Automatic Dimming
It turns bright at 7am and dark at 8pm every day. The brightness of day and night can be edited. You can also choose to turn it off.
1-5 brightness adjustment， ‘Auto’ means the brightness automatically dims at 8:00 PM and brightens at 7:00AM (For this nthe brightness of the day is 50cd/m2 and of the night is 10cd/m2); ‘Low’ means the brightness automatically dims at 8:00 PM and brightens at 7:00AM (For this itthe brightness of the day is 50cd/m2 and of the night is 5cd/m2); ‘Off’ means the brightness does not change during the day and the night.(For this mode, the brightness of the day and the night is both 50cd/m2).

Terrific clock and quite a deal!
Bought this clock for my 95-year-old mother who still lives alone. She has problems knowing what day it is and when she should take her medications. This clock fixed her up nicely. The set up and functionality of the clock is simple to set up. The alarms are easy to set up, too and the handy remote makes it easy for mom to turn them off. The bold bright face makes it easy for her to read so she always knows the day and time. A great gift for the senior in your life.

EXCELLENT CLOCK
I have a graveyard of pathetic clocks but this clock has changed that. As a senior citizen, I have to take specific medications on an even/odd day schedule and it’s difficult to check accuracy. This clock is AMAZING. it gives clearly readable day, date , time w/am & pm, month, year, and has a dimmable face that automatically dims at night (and you can choose how dim you’d like it). So easy to set and I can see it from across the room without the brightness and glare of an outdoor movie theater screen. There are no “mystery” settings. Very easy and straight forward. 5 star

BIG lettering.
This clock is for my Mother-in-Law who has trouble seeing and is getting forgetful. She loves the big letters (easy to read) and reassures her each day that she is in control. This is a very helpful clock for those who have memory issues and trouble seeing.

Perfect for elderly with memory loss
This was exactly what we hoped it would be. Although, when you start it up, it defaulted to the red, white, & blue screen (which is patriotic to me, but annoying to the eyes). I could not find the option in the Setup menu to change it to the black & white setting.That’s because it’s NOT in the Settings menu!I had to read the included instructions to learn that holding down the Enter button on either the remote or the back of the unit will cycle through the different screens.It’s very visible without being obtrusive. Simple to set up. It has a hole on the back to hang from a nail on the wall or it has a little stand you can use. It’s very lightweight.I am not using the medicine alarms bc it will freak them out, but I wish I could. You can set up to 10 different alarms, I believe. That’s awesome!Only thing I wish it had was a satellite/nuclear clock time update.Also, the photographs give the screen a blue gradient look. As cool as that is, it’s not actually how it looks. It’s just white on a black screen.Recommended

The click has the day’s calendar date, which is super handy at a glance. The screen is a good size and easy to read. I like that it’s plugged in and not needing batteries. There’s options we don’t use but they would be handy if needed (medication alarms specifically).
