A perfect match and two for the price of one.
For a little more than what Google charges for one metal electrical box plate, your get two plates and two trim kits.These are identical to the ones Google sells without the fancy packaging. I was able to mount both my Nest thermostats onto electrical boxes with these kits for a lot less money. Just buy them. They’re just as good as the ones Google sells.

It bends out and is not attractive. To the point it’s like it was made defective. The one I purchased previously was flat on the wall and much nicer.

Failure
I have replaced the Google thermostat because there is an internal connection problem between the front panel and the back panel. I was told by Google appointed service advisor to buy a front panel mounting panel , which I did, installed by electrician and still doesn’t make electrical connection to back panel. I should be sent a new thermostat to remedy the problem. Gary Farrell

I had previously picked up some wall plates that said they were for their Google Nest Thermostat but turned out to be for the Google Nest Learning Thermostat, which are two totally different sizes. I decided to give these ones a try and they turned out to be perfect.First off, they give you two, which for me is perfect because I had two thermostats to install. The plates look great once installed, giving a good solid backing to your thermostat. In my case, since the thermostats being replaced were larger, the wall behind had screw holes. But these face plates worked perfectly to cover the holes up.While I didn’t need them, the manufacturer did include metal backing plates in case you need additional support. In my case, the plates worked great on their own, as my images can attest to. The material is solid and looks good, and I know these will look great for a long time coming. Highly recommend.

Nice way to cover your thermostat
I’ve had a Google Nest thermostat for a while but never had a wall plate for it. I noticed some wall imperfections recently around the edge of the thermostat so got this to cover it. It’s just a simple plastic cover but it’s effective so you don’t see those blemishes on the wall. Much easier than to have to spackle and sand the wall. Good product.

Look just like the google ones
This was a pretty easy install. I did it without reading any instructions and it only took a couple of minutes. This looks just like the original google version. Much nicer than seeing the extra holes in the wall I’ve looked at for the last 18 months prior to installing this.
