    Nice camera
Very pleased with this camera. The install and setup were easy and straightforward. The camera has a lot of nice features (motion activated light, talk-back, Sim card storage) and the mobile app gives nice access to functionality. The solar panel provides good charge. Camera zoom angle is good and picture quality is very good.

    Five star
I’ve been using the REOLINK wireless outdoor security cameras (the 2-pack with the solar panels) for about 3 months now and I’m honestly blown away. Setup was genuinely easy – I had both cameras up and running in under 20 minutes using the Reolink app. No drilling, no messy wires, just mount, connect to Wi-Fi (2.4GHz), and you’re done. The fact that they’re truly 100% wire-free and powered by the little solar panels is a game-changer. Even during cloudy weeks here in the Pacific Northwest, the batteries stay topped off with just a few hours of indirect sunlight.Picture quality is outstanding – sharp 2K video during the day with really impressive color accuracy, and the color night vision (when the spotlights kick in) is shockingly clear. I can easily read license plates from across the street and recognize faces from 40+ feet away. The PIR motion detection is spot-on too; almost zero false alerts now that I fine-tuned the zones and sensitivity. I love getting instant push notifications with a thumbnail so I know whether it’s the mail carrier or just a squirrel.Two-way audio works great (scared off a porch pirate the other day – he heard me loud and clear and bolted). Local storage on the SD card means I’m not paying monthly cloud fees, which was a huge selling point for me.Build quality feels solid – they’ve survived heavy rain, wind, and even a couple of freezing nights with no issues. The magnetic mounts make repositioning a breeze. If you’re on the fence, just go for it. These REOLINK cameras deliver everything the big-name brands promise but at a much better price and without the subscription trap. 100% recommend! Already planning to add two more for the backyard.

    Does great videos
Does not use the cloud for video, it uses a micro SD card. Great video at night time.

A well rounded blend of quality value
Recently I’ve been looking to update my home camera system as the ones currently installed are a few years old and although they technically still work, the 1080p video quality is low end with regards to how cheap 4k cams have become. Plus having to take them down to charge once a month is inconvenient. So when researching new Hi-Def wireless cameras they needed to be able to have constant power without the cord. In comes the solar powered wifi class. I played with a total of 3 different brands, all in the 2k to 3k range. Some PTZ some static cams. All were sub par when it came to connectivity. Then I come across Reolink. Not the cheapest on the market but they’re are more expensive brands as well. They checked all the boxes. Solar powered/Wifi 5g or 6g, goodbye 2.4g lag! Video quality it nice, crisp, clean 3k. Haven’t purchased their 4k variant yet but it’s next on the list. This one’s is a well rounded blend of value and quality. Just purchased a second one at time of writing this. Don’t take my word for it, try em yourself. You won’t be disappointed.

Good Quality at a good price
I now have 4 of these cameras around my home, they work well… we do sometimes have connectivity issues, but they always seem to reconnect on their own

Great product, app and user friendly.
This is my 3 rd purchase product from Reolink. I already purchase 8 home cameras and NVR. After that I added a reolink doorbell camera to my app and now I purchased this individual camera and solar charger for my boat at a different location.I am super impressed about reolinks app and ease of setting up and adding their cameras. Also love the fact that you don’t really need a subscription. Get the SD cards for doorbell or individual camera or hard wire your home cameras directly to a NVR.The product is very well made and doesn’t feel cheap. Best camera system so far for reasonable pricing for me.

Battery will not charge, tried multiple charger per REOLINKs search
Argus 3 Pro-Will not charge. Tested, picture is clear, app is not as hard to use or connect to router as some folks seem to indicate in their reviews. Charged some on solar but I also need it to charge on a charging block. Used multiple chargers after reviewing REOLINK troubleshooting, but still no luck. 24 hrs on charger and battery is going down. No good to me if the battery dies and it won’t charge…returning it. May try another model of REOLINK but not this one

