So Cool – EXCEPT – BUT
Easy hardware install (just follow app instructions) but I had to reset doorbell and reconnect because I didn’t properly connect chime.I hesitated purchase because it doesn’t use existing doorbell but I like the Roku chime MORE since it has option for selecting from several different chimes. One review said Roku chime is too low. NOT true. Need to adjust the volume in the app. Can make it super loud.Also, since I have a Roku box connected to my TV, when someone rings the doorbell a small box of the video appears on the lower corner of the screen that I can click on and expand. See photo.Doorbell does all the other needed functions: 2-way sound, motion detection, photo capture, phone notification (may require $40/yr subscription).EXCEPT when I select the Smart Detection menu option I get “FailedInternal service error” so I am not able to specify/setup detection rules.BUT I deleted the doorbell from the app and reinstalled it with the reset button and now ALL working!REQIRES 2.4g network!!!

Roku Camera no good!
Worked for a few months and then started acting up. Roku support was the worst. over 35 minutes on the phone after Chat hung up on me. To tell me that they will send a new OTA update to fix the issue. Still not resolved. Now I am out $70. Love Roku TVs but not these cameras!

An Extra Layer of Security.
Protecting home sweet home. I have other security cameras but just wanted to add another layer of security. I had my local electrician swap out my regular doorbell and install it. It has an impressive field of vision, and you can see who is at the door. One thing that did happen, at the worst of times was it stopped providing video clips just at the time there was an issue with a missing package. I had to reset it after which it is working fine again. There are ways to adjust the sensitivity of the motion sensor, which may be good as if you allow it to make notifications to your phone it will be doing it all to frequently for a swinging branch etc. Still a good buy for the money.

This roku door came is amazing easy installation with easy to follow instructions the video quality is great and the door chime is nice and loud so you can hear it upstairs or get notifications on your cell which you can talk to and hear your visitors.

Easy to install, works great if you’re already in the Roku ecosystem.
Straightforward and easy to install, the app works well, works great with other Roku devices, can see who’s at your door on your TV etc. Knocking 2 stars off because several features are disabled unless you pay the four dollar a month subscription. I really hate this business model, I’d rather pay double for the door doorbell to have the all features included, not just the cloud recording, but the alert system that let you know someone’s there even if they don’t press the doorbell. I have not been able to get that to work without the subscription. I have a different camera that absolutely still does this without a subscription so I know other companies do offer this.

I recently installed the Roku Smart Home Wired Video Doorbell & Chime, and I’m really impressed. The 1080p HD video and ultrawide view give me a clear picture of everything happening at my doorstep, even at night. The motion and sound detection are spot on, alerting me to any activity right away. I also love the chime—it makes sure I never miss a visitor. Plus, it’s been great for keeping an eye out for Amazon and other packages. The wired setup was easy to install and has been reliable so far. It’s been a fantastic upgrade for my home security!

Best doorbell
I have had Google Nest and RIng, but honestly this doorbell looks better and more importantly work much better. I couldn’t be more pleased and more importantly cost so much less. If you are interested in getting a video doorbell I highly recommend this Roku video doorbell. Well been almost 1 1/2 years since I purchased this doorbell and now stopped working. I’m disappointed it stopped but definitely not mad at Roku, worked great when it was working but I know anything that is man made can break, so definitely will be buying a new Roku video doorbell.
