Great unit, be careful when installing
super responsive and easy to install, the finger print function is quick and easy. The unit is very sturdy. Just watch out for when you install the cable to the battery, the pin can be easily bent and you will not be able to plug it in. I had to use tweezers to straighten the connectors which is like 1mm high.

Great quality!!
Very good door knob. Its Great quality, biometric scanner works very well. Love that everything is set up and operated by the app. The setup directions for bluetoothing could be a little more detailed though. Definitely recommend this door knob.

I had searched for a good smart door snob for a while without success. most of the locks are dead bolt and the other knobs left a lot to be desired. This particular lock is just what I was looking for. It is easy to install and program with both pin numbers and fingerprints. It’s a bit large but aesthetically pleasing. A huge benefit is that it sustains a long battery life.

Make sure you keep a spare key hidden just in case
Lock works great. Paired easily with the app and haven’t had any issues with it. It works so well I locked myself out twice. well worth the money and it took me no time to install.

Solid looking, appears to work well, Confusing app, below average audio/visual feedback.
Lock appears solid, a bit loose on the inside, and a bit larger than I thought, Confusing setup, The app is even more confusing, not intuitive or easy to navigate when setting up users with different PINS and Fingerprints. Volume is set on high in the app and is barely audible. I suggest carrying a key for the first month or so until you figure out how to permanently save PINs and Fingerprints. May need to enter PIN twice, as you need to ‘wake it up’ by pressing the keypad to light it up, ready for PIN entry, however, sometimes difficult to tell when the keypad is lit up and ready to accept a PIN code. I would suggest a brighter keypad display light in brightly lit areas. I would also suggest some sort of visual indication on the inside knob to indicate if the lock is enabled or allows passthru instead of having to physically open the door to check or digging thru your app for status. One suggestion to make a door even more secure is to provide tru wifi for remote access instead of blutooth only, and, a door postion sensor, which should be an option for ALL real smart locks to indicate a complete, secure status of the door when you are away or not around the property.

I have a couple of smart locks I can’t imagine not having one. I particularly like this smart knob by TCL. Once I tried this TCL K1 Smart Fingerprint Knob Lock I was impressed by the advantages this lock offers:PROS:- lot of options for opening the lock: fingerprints (up to 100), code using the number pad, 2 physical keys, or the app- it can store up to 100 fingerprints allowing multi user access, or even single time use access- fingerprints unlock in 0.3 seconds and it uses AI to enhance its ability to respond over time to minimize misreads and not opening- easy to install especially if you have installed a doorknob before, but great instructions included if you haven’t- installs quickly- solid construction – made of aircraft aluminum with a brushed nickel finish- IP53 rating so tolerates dust and light water splashes so could be used on a shed or garage- uses TCL’s Smart Life (Tuya) app which is quick to set up and user friendly- uses 4 AAA batteries that last up to 12 months and they are easy to replace and minimal cost- can use a power bank to temporarily power the lock and open the door if the batteries die- can set the lock to “passage” from the inside side so that people can freely come and go until you turn it off- easy to set up or delete codes and fingerprints so perfect for ensuring only those who should have access get in- made by TCL a trusted name in electronics- affordable and good value for the price, features, and securityCONS:- not intended to be used below minus ten degrees which basically eliminates outdoor use in most of Canada- designed primarily for bedrooms, offices- a bit on the bulky side and not the most sleek and attractive door knob but it is really well built- proper and consistent finger placement is necessary for the best reading of fingerprints to prevent misreadsOverall this smart door knob has impressed me with its reliability and how quickly it scans my fingerprint. I love not having to carry keys when I leave. Great value for all the options for opening the lock and the reliability inherent in the TCL name.

I love the design of this knob lock by TCL. The K1 Smart fingerprint lock also can be controlled via the Tuya App and includes privacy and passage mode keyless entry for indoor use. This is great for your home office, or your office door at work. It would also be a great lock to use for your apartment Condominium entryway as well as maybe a storage locker with a door that uses a door knob to open. The lock will grant access within 0.3 seconds, provides 100% security and has built in AI learning. Using the passage mode allows you to keep the door unlocked which is great if you are hosting a family gathering at your home and cannot always be at the door to welcome your guests in individually. The privacy mode allows only registered fingerprints, a passcode or back up keys will grant you access to the area behind the door. This is great to control who and when they can enter certain areas. It uses 4 AAA batteries to operate which should last 8 months with regular usage. That being said, if you are like me, your batteries may not last as long as I use rechargeable batteries to save on money as well as the environment. Rechargeable batteries tend not to hold as much power as a traditional alkaline battery does however, the lock will let you know that your batteries are getting low and you will always have the back up key to gain entry in an absolute emergency. It is easy to install, it took me about 20 minutes to do so but if you are unfamiliar with installing door knobs or want to ensure that it is done correctly, you can hire a professional locksmith who will be able to do the installation quickly and explain how to use the door knob to you. I highly recommend.

I have a number of TCL smart locks and I’ve always been pleased with them, so I jumped at the opportunity to try this out. Installation was simple and relatively quick — the instructions are clear and the lock can fit various sizes of doors.Getting it paired with the Tuya app was also simple, but a source of frustration for me: my other TCL locks use the TCL app, so it’s frustrating that this one uses a different app. It would be nice to have everything centralized. The build quality of the lock is good and it feels good and sturdy once installed. I don’t love the design of the handle and I wish they offered it in different colours, but this is, of course, subjective. It was easy to set up users, pin codes, and fingerprints in the app, and the lock is quick to read a fingerprint and unlock the door.I like the privacy mode. If you just want to be left alone for a while, you can enable it, and it will prevent others from unlocking the door. Great for getting away from my kids for a bit (I have it on my home office door).Overall, it’s a good quality lock. I just think they need to improve the app situation.

I got this smart door knob for my house and heres what i think about itWhen i first opened the package, i noticed that its not really the same size of a regular door knob and is actually quite smallerI also noticed how it came with 2 keys which at first i was like why would you need to keys for a smart door knobIt was quite easy to install if you know what you’re doing and i like the different features you can use and do with this smart door knobYou can use your fingerprints, a code, the keys, or even the TCL app which i like. It doesnt have any issues or malfunctions and this door knob seems very efficient and durableI recommend you get this smart door knob if you are looking for a good smart door knob for your house or doors

Not super confident that this thing is going to work for the long term. Was really fudgy for a while, as the knob would still open sometimes even while locked. Although after a bunch of repeated lock/unlocks and twists, it seems to work Ok now. Still doesn’t feel secure. The passage on/off and auto lock functions don’t seem to consistently work as they’re supposed to. Maybe a reset will re-align the chakras. The interior knob feels loose, the way it clips in is not great. The wire connection to the interior battery is small, it’s not super clear which way it’s supposed to go, and it also feels fragile. Might not survive a relocation to a different door. This should come with four rechargeable aaa batteries, none are included. The knob is ugly, but I can’t hold that against them as I saw the picture. The biggest problem with this knob is that it’s not recommended for temps below -10c. Didn’t know that until I was installing and reading the printed instructions. I live about as far south in Canada as possible, but even here it gets colder than that. Not sure if this isn’t truly intended to be an exterior knob or whatnot, but it would also be a little over the top for an interior knob. So here’s to a test. We will see how it fares outdoors this winter. Will update if needed.