I’m a big fan of the Reolink ecosystem, I find they offer one of the best value & quality on the market. They make quality products that are affordable for the consumer market.I’ve been using their cameras and NVR’s for almost 8 years.I currently have 7 of their camera’s & 1 NVR running some of which have been through 3 eastern Canadian winters. My very first Reolink was a RLC-410-5MP that I upgraded after 4 years (still worked). The Argus 3 Pro is a solar powered camera, so it’s gears for specific case uses where you can’t have a POE or powered camera. I find them perfectly suitable for your country house/chalet or for your backyard. In other words, low traffic areas. I really don’t suggest using the Argus 3 Pro in a high traffic area like for the front of your house unless it’s a really quiet suburb with little foot & car traffic. Me being in the city in a lively neighbourhood it’s not the ideal product for that situation. But I do have a basement entrance in my backyard that needed better camera coverage & this product did the job. First the Argus 3 Pro was easy to set up, using the Reolink phone APP I was able to add it and have it to my account and have it working in no time. I suggest to fully charge and test it out inside before doing your outdoor installation. Make sure to pick a spot that gets good sun coverage for the solar panel. The camera itself is fairly small and compact, the panel is really what’s more noticeable. The video quality of the Argus 3 Pro is really good and the spotlights are great for night time recording. I have mine setup to record when there’s motion in a specif zone (something that you can setup in the APP). There’s a lot of other settings you can tweak and change in the APP.You can setup the APP to send you motion event’s alerts on your phone. The delay between the event and receiving the alert is about 10 seconds. Another thing I love about Reolink is that you are not forced into a subscription model. They do offer paid cloud recording services, but they are optional. First way you can record is directly on the camera via a microSD card. You can also view/record directly with the Android or iOS APP. You can record on a computer using the PC software and finally you can record on a Reolink NVR or Home Hub. So I love Reolink for the flexibility it gives for recording and viewing video. Battery life will greatly vary depending on how many events it records, how much you remotely access the camera, how well the panel is placed & how much sun light it gets (rainy or cloudy days will impact charging). But if like me, you have it situated in low traffic area the solar panel is capable of keeping it functioning, so far I’ll never dipped below 65%. Overall I’m very happy with this product and I highly recommend any Reolink products, but I suggest you identify your needs first so that you pick the correct camera for your use case.

I’ve been using Reolink cameras for over a decade. The latest camera mounted on my garage was the Argus 2 which served me very well for the last 3 or 4 years, but it’s 1080p resolution and low light performance were somewhat limited when compared to modern cameras. The Argus 3 Pro is the perfect upgrade. The camera has a very similar physical appearance and dimensions, so I can install it in the same spot, neatly hidden under my roof, yet with a full view of my driveway.Argus 3 Pro improves on the older model with a 2K resolution and significantly upgraded video quality. It’s not just the extra pixels, the video is less noisy and less compressed. Night time mode is a massive improvement capturing really quite detailed footage instead of the smudgy one from the old camera. The camera has a 120 degree wide field of view. The passive infrared sensor responsible for motion detection covers about 100 degrees of that and from about a week of experience, the slight gap on the sides doesn’t make any difference, and the motion detection has both better range and better accuracy than on Argus 2.There are two modes of night vision. There is the typical black & white where the camera turns on its infrared light to illuminate the frame – works very well, my preference for my pitch black backyard. And as an alternative there is a full colour mode in which the camera uses it’s small but pretty powerful spotlights. This works really well for my driveway where the street lights and my porch light partially light up the area and the camera lights flood the space directly in front of the garage. The colour mode is really surprisingly good!I have fully charged the Argus before installation and have it set up with the solar panel. The panel, thanks to long cable, is installed on the side of the garage to maximize the sun exposure. So far in about 10 days, the battery didn’t drop down below 95% and the 95% was because I was experimenting with motion detection. The battery life is very good and the panel is capable of providing a charge even on partially overcast days. The app has a nice widget showing statistics of the solar charging and battery state.Argus 3 Pro is fully compatible with Home Hub control centre/recorder, but if you don’t have one, it will still fully function as a standalone item. One of nice features of Reolink cameras is their ability to simultaneously record to an internal memory card and to the drive in the Home Hub. This offers additional redundancy in case of WiFi connection/power problems. The managment and viewing of the camera footage is accomplished via the Reolink app. Over the years Reolink really improved the experience, and overall I find it a full featured and capable app. If you have more than one Reolink camera, then the app can easily control all the units. The app works well and compared to an Eufy system I looked at recently, it is a much faster and more polished program.Overall, the Argus 3 is a mature, well designed and very capable camera, offering very good video quality and advanced features at a very reasonable price.

