Update: Customer support came through with their promise after my original review (see below). The replacement clock has been functioning well with one exception (usb cable connection). The clock syncs well to atomic time within a few minutes of connecting it to power. The display has options of several colors as described and has a few dim/bright options. The dimmest setting for the face display may be a little too bright for some but you do also have the option to go to a blank/dark face. The projection is good with time and indoor/outdoor temps alternately displayed. The temperature sensor seems accurate and the clock was able to pick up the sensor signal on the other side of the house and through several walls. The only negative for this replacement clock is that the usb connection to charge my iPhone doesn’t work well. When connected the phone keeps going back and forth between indicating it is being connected to power and disconnected with the phone beeping every few seconds as a result.Original review: Clock synced to the correct time within a few minutes but everything went downhill from there. None of the buttons were functional so brightness and color could not be adjusted. Temperature display for both indoor and outdoor were incorrect as well. Customer service said they would send a replacement but after almost two weeks of waiting they did not respond to request for tracking for the replacement clock.

awesome alarm clock that is uncomplicated. It does everything it says and the small size is great as well yetstill very visible both in projection and LCD screen.I highly recommend it if looking for a projection clock. the outside and inside temp is very helpuful the way the display rotates.

Edited Review: 3 stars -> 5 starsOk, so based on my original review below after 6y of owning the clock and buying a 2nd clock I was so surprised they sent me an email based on my review and sent me a replacement sensor. The new sensor paired immediately with the clock on Ch 1 and is also the newer model which has a small LCD display on it.Now this is just amazing service honestly. I mean, after so many years, they still supported me this way.I liked their product that this was my 2nd purchase of it. Now I’m going to go ahead and support them and have gotten a couple more folks to buy this product via Amazon simply because this sort of support is just amazing.The sensor is paired and now projecting the outdoor temp again on the night ceiling and I no longer have the “–” after months of this. I can’t tell you how happy it makes me to have things that now work as intended and the little joy it gives you. Thank you SmartPro.Original Review: So I bought this product because honestly there is no other product that is equivalent to it. It can project indoor and outdoor temp (via a remote sensor) and it has multiple colors or turn it off for no glare at night and reversible projection display (red color only) and it works wonderfully.Sadly one day the outdoor sensor just randomly died and stopped functioning. This was after I bought this unit a 2nd time having used it before. The best part was the outdoor temp honestly.Also the main LCD display got all weird but as long as it projects I’m good with it.Still will likely buy it again for the 3rd time simply for the nice indoor + outdoor temp cycle and excellent wall projection of time. Very useful at night. Shockingly I don’t see other products that can do this.

Great projection clock, but inaccurate outdoor sensor
Bought this projector clock to replace an older LaCrosse one that stopped working (you realize just how useful projection clocks are when you’ve had one, and then you don’t!). I like that the time dominates the display and you don’t have to hunt amongst a sea of numbers like some of the weather station clocks. The changing colors and multi-step illumination is a nice feature to tune how bright it is in a dark room. The overall size if great for a bedside, and the build quality is good. Projection is clear and easy to read, although doesn’t have adjustable brightness. All round, a worthy replacement that I would highly recommend.BUT … my biggest reason for not giving 5-stars is the significant discrepancy in temperature reading between the indoor and outdoor sensors. When both are placed beside each other and left to settle, the outdoor one always reads at least 2-3F lower than the indoor sensor in the clock. The clock is correct since it reads about the same as other thermometers places beside it. This makes the outdoor sensor all but useless.

Perfect for What I Wanted
I wanted a clock that shows on the ceiling at night, while not using the clock face. I have been using this type of clock for years, but this is the best one I have ever used. This clock shows the time & inside & outside temps on the ceiling very clearly at night. During the day it is harder to see, but I have a wall clock for day. The screen was a little bright for night time, so I was able to turn it totally off. It is very easy to program and is half the size of other alarm clocks so it doesn’t take up a lot of space on the nightstand. The temperature monitors are very accurate. I tested it with another thermometer. I I will be buying more of these for other bedrooms in my house.
