happy with my purchase and would recommend
i do a ton of lighting in my house and I think these are great. they work with SmartLife, the color accuracy seems better than most lights I’ve used, and they’re cheap. I purchased 3x more (for 4x total) for display.the only drawback I’ve encountered is that there is no dedicated white LED. because my lights switch between white and color automatically, I had to use the “scene” option instead of “white” for my programming (e.g. “color” makes them green, and “scene” makes them white).

Nothing truly special
Not overly impressed by this thing honestly. I was going to keep my opinion toyself but after repeated attempts to get me to give my thoughts I have to say I think it could be far better. It does not come with a remote and requires an app to control beyond the 3.button switch on the cable. Didn’t want another app so I am just going with the basic functions. Then it kept changing setting when I was controlling another device via its provided remote control. That’s a bit of a pain in the ass. There are other lights out there in this price point and below that are better.

Nice RGB Lighting For Gaming
I got this for my son and this is his review:If you are into gaming setups or streaming this lamp is a solid pick. I put it behind my dual monitor rig and the color range is insane. The RGB transitions are super clean and it reacts to music or in game sounds in real time which makes the whole setup feel alive. When I am grinding late at night I switch to a chill blue or purple tone and it gives perfect ambient light without glare on the screen. The app works smoothly and I had no issues connecting it to WiFi. You can control brightness and color modes easily, and the DIY feature lets you set custom patterns that actually save. Voice commands through Alexa work great too, I just tell it to switch to gaming mode and it does instantly. Build quality feels solid and it looks sleek on the desk. For the price this lamp gives serious RGB energy without the crazy cost of full LED strips. If you want that clean background glow for your stream or just to make your setup look pro, this one hits the mark.

The lamp isn’t super bright like a normal lamp, but it’s great for setting the mood or as a night light. It’s also great with smart home stuff like Google Home, so you can tell it what to do with your voice with multiple colors and shades.

Fun Light Show, But Your Music Better Be Bumping
The music sync is genuinely fun, but even on the most sensitive setting you really have to be jamming with some serious volume for it to pick anything up. At my desk with “normal” listening levels, not much is happening—apparently this lamp expects you to party like it’s 1999. I guess you could position it right in front of your desktop speakers, but that seems like turning your desk into a tiny nightclub.You can absolutely use this without ever installing an app by using the buttons on the wired remote, though your options are much more limited to some preset effects. You cycle through them with the M button (no, not music—that’s mode) and the music note button for music effects. It remembers the last effect when you turn it off and back on, which is something I really appreciate. Smart lamp with actual memory? Revolutionary.If you do use the app, you can create all kinds of fancy lighting setups. The configuration is pretty intuitive—you literally paint the effect you want on your phone screen, like Bob Ross meets interior design. It’s surprisingly satisfying to finger-paint your way to the perfect mood lighting.Here’s a handy tip: this works with any Tuya-based app, so if you already have one installed from another smart device, there’s no need to download yet another app that the QR code desperately wants you to install. I happened to have a smart lock with a Tuya-based app, and it promptly found this light. Because apparently my home is slowly becoming a Tuya empire, and I’m oddly okay with that.The lighting effects are genuinely nice, and the design is pleasantly minimalistic—like someone took a UFO and made it desktop-friendly. Just be careful when screwing in the simple foot that holds this up. Tighten it too far and you’ll start pinching the wire, which defeats the whole “smart” part of smart lighting.For a lamp that turns your workspace into a customizable light show without forcing you into app hell, this delivers exactly the kind of modern magic we were promised.

Really disappointed. Annoying base, low light, poor reactivity, line where circle starts
I am really disappointed in this accent light. I have a whole host of things on the Smart Life app and was excited to add this. On the good side it was easy to connect to the app and it turned on. Most of the rest is less than stellar. The base that screws into the circle to keep it upright screws into the light string and never tightens down. It makes it crazy unstable, if you hit the table it falls over, if a strong wind comes through it falls over, if you look at it directly it falls over. It is really frustrating. The white cover on the interior easily pops out of the frame, so I would have to fix it everytime it fell over for any of the other above reasons. I finally set it up in a spot where no human or cat would be anywhere near it for it to fall over. Once lit, it is definitely not very bright at all. If I try to do the reactivity with sound, it only works if it is super loud or right next to it. Lots of color options in the app, but I had to turn it opposite of how I planned because the line where the color starts is super obvious and completely ruins the smooth circle of colors. I have tried to find a way to set the number of leds available so it matches up but was not able to get it properly set. On top of all of that the cost is way to much for what you get. It could have been really cool, but it is not. I do not recommend it.
