SwitchBot Smart RGBICWW Floor Lamp — Bright, Fun, and Surprisingly Versatile Smart Lighting
I’ve spent some time with this SwitchBot smart floor lamp, and overall it’s been a solid addition to my living space, especially if you enjoy playing with lighting moods or decorating for the holidays.The first thing that stands out is the brightness. At full power, it’s easily bright enough to light a room, not just serve as accent lighting. The white light in particular is excellent as a work light, with a wide and genuinely useful range from warm, cozy tones to crisp, cool white when you need something more energizing. The RGB colors are vivid and evenly distributed, and the gradient effects look better in person than I expected, especially for Christmas or party setups.Assembly was straightforward and better thought-out than I anticipated. The lamp includes different size screws depending on whether you plan to mount it vertically or horizontally, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that extra hardware is included if a horizontal placement is desired. The silicone components fit perfectly, and the fact that a screwdriver is included makes setup easier without having to hunt for tools. That said, the lamp is a little shorter than I expected, which isn’t a dealbreaker but is worth noting depending on where you plan to place it.Smart home support is one of its strong points. Once configured, voice control through Alexa, Apple Home, or Google works reliably, and app control is responsive. Matter support is a welcome addition and helps future-proof the lamp. It’s also nice that a separate SwitchBot Hub isn’t required for Matter pairing, although you do need some form of Matter-capable router or controller on your network.Where the limitations show up is in the advanced lighting features. While Matter works well for basic on/off, brightness, and color control, the more elaborate color effects and scenes remain exclusive to the SwitchBot app. Those fancier lighting options don’t currently carry over to HomeKit or Home Assistant, which is worth keeping in mind if you primarily control your smart home through those platforms.Design-wise, it’s clean and minimal, fitting nicely into a corner without drawing attention when it’s off. It feels solid enough for the price, though it doesn’t aim to be a high-end designer piece.All things considered, this is a very capable smart floor lamp that balances brightness, color effects, and smart features well. It works equally well as an everyday light and as a statement piece during holidays or special occasions, with thoughtful hardware touches that make setup easier than expected. The only real wish-list item is deeper ecosystem integration—specifically, the ability to sync compatible SwitchBot lights to run the same dynamic effects simultaneously across multiple products.

Versatile Lamp with Vivid Colors and Home Assistant Integration
This lamp works great and produces vibrant colors that are comfortable for both reading and relaxing.I loved the option to mount it vertically, but the included hanging hardware feels a bit bulky, so I decided to use it as a standing lamp for now.There is an option to operate it with a physical remote, but since it’s wired, the official Home Assistant integration was very valuable for me. I was able to link a Zigbee button and control it without any issues.Besides standard lighting, the various light modes are a fun touch – syncing the light to game sounds from the console or to music was a highlight. But to be honest, I think I’ll stick with the warm light for 95% of my use :)P.S. Keep in mind that the assembly instructions in the box may not be very clear. I recommend watching the official video instructions, which are very straightforward.

Easy build. Okay Matter functionality. Great app functionality!
Update:It works well enough through HomeKit, but if you use the app, the functionality is very impressive with what it can do. The White light is perfect for working in a darker room all day without eye strain from direct lighting.Previous:Matter setup was so-so. Did not work at first, had to factory reset then it decided to work. Seems like you can only set up matter through the app which is annoying.It’s a fine product for the price and provides decent ambient light. Build quality is good and assembly was easy.

Fantastic smart light, great app + integration!
This has been a fantastic addition to my smart home lighting setup – really anything from Switchbot is solid. It’s bright enough to light a living room or bedroom on its own, but can just as easily be dialed down for softer lighting. Pretty easy to set-up and Matter support is fantastic. I’ve moved it around the house a bit to find the best spot and might actually end up buying another one! It’s pretty slim so it fits in most corners. Voice / App functionality is also awesome. Overall, highly reccomend this!

Great value for the money!
This lamp was very simple to assemble and set up with the SwitchBot app. I was impressed that it comes with both the vertical base as well as horizontal wall mounts, so you have both options. The construction is solid with a metal tube and base/mounts, and the lights are embedded in silicon so it won’t get scratched or broken. I am also pleased that it supports Matter for integration with Apple Home, Home Assistant, etc.The app provides a lot of control over the brightness and color settings. The animations, at least for my taste, were too distracting to use, aside from the setting that syncs the light to the music you are playing on your phone.The one disappointment I had, which is holding me back from 5 stars, is that the non-animating options are just a solid color. All the product photos show cool looking color gradients, but I think those are just snapshots of an animating effect. I didn’t see any way to set more than one color without an animating effect, but perhaps I missed it.Update 2025-11-1:The newest version of the app and firmware have added the ability to color the lamp by LED segment, so you can create a multi-color look without animations. Nice! With that feature, I have raised my review to 5 stars – love it!

Great theatre-like upgrade for my room!
Love this! I should have bought two so I could have them standing on either side of my tv but having bought only one I decided instead to put it under my couch and create atmospheric lighting. Coupled with the strip light, this has allowed me to turn my room into a theatre. So great. Couldn’t be happier with it.Build quality is good enough, set up is easy, and I like how there are multiple ways you can install it. The size and stability give it a really different set of uses vs a strip light. And of course, it fits into the Switchbot ecosystem and is matter enabled. I can use the motion sensors to turn this on when we come in the room and turn it off when we leave. Very happy with this.

Il montaggio è stato semplice, seguendo passo passo le istruzioni fornite.Uno dei punti di forza è senza dubbio il supporto a Matter, che permette l’integrazione con praticamente qualsiasi sistema domotico. L’ho collegato senza difficoltà a Home Assistant e funziona in modo stabile, senza disconnessioni o ritardi nei comandi.La luce è molto gradevole e completamente personalizzabile: intensità e tonalità si regolano facilmente e permettono di creare l’atmosfera giusta in base al momento della giornata. I colori sono piacevoli e uniformi, niente di artificiale.Per ora si è comportato esattamente come speravo, lo ricomprerei senza problemi.

The SwitchBot RGBICWW Floor Lamp offers impressive value for money with a large, bright light output and addressable LED segments that create vivid, dynamic lighting effects. It looks great in the corner of a room and works seamlessly with Matter, making it easy to integrate into any smart home setup.Assembly was straightforward, and the included screwdriver was a thoughtful touch. My only small challenge was tucking the cable neatly into the base, but once it’s assembled, the lamp feels sturdy and visually clean.There are a few things that could make this lamp even better: smoother dimming transitions, more built-in lighting presets, and ideally an option to schedule colour temperature changes automatically throughout the day. The inline controller on the cable isn’t something I use often, so a small wireless remote would be a fantastic addition.Overall, this lamp delivers excellent ambience and smart home compatibility at a very competitive price. A great choice for anyone wanting modern, colourful lighting with minimal setup.

I was pleasantly surprised by how easy the SwitchBot Floor Lamp is to assemble. Everything goes together quickly, and the app is just as simple to use. The interface is clean, responsive, and the Matter integration with Apple HomeKit works perfectly, making automations and control effortless.I use it as ambient lighting under my TV on my media console, and it creates a really nice atmosphere in the room. I also love that SwitchBot includes wall-mounting clips, which makes it easy to install the lamp in different setups depending on your space.The only downside is the physical remote, which feels a bit basic and not as high-quality as premium competitors. However, this doesn’t really affect me since I mainly use my phone and automations to control the lamp.For the price, it’s an excellent purchase, and I highly recommend it!
