Awesome outdoor security camera
So glad we finally added an outdoor camera to our simply safe system. Works great!! Picture is clear. Mounted with the recommended screw on mount we purchased separately after seeing some say the magnet didn’t hold and didn’t want it to land on cement driveway and break. But my husband said he felt the magnet was pretty strong. Better safe than sorry

I absolutely love my SimpliSafe security system, and these Outdoor Security Camera Series 2 units are a fantastic addition. The picture quality is excellent — clear 1080p video both day and night, with a wide field of view that easily covers driveways, entryways, or backyards.The setup was simple and straightforward, and I appreciate that these cameras can be used wirelessly or wired, depending on what works best for each location. The wireless battery lasts much longer than I expected, and when hardwired, you never have to think about charging.The motion detection is smart and responsive without being overly sensitive, and the two-way audio feature works great for talking to visitors or delivery drivers. Works for my purposes
Good video quality, easy to install. I am not keep on the magnetic mount, anyone can knock it off.I already had SimpliSafe monitoring so that’s why I went with SimpliSafe outdoor cameras. One camera is hard wired to power. I can’t recess the wire or protect it from the weather or rodents.

A bit expensive but they work reliably
Work well and the solar cell option is definitely worth it as they keep an old man from climbing a ladder to replace/recharge batteries. This picture shows two older versions of the cameras but the new version, just purchased, seems to be virtually identical other than an odd protruding chin. A bit expensive perhaps but solid products especially with the solar option. Management in the SimpliSafe app is, well, simple

Although camera is good, wall mount design is has a defect
Overall, the functionality is solid. The 1080p picture quality is good, and it’s nice that you can adjust it depending on your Wi-Fi strength. The battery isn’t USB-C, but it has held up well so far, especially since I paired it with a third-party solar panel for daily charging. Now my house under surveillance which is nice but there are improvements I think should be made:1. Connectivity: I had to purchase a Wi-Fi extender because the initial connection wasn’t strong enough. It’s better now, but the camera connection still crashes or disconnects occasionally when handling multiple requests.2. Lag: Motion detection has a slight delay. The camera often wakes up a bit too late, which sometimes causes it to miss important details like a person’s face.3. Wall Mount Design: The included black twist magnetic wall mount is poorly designed. The twist cap isn’t strong enough to hold the mount itself. My camera almost fell off—I caught it just in time. I strongly recommend purchasing a sturdier, separate wall mount.
