Working Principle:
The light automatically turns on when illumination falls below 15 lux and motion is detected within the sensing range (3–5 m). It will switch off after 30 seconds and then reset and wait for the next activation cycle. This function operates only at night or in low-light conditions.
Note: The 30-second lighting duration is fixed and cannot be adjusted. Once the light turns off, the motion sensor must be re-triggered to activate again.

Motion detector for security on hall lights
Works on exterior or interior lights where hidden motion detector is needed. No motion no light, if anyone goes in the motion path the lights come on. Nice

Great item and good deal!
Ah the new age of cheap but fun and useful electronics! These types (PIR) detectors used to be very pricey and not of good quality but now they are nicely priced and better quality on top of that. So for the pros and cons of these and how to make them better. Of the pros is their excellent price! 3 for the price of 2 coffees so not bad at all. Easy to wire up with only 4 wires to deal with. 120 volt so not having to deal with voltage adapters or relays to use them with mains voltage. Very good pickup angles on them. Small, so they can be used in a lot more places. Now for the small negative side of them: They have a fixed time (about 30 seconds) and no way to make it longer or shorter. The only other issue is that they do not want to activate in a medium to bright light but there is a way to fix that. They are easy to open up as held in with two small tabs and then just pull the guts out. Once you have it opened up you can find the Photo Cell (see attached picture) on the circuit board and black it out to make it think that it is in darkness. A black Sharpie will NOT work to cover it so you must use dark paint or something non transparent (like black silicone) to completely cover it so no light can get in on the top of sides. The limited amount of wattage that these can be used with is the only other thing that is not great about them but if needed you can go larger with a relay.

Works well
People who have issues with these most likely don’t realize it only works when it is dark and there is movement, not just movement. I did a work around and painted the photo sensor portion of the sensor so it only works with motion. Now I do wish you could adjust the light sensitivity and time it stays on but over all I think it’s a great value.

POOR INFO.
POOR INFORMATION.Although i am not an electrician, I am fairly knowledgeable in wired equipment & fixtures, but this product stumped ne somewhat. Being from China, the 5 colored wires were not common colors and posed questions as to polarity. What was worse, there were no instructions/indications provided as explanation.

Beware of melting.
Like another reviewer, my sensors all melted and burnt out like in the attached photo. I ensured they were wired correctly per the instructions ( blue = neutrals, yellowl/brown = hots) and tested them all in multiple locations with the same result. Maybe a bad batch or something, but these are dangerous as well as defective.
Chronic Dissatisfaction –
Works great, easy to install
I installed a couple of these on outdoor lights in my side yard. The motion sensing is sensitive enough and there’s very little delay in the lights coming on. Installation was simple, but there’s no way to check that everything is working correctly till it actually gets dark (covering the sensor doesn’t seem to trigger the motion sensing). It would have been nice to override the sensor somehow to verify that the circuits are closed.

Works very well
Very compact, body is very short – threads on body for mounting allow less than 1/2 inch thickness ( elevator ceiling covering in my case ). There were no instructions – found wiring on U-Tube. Wiring colors were foreign to me. Good product, low cost.

Decent product
Worked as described
GAGAN MANGAT –
Working very good for outside light so far

Works fine.Could use longer wire set for installation, and the wires don’t go easily into the new-stylewire ‘nuts’ (spring-clmps) but otherwise good.
Daniel Chu –
Works well but does not work for me. The sensor is too smart. It does not turn the light on as long as there is some room light. Otherwise it works well. No way to defeat it.
Eric –
Sent without anytype of directions, nor did it come with proper connection pigtails, leaving very little splice in new connections.
Michele Sawatzky –
The only draw back is these should have the ability to choose to have the light left on all the time by toggling the power switch.
