Great for headboards. Really great if you want a light but don’t want to wake your partner
If you share your bed with someone who goes to sleep well before you, and you want to go to bed later but don’t want to stumble into the bedroom or turn on a light and wake them this product is great. It has an adjustable color palette so I set it to blue, 30% intensity, and rotate the swivel away from the bed. When I go to bed hours later I just activate the light from my phone and get into bed safely, stumble free, and without waking anyone. Then I turn the light off from my phone. Also great for reading in bed or turning on a light from your phone.SUPER EASY SETUP. I think I just got this near my Echo Dot and the setup was automatic. No separate app required outside of the Alexa app.

First one Lasted 15 days Second on lasted 35 days
Didn’t last 15 days before breaking Amazon accepted the return. I purchased a replacement and it lasted 35 days Black and Decker support horrible and Amazon has no product support beyond 30 days on these products. Black and Decker is stating they will give me a courtesy replacement but will take 6 to 9 weeks to approve. at 65 buck might have to go through my credit card for a refund. Not recommended.

Poorly designed
The bracket is just not well designed. In an attempt to make it versatile they just made it bad. Sure it can be mounted on vertical or horizontal surfaces. However, the crazy way they made the joint means that mounted either way, it will lean and rattle. More or less, it is a rod that goes into a hole and then a set screw that goes through the hole and threads into the rod. The fit is loose by design. The rod is sloppy in the hole. No matter how tight you turn the set screw, it is still is able to move in the hole. The other problem is that when mounted on the top of the headboard of a bed, the bed will have to be 4 or more inches away from the wall. The way the clamp is made, the thinner the headboard the further from the wall it will have to be. It should have been built with the fixed piece on the end of the bracket and the adjusting piece nearer the lamp. I opted to mount it on the molding on my headboard so I could have the bracket vertical instead of horizontal. This way I do not have to move the bed away from the wall. But since the light is just clamped on to a thin piece of molding, it could easily fall off if it’s bumped or something. It is really not poorly made (it will not break) it is just poorly designed.Setup between the light and Alexa was a piece of cake. One would think that since we have it mounted on our headboard, the switch is right there within reach so why bother with Alexa? Well the switch is mounted on the top and if you are underneath it, you can’t see or feel it at all. The light itself is bright and functional, though I do wish it would angle more in every direction. I don’t really need the different colors either but it’s not like they’re in the way or anything. The other thing I don’t really care for is the bright red cord. But that’s a small thing compared to other more glaring issues.

Missing screws
To start, we really like this lamp. After reading other reviews and carefully measuring our space, we decided the clamp could fit where we intended (a really thick headboard). It did not touch the wall and adds a reading light where other lights have not worked. Yay!The product was missing a screw to assemble the lamp, and after reaching out to the company, we could not get the missing part. We were told to return/replace through Amazon but ended up finding one that worked in our spare hardware box.Overall, like the product, but wish that they could have mailed the missing part (ours looks just slightly different if you’re really looking for it!)

Excellent lamp for my limited space
Good:-Portable.-Clamp works well at securing the lamp.-Adjustable.Bad:-For me, the red cord is loud and I would prefer a gray cord.I ordered the BLACK+DECKER Verve Designer Smart Clamp Light. I like that this lamp provides lighting in areas with limited space. Setup was easy and I like that I can control the lamp via Alexa, the app or by using the control panel on the device. I like the versatile clamp and the lamp head is adjustable to give you the best lighting. Overall, I like that I can move this lamp from my bedside to my craft area for extra lighting.

Just Annoying
This lamp is just annoying. It wobbles and is impossible to adjust. Poorly designed it only produces dim light. And you have to fuss with your phone to get that. Just not worth it.

Great smart light!
I love all of the colors and brightness settings on this smart light. It’s great for reading and the red/orange hues are nice for getting up in the middle of the night. And I think it looks great in our space! Might have to get another one. Definitely recommend!

Overpriced and poor quality
This product has a clamp that is utterly useless. You turn a knob on the end to tighten it but as you approach your desired thickness the open end of the clamp spreads apart, thus you can not get it to stay tight. Within no time at all the clamp was stripped and now won’t hold at all. When using the white settings the light makes a noise, sounds like a little motor running inside the head. Not sure why it does that but it doesn’t do it when using the color setting. I was able to connect it to my Echo and Alexa controlled it well for me. Perhaps the tabletop model of this lamp might be a good choice but stay away from this clamp on version
