You can have it loop any colors at any intervals
This thing is truly awesome. Our master bathroom has a “ under the sea” theme, so I’ve been trying to rotate out the default, warm lights that were in there. This light does everything I needed to to give the ambience that we’re looking for. It connects to Wi-Fi, using the Smart life app, and you can give it different “programs” or lighting patterns that can be either pre-chosen or edited. For our bathroom, I found one that was close to what I was looking for, but then edited it to make it show mostly dark blue light with a few seconds of purple and turquoise, with a breathing style pattern, so it has the feeling of the sun shining down through deep water With sea life, reflecting off the sun rays.It would be easy to do the same with any other kind of setting. I may get more of these lights for my other themed rooms, such as outer space, strawberry crates, and honeybee hives. It can do whatever colors you program it to do, and it’ll keep doing that set of colors until you tell it otherwise on your phone. You don’t have to have the app open in order for it to continue doing what it’s been programmed to do – – just to change the program it’s currently operating on.Very highly recommended!

Let there be light
This westgate smart bulb works great. I had a little trouble getting it to connect to the app but once I did it was smooth. It works well, changes colors, I am able to shut it off from my phone and set a scheduled timer on it. It provides ample light and has worked well for the past few months. Very happy with it.

Great smart bulb.
Got this bulb for the living room, it’s way brighter than I thought! White’s the brightest, the other colors are softer but still great for setting the mood. Super easy to set up with the Westgate app, and it all works perfectly. The only downside is the Westgate app isn’t on Alexa, so you have to use something like “Smart Life” to get it working with Alexa. Otherwise, it’s a steal; just wish it connected to Alexa easier.Update: the westgate app alexa skill finally works, so it’s a solid 5 stars now—that was the only reason I gave it 4 before.

Great potential, but way too hard to set up
✘ The bulb turns on, but won’t connect✘ The setup process is confusing and frustrating✘ Requires a separate app and a new account✘ Gave up after an hour of troubleshooting✘ It would be much better with direct Alexa or iOS integrationI’m sure this bulb works great once it’s fully set up, but I couldn’t get that far. It lit up and entered pairing mode just fine, but after downloading the app and creating yet another account, I couldn’t get it to connect. I tried for over an hour, reading the manual, watching YouTube videos, and going through the in-app steps, and still no luck. I finally gave up. I really wish products like this would tap into either the iOS Home app or Alexa directly, so you don’t have to install a different app for every device you own. It just makes the whole experience way more complicated than it should be.

A Rare Find for a Very Specific Need – and It Delivered!
It’s hard enough finding a spotlight bulb small enough to fit inside the microphone of my “red lady” sculpture — and trust me, I’ve tried a few. This Westgate Smart RGBW PAR20 bulb was a perfect fit, and more importantly, it actually performed beautifully.I shot the attached video of the sculpture during midday in a bright, sunlit room — the kind of lighting that usually washes out anything subtle. But this little bulb held its own. The colors popped, the brightness cut through the ambient light, and it made my artistic setup look more polished than ever.Setup was a breeze. I downloaded the Westgate (WG) app, registered the bulb, and had it synced with Alexa in no time. Cha Ching these wesgate lightbulbs are NOT cheap…so that deducts 1 star in my bookAnd really how do you review a lightbulb?how long it lasts – well that will take a long time to get to a review so no.The description sounds good and I guess unless something doesn’t work that takes off more stars then it’s as described until you know otherwise…Seems a bit complicated with those instructions.One thing that I find tricky is all these smart items have their own apps – my phone is overloaded with apps.but at least if they work with google home or alexa it does make it easiereasier that is once you have it set up…
