    Simple to add to Alexa
These are so quick and easy to set up in the Alexa app. The included directions are a little confusing to follow. Put the bulb in pairing mode by powering it on, turning it off, powering back on, tuning off and powering on again. The light will turn various colors, which indicates it is in pairing mode. If setting up in Alexa, just go right into the Alexa app, set up a new light, choose “Other” for the brand and then choose Matter. Scan the correct QR code on the box that matches to the bulb you are adding and it will connect to the bulb and you can control it with Alexa. It’s just that quick and easy! I have added these bulbs to preexisting groups I have set up and they work perfectly!Love that you can adjust brightness and light color easily within the Alexa app.

    Not worth the trouble
One of the WORST bulbs. I bought 11 boxes. Half of them won’t connect or stay connected defeating the purpose of SMART.

listing is not well worded, leads one to think these may be something more than what they are
Item: “ANWIO Smart Light Bulb BR30 RGB Color Changing, LED WiFi Dimmable Multicolor Light Bulb E26 Base, Compatible with Alexa, Google Assistant, SmartThings, Hub Required, 650lm 8.5W(60W Equivalent) 2 Pack”Price: $22.99Honestly? I have to go low on the review score for this. I’m “underwhelemed” by the lackluster –> everything.Lets start here: $22.99 for TWO (2) Multicolor Smart bulbs is actually QUITE A DECENT PRICE… Right?Well, let me ask, what is the warranty? They actually say this lasts for “approximately 15000 working hours.” In case you need a quick reminder, theres 365 days in a year, and 24 hours in a day. Thats 8760 hours in one year. So what they are telling us is that these will last TWO years.Do you leave your lights on 24/7? No… probably not. I don’t either, however, other bulbs are sold with 3, 5, or 7 year warranties included, and, the average reported lifespan of a typical LED buld is said to be 25000 hours. (with others ranging between 10000 to 50000)….So all this above, tells us, we are getting a “typical” price on some smart bulbs, that are on the lower end of the longevity scale. Thus – not such a great deal. Moving on….Setting the bulbs up was EASY. I have Google, Alexa, and Smartthings. I also have a very nice setup in the home for wireless. (E.g., I have an Asus GT-AXE16000 router) as well as other segregated networks in the home. Ultimately, you’d wonder if its congested but no, not at all. I have maybe 11 devices active currently, and none of them are streaming. I also do not live close to others. The only wifi signals I get are my own.Why am I telling you all of this? BECAUSE THESE BULBS ARE PPPPPPPPPPAAAAAAIIIIIINNNNFULLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLYYYYYYYYYYY SLOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I have Zigbee, I have Z-wave, I have bluetooth and other devices on their own hubs, and they are all fairly responsive, some better than others. But these bulbs are THE SLOWEST BULBS I HAVE EVER USED IN 10 YEARS of smart home use. They are VERY slow. In fact, I find myself having to issue a color change command more than once. While the setup was easy, it took 3+ tries to get them to setup. The color is “ok”. It’s not rich but that is primarily due to the bulbs being dimmer than their competitors bulbs. They tell you on the product page that these 8.5watt “60 watt” equivalent bulbs are 650 lumens. ONLY 650 lumens? A typical run of the mill 60watt will get you 800lumens all day long. Overall, while it has the ability to change color, the bulbs output is “dull”.Lastly, the product page. While they do not list a warranty, the also say a “hub is required”? I was actually hoping this meant Zigbee or Z-wave, but the bulbs pictures say “matter” on them, yet the product listing does not? So when all is said and done, the most important content, content correctly describing the connectivity is wrong, or missing, or misleading. What they mean is, you need a hone wifi internet with 2.4GHz network connectivity. Now last but not least — and this is actually the final nail in the coffin for why I’m giving these ONE star. (if I didn’t list enough reason already)…. The scannable QR code **IS ONY ON THE BOX**!!!!!!! They did include a sticker on the bulb with the Matter code, but they didn’t include the QR…..Really? They are already adding a sticker to the bulb, they might as well have included the QR too!!!! So save the box, or prepare to type in the code if you have to re-add these in the future.overall, while the price is “average” these bulbs missed the mark on ever other selling point. I recommend going elsewhere.

Yes these work with Home Kit/Matter. Double check the Matter IDs between bulb and QR code stickers! The reason you might struggle to pair is a packaging mistake (assuming you remembered to flicker the light to start it pulsing). If the sticker on the box is wrong you can still add the accessory if you note the Matter number on the bulb. Just manually add it and type/paste in the number.

Despite the same manufacturer, indeed 2 different apps. What a pain.

I have had these bulbs installed for almost 4 months. They were easy to set up and connect to Google. Google app has improved recently and connecting with matter enabled devices is even easier. I can change the brightness and colour within Google, which I appreciate – no need for separate app. I find them responsive and have no issues with delays when changing brightness, changing colour or turning on/off. I have them installed in lamps. Would order again.

Well, maybe I am biased as these are my first LED lamps connected to a smart system, and I am having a blast operating them with vocal commands. The connection was quite easy and the compatibility with a variety of systems is wonderful. Brightness and color control are additional sources of fun.You have to be careful as they connect to 2.4GHz systems only, but nowadays most routers have dual mode Wi-Fi, so it should not be a problem unless you have an older device.Overall, I am quite happy with them and the price of $24 CAD for a pack of two at the time of writing seems like a good value. The only thing is that I have not yet switched completely to voice control overall, and while it is fun, a remote sensor might prove to be more practical until you have a number of smart devices for using vocal commands more regularly for more things.
