Installs easily and configures into security system for automated controls. Super loud.
Integrated into my security system easily, and I was able to configure it in with the number of automation and smart commands. I use the siren inside my house in my bedroom where if a security alarm is triggered, I will be sure to hear it.

Good, loud siren and esphome compatible with modification
Compact size and very loud. Had to muffle it against my stomach so I didn’t wake the family while testing in the basement.I only try and purchase items I can either use with esphome/tasmota or libretiny on to use local api in home assistant. Wasn’t able to get libretiny to work for this but was able to put esphome on a blank 8266 and replace the cb3s that was on mine. With esphome on it I can easily select any of the 32 tones and cycle thru the 3 volume levels in home assistant. One thing I noticed with the timeout is that number only applies if you turn the switch on without changing the tone. If you change the tone it will complete the tone even if the timeout is set low. Example, timeout is set to 3 seconds, you switch from tone A to tone B. Tone B will play out in its entirety. If you then hit the switch to turn it on again, it’ll stop after 3 seconds.Haven’t setup any automations yet but given I can freely select any of the tones, I don’t think I’ll have issues using different tones for different situations

Not worth the money spent-Comprehensive review
Let me start this review by saying that I really really really did try to make this thing work.First of all, I like the small compact and simple nature of this. I recently replaced my 25 year-old alarm system with a DIY system that is LinkedIn to Alexa and SmartThings by Samsung. I bought this because the speaker should have worked however I discovered a number of things that made me want to MacGyver this speaker siren and try to make it work no matter what. I generally enjoy the challenge of trying to make something work when it’s more difficult for others and others tend to give up first.I will start off by saying that I am an IT person, with a seasoned amount of experience, and have a fair amount of knowledge of home automation, networking, and coding, as well as some electronics capability.First, the pros or positives: The speaker was small and compact, which made it easy to blend in. If I were to hang it in the hallway outside the closet where the alarm system was. The alarm system I replaced my old one with does not have a speaker and I wanted to have the sound of being able to arm and disarm with an audio cue when I armed and disarmed by my tablet which replaced the keypad. In doing everything that it took to try and make this work, you should first realize that the assumption is that Samsung SmartThings and Alexa have a two way communication with devices. That is not the case. It is one way, from Samsung to Alexa not into Samsung. If they did that I could easily make this work. This siren speaker does not work in any way shape or form with Samsung smart things. The instruction book was very simple and almost abbreviated, and it looked like this would have worked with Zigby or Z wave so I bought a hub to make that work since the Wi-Fi component did not work with Samsung SmartThings by itself. The alarm system and many of the other devices, talk to Samsung, and I use Alexa for voice control. The routines and Samsung are a little bit more robust and also give a developer interface when you need to do special things. That said, it basically means that I can add this device to Alexa however, I have not enough coding in the routines available on Alexa to give myself a four second sound to disarm, or a one minute sound to arm. The arming of the alarm system happens in SmartThings And that component doesn’t have an ability to talk to this device so the solution is to use virtual switches, virtual sensors or virtual lock. Devices that act as a proxy to make the sound. Alexa seems to be limited and can only see a virtual lock and the way to get these virtual devices to trigger another one so that the other platform sees the status whether it’s on or Off Was a challenge that proved nearly impossible to complete. I like my automation platforms and the routines I have built and the tablet I have built so I will find another audio option..At this point I have given up and will end up having to spend $80 instead of $20 to get the audio sounds that I need. I’m very disappointed because I was hopeful and have been able to use virtual switches to trigger devices between the two systems so that they could see each other. However, being the disc doesn’t even see the Samsung automation it’s going to be very difficult and I don’t want to have to draw a diagram to make myself remember how this was set up when I need to modify a routine later. If you need a cheap speaker that does about 30 sounds then that’s fine, but even the sounds were cheap and almost cartoonish. I’m not very impressed with this and will be returning it.

    Easy alarm solution
I paired this up with smart things. I built automation to use anything thing I need to be alerted to such as high water or sample alarms

    Chime, not a Siren
Setup was easy but the product is more like a chime than a siren. You are limited to 5 preinstalled tones. Of the tones none were very siren like. I was expecting something along the lines of the tone of a tornado siren or smoke alarm. The loudness was fine, but the tones were limited and not accurate for an expectation of an item titled a siren. This item would make an excellent addition for a smart doorbell.

No AC adapter. Notifications require paid subscription
Does not include an AC adapter; only a USB-C cable. Phone or SMS notifications require rather expensive additional subscriptions. Complicated menu path to use it as a panic alarm. I was hoping to just have a simple, quickly accessible On/Off through Smart Life. The ON switch is 3 layers deep in the device’s settings.

    Price and performance are good
Very small but also very loud. It functions for what I needed it to do. However, the app that you use to set it up is not very intuitive and seems like it is a beta release. Needs some polishing up.
