    Will Work With 3 Way
I bought the WR-318 that includes remote so I could turn on my rear patio lights on from my bed should my Optex 2000 wireless announcer starts going off indicating motion on my rear patio.Thing is, my patio lights are on 2 switches aka known as 3 Way. Ie:-one switch in living room and one switch in bedroom that both control the same lights. Skylink support was useless in explaining the wiring of this with 3 way as 2 reps told me to totally disconnect Switch 2 (non hot) and another told me to just keep one traveler wire connected. All three reps were wrong, would not work, and I had to figure it out on my own. After a lot of trial and error, the switch (in my case Switch 1) which carries the120 volt hot common is where you remove the existing switch and then install the Skylink receiver with hot to Skylink black and one traveler to Skylink red. The other traveler just gets capped. Ground to Skylink green. Switch 2 (with non hot common) you leave totally alone and fully connected. You just need to keep it ON all the time. Remote and dimming now works fine with no delay and running exactly 300 watts (five 60 watt bulbs) with no problem.

  2. Rated wrong mailbox. This one was hard to open and close.

    NOT A VERY GOOD PRODUCT.
I am having an issue with the remote. It does not stay programmed and have to be re-programmed two to three times per day if you have the remote sitting out of the switch. This has started one week after it was installed and have been too busy (travelling & working over-seas) to report the issue.NOT A VERY GOOD PRODUCT…I have not contacted the seller since I may have a defective product.Update on 8/07/2018:After spending an hour trying to get a contact phone number foir this company; all I could get was a e-mail address. So, I sent a E-mail and received a phone call from the Company saying that they will send a replacement unit ASAP, it has been close to three months now and still waiting. I will not hold my breath and it really do not worth my time to pursue this further. My advice is..stay away.

Great product, but not for general dimming.
Great product but hard to configure for Dimming, as it does not truly dim my LED’s, it dims for a short period then goes back to full brightness. I have the same LED bulbs in the another room and they dim fine but not with this switch. This should be stated in their description, unless I am missing a step. Product is well designed, looks nice, fits well as well. Wiring was a breeze. I may return this and buy another that actually dims the lights,Thank you!

Good device. Works as advertised. Not necessary intuitive to use all features
I just finished installing it and it works as advertised. Installation was easy but I am a licensed electrician. If you are new to electrical wiring, you may have some difficulty. There are some confusion as to the exact specification of this device. The Amazon advertisement says it is for maximum of 300 watts. Packaging says 300 watts. Instructions that came with the unit says 600 watts. I am not certain which one and it may say something on the device but it’s already on my wall. I am not taking it apart again. This device operates in two modes. ON/OFF mode and DIMMING mode. In former mode, you touch the switch and it will be ON or OFF. In Dimming mode, it will go from off to on in smooth fashion like any dimmer would. You do this by keeping your finger on the button. Once preferred setting is established, a quick touch will turn on or off at that setting. Keeping your finger on the button for 10 seconds or so will go from one mode to another. There is a quick flash of light to confirm this change. This device works well with DIMMABLE LED lights. Not all LED lights are dimmable and ones that are says so on the box and on the light. The light will go to maximum brightness but will not go to barely lit. There is a jump between OFF and to a point where it starts to give off light. This may be a characteristic of my LED bulbs. The part that goes into an electrical box is rather deep. So if you have a standard depth box and have lots of wires stuffed in already, you may have to rearrange a big to get it to fit. This part may give people new to this kind of work some trouble. You MUST set up and pair both the switch and the remote after installation. It’s easy and you just have to follow instructions provided with the unit. There will be one instructions for the switch and another instructions for the remote. You do the switch first, then the remote. There is one set In English and another in Spanish. The metal part of the switch is a TOUCH PANEL. You touch it and it does the same thing as touching the button on remote. What looks like a switch (manual calls it an “air gap” switch… why??) is used for setting up the switch. It is NOT used to turn on and off the lights. You do so by touching the metal part.I knocked off one start from my review because using all of the features of this switches are not intuitive. There are lots of features (such as timer) but going from one to next requires mode change. Plus, going from 1 minute timer to 5, 15, 30, and 60 min requires setting change which is done by pressing the “set” button on the switch. I will probably only use it as on/off and occasionally dimming mode. I will probably never use timer mode. Something like this, a dimmer, should be easy, intuitive, and should not require a manual to use all features. In other words, user interface leaves room for improvement. Another thing is, the button is small. Not a problem if remote is used as a remote. But when it is on a wall, it’s kind of hard to use. Since there is nothing else on the remote, it could have been made a lot larger. Why is this a problem? I have a tendency to casually walk by switches and flip it on or off. It’s difficult with remote attached. With it off, touch panel is quite nice since it’s whole surface is sensitive. If you are intending to install this switch for a senior citizen or someone who is easily frustrated, I am going to advise against it. Having finger on the button for 10 seconds will cause this switch to change mode. What looks like a switch on the panel isn’t a switch. It is relatively easy to get into wrong setting. Most people won’t have problems with it, but there may be situations where it is not desirable.** suggested improvement below **Maybe addition of another switch on the body itself and/or remote to change mode will lessen the confusion and improve usability. Something like this:on/off – button operates as simple switchdim – button operates as dimmer and double click will make it continuoustime – button toggles between different time setting and double click will make it continuousAlso, please consider making the button on remote larger.** suggestion ends here **If you read my review this far, you may think this is a negative review. It isn’t. I like it and I am keeping it. But, I think you should make your choice knowing these short comings and areas needing improvement.

