Good starter set
So this is what we needed. We didnt want to pay for the big time carriers but we needed something which would integrate locally and provide alerts. We are pleased with the quality and how loud the alerts are. It was an easy installation and setup. We are looking to purchase a few more accessories now that we are comfortable with this security system.

It works well if you don’t mind the size
This contact sensor requires the Smart Life app, which wasn’t an issue for me as I have 5 or 6 things that run on it already. Pairing was straightforward BUT you have to be on 2.4 WiFi, as with many of these. I couldn’t connect it to my main, which is coalesced (2.4 & 5 only broadcast one SSID). But on my non broadcasted Guest Network, it connected right away.The box includes double sided tape for the small contact sensor, which is roughly 1.75″ T x 0.5″ W x 0.75″ D, but no tape for the main unit, which is much bigger… that’s about 2.75″ T x 1.25″ W x 0.75″ D. The main part requires you to screw the battery plate to your wall and then click in the actual unit on top of it. If you need to remove it, you need a small flat screwdriver to pry the top and bottom away from the plate.The main unit has a tamper sensor, a little piece like a button. When it’s on the wall, the button is pushed in. When it’s removed from the wall, the button pops out, indicating it’s been tampered with. Just note that Tamper notifications have to be on in the app for this to work.As far as notifications, from contact sensor open, I received a notification roughly 4-6 seconds after. That’s with the sensor on WiFi and my phone on my carrier network. So pretty good! The bad is that if the unit is removed (tampered with), and someone should switch it off, you don’t get a notification. Actually, my app continued to show that it was on and fine, even after it had been switched off.That’s a rare scenario so I still give it four stars just from functioning right. My main complaint is the size of the primary unit (the smaller one is just a magnet). This thing is pretty big and obtrusive, so it might be fine for a garage or other exterior door where you might not worry about aesthetics, but I couldn’t put this on an interior door… it’s just too big.

Failed after a month but received a replacement that works great.
Connected to my router, could control it over Smart Life App, had the GSM working. It called when the alarm was set or triggered, sent text messages…etc. Easy setup, even with all the sensors I got.And a month an a day later, Smart Life could no longer connect. Removed the alarm from Smart Life app and tried to add it again. Tried connecting with WiFi 2.4 GHz, Blue Tooth… the alarm unit counted down waiting to connect but no success. Did the reset/restart, tried connecting again, and no success. Finally performed factory reset which erased everything. Tried to add it using Smart Life app, and still could not connect. Thinking it was my phone, I used another phone, installed Smart Life app for the first time… and tried to connect to the alarm without success. If I get a replacement from the seller, I will update my review, as electronics can fail.Contacted the seller and they provided a replacement main unit. Installed it and it paired with no issues and Smart Life App connected. I am happy to have it all working again as it should.
