Great mics for kid projects.
I’m not doing some crazy high quality stuff here. I used them for recording kids for a Christmas program. They came through amazingly! The audio was so much clearer than I expected. There is a switch to adjust the input volume on the mic so if you have some really loud kids that talk into the mic you can throttle the input down a little and the same for if they are shy in front of the cameras. The price was great! The accessories are great! If I need more I know where to start!

Works really well – and on a budget!!!
I use this with the zoom essentials H4, and really love the sound it produces. It doesn’t seem to cut out side and rear noises 100%, but if it’s close to the subject you’re recording, the difference between the main sounds and the background sounds are enough to give you good separation .I’m a professional photographer, but new to video and the whole audio world. I realize that there’s a big difference between a microphone costing a few hundred dollars and this one, but for me just starting out, this has really improved my audio quality quite a lot .As a bonus, you can actually use a AA battery installed in the microphone if your recorder doesn’t provide 48 volt phantom power. But I haven’t tried that yet .Overall, very happy with this purchase .I saw somebody’s video showing that the microphone wasn’t aligned properly with the hot shoe mount and that the mount was loose. There are two adjusters on the mount. One is for tightening the mount to the hot shoe, and the second one tightens the collar to the microphone. So you can align it however you want in any direction you want and then lock it into place. Maybe that wasn’t so obvious to the person that shot the video. Or maybe it was a competitor trying to discredit this brand. But I have no faults with it.

Nice pickup
Has been a great upgrade for podcast video. Picks up very well, be careful with surrounding noise, will pick up!

extremely sensitive but wonderful value
testing this out i immediately noticed that this mic is extremely sensitive to absolutely everything. it has a little bit of a wider pickup zone than i would normally like, as it picks up a fair amount of background noise if you’re in particularly noisy environments, but it was more than adequate enough, especially for the price, for me to recommend this as a beginner option.

buzzing noise, otherwise good mic
I have a Sony fx30 that I run this mic on. My first one I had for about a year before it went bad and just for the price I grabbed another one and have not had it quite a year yet. Overall this mic sounds great, I film mostly YouTube videos and it’s awesome, but the BIG PROBLEM with this mic for me is that if you try to run a wireless mic simutaniously (I run mine through the top handle of the Sony fx-30, wireless mic and Boya mic where you can get 4 channel audio) then you get a horrible feedback buzzing sound. I have tried other Mics with no issues but every brand of wireless mic I tried running at the same time as the boya gave me the same awful buzzing sound. if you aren’t planning on using wireless mics with it then its a pretty decent affordable option, but if you plan on using wireless mics do not buy this!

Decent Microphone
The microphone is decent quality and will work well for small professional projects. My only qualm at this time is that half of the mic clip is missing from the order. Other than that for this price I don’t feel you can go wrong with this mic.

Very Good, Clean Audio…! Professional Grade.
Very Good, Clean Audio…! Do not let the price fool you, this is a professional grade mic and works very good and has very good audio. This is also professional grade build as well. I am a 33 yr professional photographer and I will most likely buy another one. I have and use a lot of Sennheiser and RODE gear and this is very comparable in every way. Bill Mahon Photo

Quiet.
Very quiet audio, barely picks up anything outside. Even with the gain turned up to max I’m getting about 10% volume of what a cheaper rode picks up. Disappointing.

I bought the BY-BM6060, and what can I say. It’s a great budget microphone. It works. It’s a Super-cardioid condenser mic.But here’s the catch. It’s cheap, so you can buy it. But It sounds worse than mid range options like the Sennheiser mke 600 or even the rode videomic pro.And I know, these microphones are €250, that’s more than double the price of this one. But come on man, you’re spending €1.000 to even €10.000 to buy the latest and greatest, camera’s, lenses and grip. And you’re going cheap on audio?By the time you actually need a super-cardioid microphone instead of something like the €30-50 videomic or lavalier options. You will want something nice, something that sounds good, straight out of the camera.Audio is like half your video, and you should respect it as such. Get your money up, buy the better option or accept shallow sounding audio.

This is an amazing microphone. The sound quality for a small unit is perfect. Great as a mic on your camera or to use for podcasts or video calls

Llevo casi un año usandolo y puedo decir que sigue funcionando bien 👍, no ocupo aún usar las ligas de repuesto para la base del micrófono y funciona bien en exteriores 👌
