Working well
Seems to be working well with my Ecobee Premium which is connected to a steam boiler by two wires. I put the transformer’s wires on C and Rc.I appreciate the added reassurance that this transformer was sold by a company based in the USA rather than every other doorbell/thermostat transformer on Amazon which is from an “alphabet soup” brand.

Works with Xfinity doorbell!
I got an Xfinity video doorbell and found out that my house doesn’t have a chime box or wired doorbell setup. For the last year, we had no indoor chime for the doorbell which was sometimes very frustrating. I spent forever searching for universal video doorbell chimes and Ohmkat was the only one that looked promising. I was nervous about having to rewire the doorbell on my own as we had ours professionally installed because I don’t know diddly squat about wiring and what not. The installation was super easy! If you’re a novice like myself, I recommend a wire hanger or something to fish the cable through the wall. That part took me the longest to figure out. I didn’t have to worry about drilling holes since it was already done in the original installation. Just a reminder that you have to also purchase the Ohmkat chime kit. For this to work as an indoor wireless chime for the Xfinity video doorbell.

Great 24-volt DC power supply
We purchased a WI-FI thermostat that requires a 24-volt power supply (aka needs a “C” wire). Our heating system does not have a “C” wire – with OhmKat power supply we fished the wire from the thermostat to the basement and plugged the power supply into a 110 outlet.Fact: every smart thermostat (connected to WI-FI) needs a “C” wire – batteries alone are not sufficient.

Wanted this faster than AMZN could get deliver so got it at big box hardware store (sorry AMZN).This is a great 24v power adapter if you need to power your video doorbell or a smart WiFi thermostat (that needs a C-wire or the C-wire isn’t working sufficiently for the thermostat).A very well designed and built 24v power adapter. Knew immediately from picking up as it’s quite heavy for a power adapter (all the components for short protection).Bought this for missing C-wire for my HVAC. Powered up and ran without any issue.
