The 3-series micro motion sensor adds both security and advanced home automation features to your connected home. You can be notified when there’s movement in a certain area and even trigger lighting scenes, HVAC settings, and security alarms based on the detection of motion.
SAFETY AND SECURITY — The Centralite motion sensor or motion detector is the linchpin of your security system because it detects when someone is in your home when they shouldn’t be. A motion sensor uses one or multiple technologies to detect movement in an area.
MULTIPLE USES — Automatically illuminate a dark hallway at night or turn on a nightlight when the kids wake up. Turn on the living room and kitchen lights when your car pulls into the garage. Sensor is sensitive enough to detect motion from across the room and down long hallways.
SAVE ENERGY — Whether you’ll be away from home for a few weeks or hours, the motion sensor can help you proactively turn off lights, set back thermostats, and disable devices that draw power even when off (e.g., televisions, microwaves, and computers).
COMPATIBLE — When paired with a ZigBee HA 1.2 – compatible hub, the sensor can trigger text and e-mail alerts when there is unexpected motion detected in the home. The Sensor is entirely ZigBee HA 1.2 certified and is guaranteed to function with all open ZigBee HA 1.2-certified hubs and devices including Ezlo, SmartThings, Wink, Vera, and ZigBee platforms.
SATISFACTION GUARANTEED — With the purchase of any Centralite by Ezlo product, we offer the Ezlo Smart Home for Life Guarantee, including, anywhere access for your system, guaranteed compatibility, the industry’s longest warranty, always up-to-date cloud infrastructure and Real people here to help.

Yes. This is the Motion Sensor your Smart Home needs.
As long as you have Amazon products, this product will fit perfectly in your new smart home. The requirements are simple; Echo Plus or Echo Show Generation 2. Thats it. When initially opening the box and reading the instructions I was skeptical… you “pull out a battery tab and BOOM connected”… welp.. I pulled the tab.. clicked the button on the side till it was blinking blue and low and behold the indicator beeps green for connected. I asked Alexa to discover devices and there it was. No 3rd party app… no $100 hubs… just the most important piece, the echo app. Now to answer a few questions..Can this work with Phillips Hue?A: Yes! But through the Alexa app. It connects to ANY smart bulb, smart plug, or device you can think of using routines. Is this device practical?A: Absolutely. I have been working in smart home since the echo was launched.. this product couldn’t be easier to use. So far I’m in love with it but we will see how long it will last.Do you need a hub to make this work?A: As long as you’re connecting it to a zigbee hub this will connect and work properly. I would highly recommend saving your money and using it towards an Amazon Echo Plus or Echo Show 2. If you are a Google user I would switch over if you are looking for simplicity and completeness. Can this act as a security motion sensor?A: Yeah, the Routines in the Alexa app really open up the different possibilities necessary to turn lights on to even triggering music (or sirens lol) to play when motion is detected. It integrates very well with Amazon Guard and using Routines you can even have it notify you when the motion occurs in real time. Can this give me temperature readings?A: YES! This is an added bonus with this product that I love. Not only that, but you can create routines at certain temperatures in a room! Amazon really thought of everything, I’m truly surprised I just found out about these but I just bought 2 more for my house. Expect me to buy a bunch more in the future to compliment my Nest Thermostat.

    Planned obsolescence, guaranteed to fail.
At first worked pretty well, then quickly started having connection issues. Range was sporadic. Then they started failing at the EXACT same time.. Like completely dead, new batteries do nothing, entirely unresponsive failure. And luckily I noticed one failed right as it did because I was using it to control heat in my greenhouse and I could have lost all my plants overnight to freezing temps. Now I have literally 5 dead motion sensors that are less than 2 years old. Never buying from this company again.

Shipped with bad battery, pairing and factory reset problems. Excellent support, and worked well in the end.
I cant say if this works or not as the thing arrived with a bad battery. As others stated they had the same result, I returned it and ordered another. If it comes intact, I’ll update this review.UPDATE: After getting teh new one, I had a bit of a problem getting it to pair right with my Echo Plus. Then it didnt seem to want to factory reset. I called thier tech support and got a real human being with almost no phone trees. They said theyd have their tech support call me. While waiting I was able to factory reset it myself, but their support did call within about 30 minutes. Very good service there, Im impressed. As for the device itself – its pretty good, you can definately set routines in Alexa based on what happens when it sees motion as well as what to do when it doesnt see motion after amounts of timein 1 minute increments. Pretty nice.

Works well, good compromise feature set, eats batteries
As others have reported, the main issue with this sensor is battery use. For the price, it’s a nice compromise feature set, reporting motion and temperature. Costs more than some motion sensors that have no other properties reported (eg third reality), costs less than Aeotec and Hue sensors that have the most features. I also like that it’s easy to mount in a corner due to the two angled sides.Unfortunately, it does indeed drain the battery. Mine reported 75% when I received it and installed it. Less than a month later, it’s down to 50%. As many users know, battery reporting is not always accurate and devices can stop working soon after they hit 40-50% . If that’s the case, I’ll be replacing the battery every 2 months, which is too often.I have 3 days left on my return window, so I may be sending this back even though I like it. 4 or more battery changes/year is too many.

    Strange behavior
I bought this sensor to work on our front porch. The package came with two sticky slips for installation. That will work for indoor where the installation location is smooth, but didn’t work for our case. I had to get a small flat wood piece, install the wood piece and stick the sensor on the wood. Minor problem. The problem is the following strange behavior. The sensor showed 20% battery after installation. Then after a week, it showed 1%, and then flipped between 20% and 1% every day. It also reported temperature far off. After ten days, it stayed at 1% reporting, and then stopped working.I thought that I received a dude, and tried to exchange it. The replacement sensor behaviors the same. It started 67% battery reporting, then reports 33%, 1%. In the past several days, it reports battery between 1% and 33%. Again the temperature reporting is 5% off (I have another sensor installed near by).The sensor itself works. But I am not sure what to do with the battery issue. If the battery is bad, then I can buy a new battery. But It is not a battery issue.Update (1/28/2019): I raised my rating from 1 star to 3 star for the following reason. First, pairing is easy. It has long range. My Samsung smart hub is about 60 feet away from this sensor. It still works ok. The main thing, as I complained is battery. I am on my second one, which is a replacement. The reported battery of the sensor bounced discretely among 67%, 33%, and 1%. It has been on 33% for three days. The behavior is very similar to the first one which I returned. Is it battery issue, or just reporting incorrect battery level? The product description says 2-year battery life.

Follow instructions and should be trouble free install. Do cover all exposed wire if not fixed in place

Been using it for nine months with SmartThings V2 then V3 hubs. Been working perfectly, and seems to have a very long battery life. Use it for humidity detection to trigger an HVAC fan. Highly recommend this product.

Unit works good, but Smartthings loaded a driver that just didn’t work. D/L a better third party driver, now works as expected, but battery way off.
