, dimming, and adjusting light temperature from your phone makes this smart bulb worth it. Highly recommend for anyone looking to upgrade their lighting!

Fine light bulb, annoying setup.
I wish all lightbulbs would work out the box with the same apps. Try to buy the same brand of smart bulbs through your whole house. It had a hard time staying on wifi signal.

Responsive and easy to setup
It was extremely easy to set up using the smartlife app, I have used this app before for other smart stuff and didn’t need to create a seperate account. It detected the smart bulb using the search feature. By default it started with yellow color and started blinking, indicating that it is smart bulb and has to be connected. The smartlife app has multiple functions such as changing light color, brightness, and several mood settings. I have used this app before and they lasted more than 4 years, I am still using them. This bulb also looks of the same quality, it is definitely a good deal at this price for this smart bulb.

This thing is so cool!
Absolutely in love with this light bulb! I love mood and accent lighting. This fits the bill perfectly. It was really easy to set up and connect and the colors are awesome. I got it for ambient mood lighting, but honestly, I can sit and just look at this thing. The connectivity was a breeze and it functions the way it’s supposed to.
