Good for a gate for low security , can be cracked in 30 min
UPDATE : The dead button bottom left serves a purpose. It is to keep the lock on “Open” mode. If pressed with the code, the latch remains unlocked until canceled -a helpful feature.Ok- so one button is dead (not functional) which means code is easier to crack. The code can be pressed in any order which means code is easier to crackThe set is $50 ,compared to other sets $400-500 is good valueWe use it on our gate to keep kids out of yard and from falling in our pool. Should be sufficient for that purposeIt’s a good gate lock but not for high security applications as the code can be cracked (only about 400 possibilities so can be cracked in 30 min if each entry takes 5 seconds. )

Still ticking!
Got this for an exterior gate. So I read the reviews and realized that all the bad reviews were mostly about instructions and fitment. Yeah, instructions are horrible. If you have ever installed a door knob, then you don’t need the instructions. The code set is very straightforward. It comes blank and you just turn the screw on the digit you want as a code. 1234, 2143, 4321 1432, etc are all the same code. Its mechanical and not in sequence. Yes, doors are all different thicknesses and it comes with 4 different length shafts to try to accommodate most. If your door falls in between sizes, you can either return it, leave a bad review and get back to your latte or you can pick up a hack saw and trim a little off the closest shaft size. My handle has gone through rain and my gate swelling and getting stuck against the jambs where I have to really pull on the handle to get it open. It is still solid. I am very happy with this and glad I no longer have to replace batteries.

Save Yourself the Headache and Buy a Better Quality Lock
Garbage. I don’t recommend. Would not unlock randomly 2 months after install. C button did nothing. Took apart and realized the shitty tiny springs system on the inside of the buttons. Getting them back in was a total chore because if you don’t hold them inplace they pop out and fly across the room. Then the lock worked for a while then failed completely again while I was out of town stranding the poor dogsitter. As far as I can tell both times when it failed it was hot days. Why the heat would affect the C button from resetting is beyond my understanding but it is unacceptable in a daily use object. I have only had this lock for 5 months.but it is going in the trash. Another thing I forgot to mention was that the small threaded bolts that hold the two sides together were too long for my door and I had to cut them to fit then one of them got stuck in the sleeve you are supposed to screw it into, permanently. Just all around a piece of junk. Stay away.

VEVOR Entry Door Lock with Handle stands out for the efficiency, quality and price
The VEVOR Mechanical Keyless Entry Door Lock with Handle is a compelling option for those seeking a simple, secure, very affordable price and weather-resistant solution for their outdoor entryways.*Efficiency: Simplicity is KeyOne of the VEVOR lock’s most significant strengths is its mechanical design. Unlike smart or electronic locks, this product is completely self-sufficient. There are no batteries to replace, no wires to run, and no complex programming.* No Power, No Problem: The purely mechanical nature means it’s always ready to use. You’ll never be locked out due to a dead battery, which is a major concern with electronic keypads, especially for outdoor gates or sheds in remote locations.* Easy Code Management: Setting and changing the combination is straightforward, typically requiring just a screwdriver. This allows for quick adjustments to security, whether you’re giving temporary access to a contractor or a guest.* Simple Operation: The 14-key keypad is easy to use, and the lock automatically engages when the door is closed, providing a sense of security without a second thought. For times when the door needs to remain unlocked, such as for a party or moving furniture, a “hold-open” mode is a convenient feature.*Performance in Rain: Built to EndureVEVOR has designed this lock with outdoor use in mind, and its construction speaks to its durability in harsh weather, including rain, I live in Florida so rains daily can happens easy.* Waterproof and Rust-Resistant: The lock is made from a robust zinc alloy and coated with a corrosion-resistant, electroplated layer. This is specifically designed to make it waterproof and rust-proof.* Weather-Resistant by Design: The product is marketed as being able to withstand various weather conditions, from freezing winters to scorching summers and, most importantly, rainy days. This means you can rely on it to function properly without the risk of internal components failing due to moisture.* Outdoor Applications: The “water-proof” and “extensive weather resistance” claims are supported by the fact that the lock is heavily promoted for use on outdoor gates, garages, sheds, and yards. User reviews also suggest it holds up well in these environments.

Really excited to share this review with everyone
I’ve been using the VEVOR mechanical keyless lock and overall it performs really well. The build quality is solid—heavy metal construction, no cheap parts, and it feels durable enough for long-term use. Installation is straightforward if you’re comfortable with basic tools, though it may take a little adjusting to get the deadbolt lined up perfectly. The best part is that it’s 100% mechanical, so there are no batteries, no wiring, and no risk of the lock failing because the power died. The mechanical keypad works smoothly, and the buttons feel firm and reliable. Once the code is set, unlocking is quick.A few minor downsides:• Changing the passcode requires removing the lock from the door. Not difficult, but not as convenient as electronic models.
