convenient to carry
For those who don’t want to give up coffee, this is an excellent travel companion. It is small in size, lightweight, and easy to use and clean. It is also convenient to pack and carry. It is suitable for both going to hotels and hiking. It can make delicious coffee. This machine is well-designed, and the materials used have excellent texture and are very sturdy.

Great if you like cold grainy coffee
This takes FOREVER to make a single shot of espresso and it comes out cold and full of grounds! I was so disappointing.

Performance – container popped out (one thread disengaged from the main body).
takes getting used to; very small water container (because it is espresso?) and even when boiling water is used, the temperature comes out low. BUT with practice – COFFEE IS GOOD! And I just add a little hot water to bring up the temp and coffee is still good. I have tried ground (2 scoops per brew) and capsule and both worked fine.

I take it everywhere with me!
I’ve been using my portable espresso maker for over a month now and I’ve taken it on a cruise, camping, on a short out-of-town trip, and I take it to my office a couple of times a week. I’ve used it with nespresso pods, larger pods and ground coffee and for me, it’s worked best with nespresso pods. Ground coffee gets messy with this maker and the ground coffee attachment has a very small and thin gasket that comes off easily. I’m not sure how easy it is to replace that gasket if it breaks or gets lost (I haven’t seen a replacement part being sold here) so I think its ability to brew ground coffee could be improved. I usually heat up my water separately as that makes the process faster, and the little brewer can make me a cup of espresso in less than a minute. It’s consistently taken me about 12 minutes if I brew the espresso using room-temperature water. The instruction manual could use some more info, ie. maintenance instructions. Like any coffee brewer, it’s probably a good idea to run a de-scaling cycle every so often to remove deposits.
