Plastic is a little thinner that i expected. Worked ok but mounting is not very forgiving. Need to hit the mounting holes exactly or the box will not sit plumb.

My family constantly fiddled with the thermostat. One moment too hot, next too cold. Up, down, wup, down. I got tired of it and bought this two-fer pair. Easy and quick to attach to a home wall to lock the access to a thermostat. Four holes in the drywall to hold it in place, and you’re done.DOWNSIDE:1. To change the temperature, you need the key to open the box—unless, of course, you have a thermostat that is accessible online through a wifi link [like me].2. Although made of clear plastic, they are evident to a guest— who might wonder why this place needs to secure its thermostats. [ANS: when house guests are visiting, I just unlock the box.]
