Stable Windows-Based Atom Powered NAS
Solid Hardware, plug and play (with basic windows knowledge) — however, the Buffalo software installed can have issues.I’ve had an inability to update the “firmware” as directed by support, I’ve had a fake-failure of all drives in the array after a windows update, but I for the most part feel my data is safe.The fake-failure and alarm were able to be fixed with a registry change, which I do believe is now searchable in all languages on the buffalo site.Machine seems to have a fanless PSU with a significant whine in my unit when powered off but plugged in.Buffalo installed software seems to exhibit high fan speed issues when USB HDD is plugged in.

Item shipped featured Server 2016. I like the product in theory, but was expecting Server 2019. The server OS is not upgradeable. Might have been just an error with my order.