What’s included:- Reolink Argus 3 Pro- Solar Panel- Solar Panel Mount- User guides and manuals- Mounting accessories for both camera and solar panel- Charging cable- Mounting strapsReolink’s Argue 3 Pro is a very good battery camera for it’s size, but because of that size requires regular charging. The camera is well built and durable. It looks like many of Reolink’s cameras and has the controls at the bottom of the camera, where a MicroSD card slot, reset button and on/off switch are found. There is also a second compartment which contains the USB-C charging port where the camera should be charged from. The camera is relatively small and fits in hand and mounting is quite simple, as Reolink provides everything necessary to mount the camera, minus the screwdriver of which a Phillips screwdriver is necessary to have on hand. This Reolink camera like others requires the Reolink app to be installed in order to be able to operate and get any benefit from the camera.Additionally, the ability to use a MicroSD card over paying for a subscription is something that Reolink continues to do with this camera which I really like. There are some important technical details to note that I will summarize now because they are meaningful when it comes to a purchasing decision, so here are some of the specs. below…- 5MP, 2K resolution (2880×1620)- Color night vision- Dual band wifi (2.4GHz/5GHz)- Smart detection which includes: Person, vehicle and animals- Black and white night vision- Smart home integration- Spotlights- Privacy Mask- Reolink Client- 2 way audio- 6000 mAh batteryWith those specs out of the way, let me talk about how well this camera works based on my experience.First of all, the camera works really well. The 5MP camera, while it drains more battery, is a very clear and crips picture. There is also the ability to lower the image quality if the camera’s 5MP resolution is a problem for your internet.Second, when it comes to internet connection, this is about average in terms of connectivity. It occasionally requires having to try to open up the feed in the app a couple of times every once in a while, but that’s about the average industry standard based on my experience with battery cameras.Third, the standard night vision using IR LEDs is good and Reolink allows you to increase brightness if needed in the app to get an even clearer black and white picture at night. The FPS with the typical IR LEDs tends to be higher for me than the colour night vision – I will say more on that in a moment. As far as the color night vision goes, it works fine and is not pixelated (which I was concerned about) and is relatively clear and really helps to add some detail when it comes to identifying features due to the inclusion of color. As far as the FPs between the two, the standard IR LEDs tends to get me 15 FPS while the color night vision tends to be a little lower at about 12 FPS. For me, I prefer the colour night vision and so I am willing to accept a slight drop in the FPS (frames per second) at least for now.Fourth, Reolink cameras have always had an issue with ghosting during the night and by ghosting I mean, for example, if a person walks across the camera’s field of view, the legs may become partially see-through and the faster an object moves the worse it can be. With this Argus 3 Pro, ghosting is quite good, but that’s on par with the non-colour version of the camera and I do notice the colour night vision has a little bit more ghosting than the standard IR LEDs.As far as cool down period goes, this too is about industry standard and about 30-45 seconds. By cool down period, I mean getting an initial message about an object being detected and then how long before a second notification is sent if the object remains in the camera’s field of view. To me, anything less than a minute is reasonable and anything above a minute is not a security camera but a hobby camera because so much can happen in the span of 30 seconds to a minute. As far as the person/vehicle and animal detection features go, its good. I don’t really keep the camera set to detect animals because that is an unnecessary drain on the battery in my opinion, unless there is a specific reason to want to see some animal ie damaging the garden etc. Thus, the person detection is good but it does take a bit of finessing with the app to get it right.Lastly, I just want to touch upon the camera’s battery. For this size camera, it has a smaller battery at just 6000 mAh and so that requires being charged pretty frequently, like every few weeks. In my case the camera is in a convenient location so it’s not much of a burden but if you plan on putting this camera somewhere that is very challenging to get to, the necessity to recharge the battery every few weeks is something to think about.Overall, this Reolink camera is quite good for a small battery wifi operated camera. Its quite reliable, has good night vision (colour or black and white), and a good supporting app. On the not so good side is the frequency with which the battery needs to be charged, and still some small ghosting issues depending on the circumstances as well as the fact that 10-15 FPS in my opinion in late 2025 is not good enough. Yes its a battery operated camera, but FPS really does impact clarity of images in my humble opinion.I did not test or use the solar panel because of the camera’s location so I cannot say anything on that, but one thing I think Reolink does really well is the use of Reolink Client and so this camera will work with that system which can create a desktop NVR if one wishes – very convenient and handy.Cheers,

