Works perfect for my use, with Front Point alarm
I need a siren for my home alarm that I could hear around the house, I tried so many z wave sirens I got tired of those bring bad. So I bought this, an AC to DC 12 volt wall wart that had terminals on it, a Honeywell zwave wall outlet plug, and since wire. Honestly, all of this was cheaper then any purpose built zwave siren. But I have it set up, a rule in my alarm panel to turn on the outlet anytime a burglar event is triggered, and shut off when cleared. And this works perfect. And extremely loud. Now I can hear my alarm in my basement office, and it will actually wake me up if something happens while I am sleeping. And hopefully make the intruder leave.

Very loud for a vehicle.
Perfect and loud

Good for the price, but definitely not 120db
Bought two of them for an alarm system. They work well and are mounted outdoors and resistant to the rain/weather. The marketing rates them at 120db output, that is a complete LIE. They are probably closer to 85 or 90db. Loud, but not piercing. I wish they were louder, but for the price, it’s still a good deal.

WAKES ME UP!
This is part of a power-outage and sump well alarm system in my basement. My other water sensor alarm just didn’t have enough volume to be heard much higher than one floor up if you were awake; I needed something to wake me from a sound sleep three floors up. The system runs on a 12VDC power supply made of 8 D-cells; it operates the siren if the house power goes out or if the water in the sump well gets too high because of a pump failure. I didn’t really know what sound to expect when I bought it, and I was pleasantly surprised to hear the high-low whoop-whoop (each high-low cycle lasts about a second, so it’s startling and LOUD!) Very happy with product, extreme value for the money.

House Siren
I used this, along with a 12V DC wall adapter, DC5525 barrel jack to screw terminal adaptor, and smart plug to make a House Siren that can be triggered by home automation or by me at sheer whim. Highly recommended. If you have trouble waking up for alarm clocks and you REALLY REALLY need to get up on time, this might also be the solution for you (you can substitute an old-school outlet timer for the smart plug if you’re trying to stay off the grid). This is also a way you can add an improved alarm to some of those chintzy home security systems that you can just buy in a box, if they have home automation integration. If your system can toggle a smart outlet when an alarm is triggered, you’re in business. These things are dangerously loud at arm’s length. I couldn’t find my SPL meter, but they’re Loud Enough. Be careful.

DOES NOT WORK
OPENED UP THE PACKAGE, INSTALLED IT AND IT DIDN’T MAKE A SOUND. RECHECKED THE CONNECTION AND MADE SURE OF THE GROUND AND THE FUSABLE POWER SUPPLY WHICH WAS ALL GOOD. DEFECTIVE PRODUCT. REACHED OUT TO AMAZON AND THEY AGREED TO REFUND OR REPLACE THE ITEM. WENT WITH A REPLACEMENT SO I WILL TRY AGAIN. I’LL WRITE A NEW REVIEW WHEN MY SYSTEM IS OPERATIONAL.

Simple to use but needs adaptor.

It’s loud enough. I use it in stored vehicles with a timer to ward off rodents. It lasted about four months, operating for 10 to 15 seconds every 90 seconds.
