Excellent product item exactly as pictured
Love the look of this small but mighty product. Setup was fast and easy. When you purchase the system without subscription you will not have full alarm functionality only chimes with text or email notifications. During the set up you should receive a notice that an email can be sent regarding service plans. Make sure you activate service through that email so you don’t have to purchase unnecessary or duplicate products. I recommend this product for studio apartments or smaller homes. I also like the male voice announcements with full functionality. Awesome product.

    Great alarm system
This kit integrates well into the Wyze home network. The monitoring prices are reasonable. We already set off the alarm and I can tell you this company contacts you faster than any other company I have ever had contact me for alarm monitoring. I also added a bunch of other door/window sensors with this unit, and had no problem programing everything per the instructions. Just make sure you are connecting to a 2.4Ghz network. This system also integrates properly with Alexa or Google, and we have had no problems with that. I would definitely recommend this alarm system to anyone looking for one.

Have several placed throughout the house and garage in areas where water might infiltrate.
Good extension to the Wyze ecosystem. Have several placed throughout the house and garage in areas where water might infiltrate. Decent sound level when they go off. Easy to add using the Wyze app.

Everything constantly goes offline, all sensors shipped with dead batteries
Temperature Sensors Review:They work but they ALWAYS ship with dead batteries. And what makes this worse is the app will send you literally hundreds of notifications, REPEATEDLY telling you the batteries are low. It’s like there’s a bug in the notification system that every time the temperature sensor updates, it sees that the battery is low, and sends a notification to tell you. But when it updates the sensor every 30 seconds to a minute, you’re getting a notification about a low battery INCESSANTLY and there is absolutely no way to turn it off without completely disabling all notifications. So when the battery gets low and you’re not standing right there to replace it immediately, I now can no longer get important notifications that I want because they’re hidden in a mass of low battery alerts. Please for the love of god fix this and start shipping your sensors with batteries that are not already dead, or just be honest and tell the user that batteries are not included because I would much prefer to not have batteries then it ship with batteries that are going to die literally 2 days after you install the sensors.UPDATE: I fixed it and it’s so stupid. I disconnected the internal battery so that way when my internet glitches for more than a few seconds, and this stupid hub goes offline and NEVER comes back, I can just unplug it and it reboots and comes back online instead of waiting for the battery to die or reset/re-add it to my account. So I’m now powering this thing with a PoE to USB power adapter so I can cycle PoE to the port it’s plugged into and get it to come back online. Absolutely ridiculous that I have to go to such an extent to get this thing to work but at least it now works… sorta. It was great for the first month or two that I had it, however the whole system is going completely offline now that I am fully invested in sensors and switches and stuff. I have tried both Wi-Fi and hardwired connections, and I can confirm that the internet is fully functional. However, everything continues to remain offline. The only way to fix it is to reset the hub and reconnect it to my network and it is infuriating because it always happens when I am not physically there so I no longer have a security system or any way to monitor what is happening at my home. I now have a pile of sensors and a hub that is now worthless to me and its outside the return window.

    Reliable, good sensitivity, some quirks
I’ve been using several of these motion sensors throughout my home for a few months now. I’m satisfied with their performance, outside of a few minor quirks.Installation is straightforward thanks to the included mounting plate, which allows for either screws or adhesive pads, both included. The sensor is slightly bulkier than I would like and is stark white and glossy. This might be very aesthetically objectionable in some environments. I am not a fancy man, and my house is not the house of a fancy man, so in my case it blends in fine with my general “plastic garbage” theme. In terms of sensitivity, I did experience some inconsistency across different units. One sensor I bought seemed relatively “blind” compared to the others and was exchanged. It’s worth mentioning that there is a sensitivity adjustment in the app under the device settings, which is not easy to find and isn’t mentioned clearly in the instructions. It also doesn’t take effect immediately, and occasionally silently fails to update at all, so some patience and tweaking are required. It defaults to Medium. I’ve had the best results just setting all my sensors to High sensitivity. You may wish to mount the sensors temporarily e.g. with weak double-sided tape to test them before using screws or the provided semipermanent adhesive pads, because it can be non-obvious where to put the sensor for the best observation of the desired area. The horizontal angle of view is pretty wide and is not hard to figure out, but the vertical angle of view can be an issue (at the recommended mounting height of 7ft, people passing nearby directly under the sensor can sometimes avoid detection), and there seems to be an optimal range of working distance (the best sensitivity is at a distance of around 9ft, in my experience, with detection becoming slightly spottier as you get closer or farther away). In one room, I have two sensors where I now realize I could have just used one, because I couldn’t properly visualize the sensors’ field of view until I had mounted and used a few of them. The sensors are pretty good at ignoring pets (my cats don’t set them off) and rejecting other spurious motion (I have one in a bedroom that is not triggered by me moving around in bed, but does trigger the moment I get up), but they can sometimes miss larger objects, especially if they’re too close, too far, or moving too quickly. One big improvement over the previous generation Wyze Sense motion sensor is the switch to standard AAA batteries, which are much easier to replace compared to the old version’s unusual type of coin cell. The connection reliability has also been rock-solid; I haven’t experienced any dropouts or pairing issues. The pairing process is seamless, and once connected, these sensors stay connected.Being battery-powered, they seem to operate in “bursts” to conserve energy (something like only being active for a third of a second every second). This can occasionally introduce a slight delay in detection, and in rare cases, a person might pass the sensor without triggering it if the timing is just right and they’re super fast.Overall, this is a reliable and effective home monitoring motion sensor, with just a few areas for improvement.

Recomendado👍🏼

Installed the system, wyze makes no secret that this isn’t meant for Canada. I wasn’t interested in the monitoring (the component not available here) I just want a security system for my house (if monitoring becomes available here in the future that’s great)When setting up, it will recognize a Canadian address but errors with the post code, must enter an American zip code (I used 90210, my go to zip code)Remember to keep your system in test mode (works normally but won’t attempt to dial emergency services)Happy so far and feel safer knowing we are protected when home or away
