Best Set-and-Forget Robot Vacuum
Excellent product. This is my second roborock. I’m upgrading from the original QRevo that I bought two years ago. I am truly impressed with how much they have improved the robot in the past two years. I loved it so much I got a second Saros 10 RDS for my business.The best improvements are:1. Retracting Lidar System – the robot now comfortably fits under everything – sofas, beds, furniture – to get all the dustbunnies out from every corner. One surprise is that it’s so slim that it actually managed to clean under the dryer as well (all the lint and dust and lost socks [seen from the camera]).2. The on board camera has been an excellent addition. The ability to see pictures of the objects that it’s avoided is genius. And being able to see under beds nad sofas is nice as well. When I’m not home, it’s also a nice piece of mind to see around the house.3. Better ability to climb – the Saros 10 is definitely a lot better at going up slopes (as you can see in the attached video) and going over threshholds. I built a little ramp since my garage is one step down and the Saros 10 has no issues going up and down it to clean the garage and coming back to wash the mop at the base. With the QRevo, I had to babysit it and carry it down the step to the garage and carry it back to get its mop washed everytime. I hope in the next model they increase the height it can go over as there are a few threshholds in my house that it just barely makes it over, but that means about 30% of the time it will fail to go over them if it doesn’t do it at the exact right angle. Also, I wish they would improve it’s high-pile carpet mobility. I have a patch of fake turf in my patio, and the Saros 10 definitely struggles to make it through it so I’ve had to set it to avoid that space.4. RDS system – I don’t know why they don’t offer more options for RDS in other models. The RDS system has been a game changer. With the old QRevo, I was changing the water every other day–to the point that I would rather not use the robot so I wouldn’t have to change the water. Now with the RDS, I can run the robot whenever I want without worrying about changing the water–which the dirty water is just nasty and cleaning out the tank is just tedious. The RDS system has truly made it hassle free. It just works. I have the robot scheduled to clean certain rooms on certain days and I never have to worry about it running out of water. Because of the RDS system, I was able to find a spot under the kitchen sink close to all the water lines. It’s quite a genius set up. I just cut out part of the kickplate and cabinet base so the Saros 10 can come in and out on it’s own and then be out of sight the rest of the time. It’s the most seemless design ever.5. Vibrating Mop – I was really relunctant to get the Saros 10 because of the mopping system. I had read it’s not that great, so I really wanted to stick to the two rotating mops system of the QRevo, but alas, the only RDS model available in the US is the vibrating mop version, so I bit the bullet and got it. And it’s really not that bad or much different from the rotating mops. On the medium setting it is able to achieve a pretty clean result, and on the highest setting, it’s completely thorough.6. Battery life has been excellent and the quick charge function is not a gimmick. I can clean my whole 2000 sq ft house on one charge now, something that would have taken at least one recharge to do with the QRevo. And unlike the QRevo, it doesn’t take 5-7 hours to recharge the battery anymore either.Overall, I am 100% satisfied with the new Saros 10 and can’t wait to see what new features Roborock will come up with in future generations. I’m definitely waiting for the stair climber! The robot is quite expensive if you buy it at full retail price, so I definitely recommend waiting for it to go on sale which is quite frequent. I got mine on sale for $1399 plus Amazon’s 5% rewards back, so it was a pretty good deal.

Robot failed and bad support after this
After less than two weeks the mop would not reattach to the robot at the dock. The robot completely malfunctioned, went in circles, and could not return to dock. Could not be reset. Could not be turned off. Could not be paired with the app.Support kept me going in circles with emails that kept repeating the same instructions. They could not understand or ignored the things I said. It was not possible to follow the instructions they sent because the robot would not respond. Eventually, only by being very insistent, did they take it in for service.Then they claimed it had water damage. The robot was never exposed to water except from the dock. I assume the mop failure somehow exposed it to moisture. They said they would replace it with a refurbished unit only one time for water damage, which I did not cause. A week later and the replacement has not been sent. When I followed up I was literally told to be more patient.This is an expensive device to fail, fail so soon, and then have such bad customer service and technical support.

Best for large homes
This is the best robot for large homes. My downstairs is around 3000 square feet and it doesn’t take all day to clean. It’s quiet and does an awesome job. We have mostly tile and hardwood with area rugs. No pets, but I have 6 children. Hair is never trapped in the roller. It’s quiet. The app is great. I love this thing, it has changed my life.

Moro no Brasil, e primeiro que chegou com quase um mês antes. O que mais demorou foi quando parou na alfândega, mas não passou de uma semana e logo liberaram. A gente fica ansioso mas é bem certinha essa parte.Sobre o robô, que coisa linda! Venho de um xiaomi, que antes me atendia muito bem, e agora com esse parece que tenho um canhão em casa. O chassis consegue subir um baita degrau de minha casa e adorei isso! A limpeza é impecável, quase sem necessidade de passar um pano depois. Infelizmente é um produto caro, mas se estiver com dúvidas entre quais da mesma faixa de preço comprar, vá no Saros 10 sem medo!

I like how the base is a little deeper but not as tall. It makes the room look more spacious a bit. It works great overall, you can see the camera of the robot like a security camera and call it like a smart speaker. Voice commands work but are very inconsistent, requiring repeating. It does not reach the edges very well and makes me wonder if I should’ve gotten the one with the two round mops.The single flat mop is great for not leaving any streaks. Keeps the floor looking great. One bottle of floor cleaner fits inside the base station and it’ll add it automatically. All you need to do is swap out the waters, easily lifted up in generously sized containers. The dust bin lasts for a bit and needs changing but it won’t tell you when. You had to open it up and I guess estimate based on how it feels? Very annoying.Biggest issue is with cables. I’ve had it pick up cables, chewing them and keeping them in its mouth, dragging them around. Even the cheapest robots usually just spit the cable back out but not this one. It has damaged cables with water and I’m worried it could start a fire if I’m not home by shorting out a cable it yanked with water.If you have any cables anywhere it could touch, do not get this one.