This camera comes with all of the hardware and equipment to securely mount it and the solar panel anywhere outdoors, and the charging cable from the panel to the camera is CRAZY long! I am moving soon so I don’t want to mount it outside so I’ve had it in my window sil the last month and despite the angle the solar panel is on being terrible, and the fact that it’s in a North facing window, this panel has been at about ~40% since I set it up! I haven’t had to add an additional energy source at all, even on gloomy, rainy days, it only drops a few percentages!I already have 2 other Reolink cameras in my home so this was an easy set up because I knew what I was doing and already had the app but it may be a bit time consuming for someone who’s new to reolink as they give you a ton of options for customization of notifications, areas, alert sized objects, watermarks, storage, recording, etc etc. I moved to reolink last summer as I was sick of all the constant ad pushes to purchase cloud storage on my old cameras, and the tiny snips of a video I’d get from a motion detection recording. Reolink allows you to customize how much of a recording you want to see or if you want it to continuously record, and then it stores it all locally on the attached SD Card! You don’t need to buy their back up huh, just use an old SD Card laying about or purchase one up to 128GB and it’ll continuous record based on your specifications, right over old videos! It’s by far the cheapest security system you can get as there is only an upfront cost, and it’s been so reliable and simple to use once set up! Highly, highly recommend this camera as well as the E1 Pro 3K cameras. I love that they swivel and follow movement so I need way less to monitor my place and the only thing I would change about this outdoor camera would be to add that same movement capability to it so I can see multiple angles with one camera! But as is I still highly recommend it, I think the lack of needing a power source for it is enough of a selling point alone!

This is an exceptional solar security camera that can connect to the highly useful Home Hub. It offers a wide range of customizable features without requiring a subscription, and the accompanying app pairs seamlessly and is easy to navigate. The app and camera works well with a dedicated Alexa skill, allowing you to set up motion detection notifications for person detection that are sent to your Alexa-compatible devices as voice announcements, and you can click to view the live feed from your Echo Show screen. The camera paired effortlessly with the Reolink Home Hub and the phone app, effectively filtering which videos are sent to the Hub and which are stored locally on the camera. I can access all recorded videos through the playback feature in the app, which typically includes motion without people, but whenever it detects a person, the video is saved to the Home Hub. I appreciate the ability to set up a Non-Detection Zone and adjust its settings for Person, Vehicle, Animal, and Others. The picture clarity is outstanding, even in low light conditions. The infrared imagery is clear and crisp, and the camera can be set to turn on its lights upon detecting motion, switching the recording to full color. I can see every small detail, such as individual leaves, clearly regardless of the outdoor lighting. It also has smart detection features that can be adjusted individually—such as setting vehicle detection to low, animal detection to medium, and person detection to high—allowing for customization based on your specific needs and the location of your camera. The camera is sturdy, durable, and easy to install. I installed it myself using just a small handheld electric screwdriver and had no trouble mounting it to the eaves of my garage, along with its solar panel. The solar function is impressive, and despite frequent notifications from deer and vehicles, even on a cloudy day, I have never seen the battery percentage drop below 97%. These came with all the necessary hardware and multiple mounting options. The instructions were clear, concise, and easy to follow, and I had no issues at all. I have already recommended this brand and these specific cameras to friends and coworkers.