Too sensitive to stray signals or changing power.
Works OK if you can stand to see it turn the lights on and off like a flash every 10 – 30 minutes. I have a slightly weak power source in this location of my house, I guess since it is the farthest room from the fuse panel. By weak mean that anything like a iron or small appliance or coffee maker will dim the lights. Not sure of that is what is triggering the flashing on the control but I do know I wired it correctly. Other non dimming model works fine and it is closer to the fuse panel. No dimming occurs anywhere else in the entire house. Other than that I do have a lot of things in the same room that are wireless so one of those may be triggering it.

    I love this.
This is very convenient. I like how the remote snaps onto the wall switch and the touch plate is nice. Cool product with different operation modes and the light fades in for a nice effect when you turn it on.

Very dissatisfied with the product. Ordered two for the house. One of them did not work at all (I made sure all the connections are right). The dimmer on the second one acts completely random, whether you use the touch feature or the remote. Most of the time it goes all the way on or off without stopping after your release the button. The other times it turns off on its own after dimming. It completely stops responding to touch/remote after two or three times of using dimming.

Cool little remote – super product
I have multiple remotes for various switches in the cars and throughout the house for various functions – and these are easy to program and super reliable.I have used these products for close to five years at the time of this review.

Functions well as advertised. Remote works well. The installation is not complicated but you have to pair the remote and the unit. I don’t know why it lost connection one time and I have to pair it again. Don’t lost your manual.

Pros – Best value for this kind of switch when on sale (paid $25)- Easy to install, however, depending on how many wires you have passing through the box you might need to squeeze them so this switch fits (there is a big box holding the electronics).Semi-Pro – It doesn’t mention support for LEDs, but it worked for me except for the lowest dimming setting which caused one of my LED bulbs tobuzz (Remember, this device doesn’t mention it is LED compatible, so results may vary and you can’t blame the maker if it doesn’t work).Cons – (Cost one star) Ugly, very ugly, I can’t understand a “modern” device that comes with a huge old school ON/OFF switch that will only beused once in the lifetime of the device. The remote looks nice, but I doubt anyone will ever snap the remote on the switch (these guysshould understand why people want remotes, right? ).- (Cost another star) Having to buy a separate plate to hide the hideous switch (you know, the one that shouldn’t be there to begin with). Conclusion – Skylink should review this design. I think they should remove the ON/Off button, the snap on feature and leave just the metallic faceplate. The small white button at the bottom doesn’t bother me, but could be replaced by something else, specially since it will not even beused in most cases (it’s used to register the remote, but mine came registered already).I recommend this product, but if they change the design, it will look better and cost less to produce. In case Skylink ever reads this comment and take my suggestions for their next device, I’ll be glad to receive a free switch 😀

2nd one I’ve had to buy. the first one died early. Hopefully better luck with this one. Range is pretty good. It’s not the prettiest thing on the wall and the remote sticks out. Fussy to program other remotes for it. Of all the wireless light switches it’s one of the better ones, but reliability might be a concern.Update, this one died too. Contacting seller. They don’t seem to last very long

I’ve purchased many Slylink switches and like their performance for the most part. Reliability is not their forte however, as I’ve replaced three of them after only a few years of use. This one had the remote break after only two days! Thank you Amazon for offering such a great exchange service! The switch itself is very convenient; leave on the wall receptacle or a nightstand for remote access. Simple two wire installation means that it’s easy for any DIY’ers. Without the remote, the receptacle itself can control the light with a touch of the finger, dimming and on/off.Edit 04/03/2016: My latest unit purchased last week came in defective, the wall unit won’t turn the light on with touch, it only turns it off! Bringing my rating down from 3 to 2 stars. So much hassle having to replace 50% of them!Edit 09/1232016: Another one bites the dust! The remote dropped dead…If you found my review helpful, please select yes.
